BY JOJO DE LOS SANTOS FITNESS DIRECTOR
March brings fresh starts, renewed energy, and the perfect opportunity to refocus on healthy habits. As the days grow longer and spring approaches, staying active is one of the best ways to support heart health, boost energy levels, and build consistency in your wellness routine.
At Solivita, movement is designed to be enjoyable, social, and accessible for all fitness levels. Along with our wide variety of fitness classes, we’re proud to offer engaging dance options such as ballroom dancing, line dancing, and more—making it easy to stay active while having fun and connecting with others.
We’re also grateful for our dedicated volunteers who help expand our wellness offerings. Highlights include Dancing Diehards on Sundays, ballroom dancing private lessons on Thursdays at The Palms, and Tai Chi practice, just to name a few. These volunteer-led classes continue to bring energy, connection, and variety to our fitness community.
New classes are launching this March, including Beginner’s Yoga
and Qigong for Life – Energy Flow, both focused on flexibility, balance, relaxation, and mindful movement. In addition, we’re excited to introduce Circl Movement, a dynamic, low-impact class designed to improve mobility and strength, now offered Saturday mornings at the Riviera.
If you’re looking for extra guidance or motivation, our personal trainers are always available to help you get started or refresh your routine. Busy mornings are no barrier—an evening trainer is also available to support your goals. Be sure to pick up an updated fitness schedule at any of the fitness locations so you don’t miss out on everything Solivita has to offer this season.
To celebrate movement and community, we invite you to join us for the State Qualifying Senior Pickleball Games on March 10th, 11th, and 12th in Freedom Park. Pickleball is a fun, low-impact activity that enhances balance, coordination, and cardiovascular health while offering plenty of opportunities for connection and friendly competition. Everyone is welcome.

SUBMITTED BY ERIC LARSON TEAM LEADER OF SOLIVITA CERT
March has arrived. Temps are warming up after a chilly January and February. Let us not forget March means St. Patrick’s Day. Then there is spring cleaning!
It’s time to check and prepare your emergency supplies and plans. In addition to being the team leader for CERT, I am an “old” Boy Scout Leader and Scoutmaster for almost 30 years. One of the most important things I learned as a Scout and a leader is “Be Prepared.”
How do you know what’s going on? Listen to available radio (weather radio). TV and internet will likely not work with power out. How long will your cellphone battery last?
Do you have a generator and know how to use it? Is there gas for it that isn’t stale? You should start it once a month. For our concrete and stucco homes, Polk County recommends sheltering-in-place; that is, staying in your home.
Can you evacuate? Not likely after the fact. Evacuation routes will be crowded at best; access roads may be closed. Your evacuation option is to go as soon as you hear of the coming event. You need to plan for this. What’s your route and destination? Do you have a travel disaster kit? What about prescriptions? What about your pet—food, medicine, toys? Who will look after your home here?
What do you eat? What you have at home—what you put aside
Friday, March 27th • 8am • Ballroom Newsletter volunteers are needed and will be assisting with: Bagging (8am); Labeling (8:30am); and Delivery (Starting at 9:30am). Delivery volunteers are asked not to leave the Ballroom until all neighborhoods have been completely assembled If you do not receive your newsletter by Monday, March 30th you’ll need to pick a copy up at the Club Concierge Desk in the Admin Building (formerly the Welcome Center) between 9am-5pm.

in your disaster kit. Maybe get together with neighbors and pool your supplies.
How do you repair minor damage to your home? With the supplies in your disaster kit (duct tape, trash bags, plastic sheeting). You will be very lucky if you can find such supplies in stores after the event occurs.
What do you do about more serious damage to your home? Take photos before you touch anything and notify your insurance company as soon as communications are restored. Keep important papers in a water-tight container in case there is water intrusion in your home.
Do you have special needs (e.g., oxygen)? Have you registered with the county? They will come and transport you to an appropriate shelter ahead of time, but not likely after the situation has hit.
How do you let family know you are OK? Notify an out-of-area family/friend contact about your situation. Don’t call everyone or your cell battery will run down; let them do it. Arrange with that contact person ahead of time to be able to handle this issue.
BOTTOM LINE: You NEED a PLAN now—stay or evacuate to where? Who will inspect your home? You need a DISASTER KIT now with some tools, flashlights and some inexpensive supplies. You need FOOD AND WATER now for at least 3 days.
If you want to change the status of the Reflections delivery to your home, you can do this on SolivitaHOA. com by navigating to the “Lifestyles” tab > Scroll down and click the “Communications” icon > Scroll down to the “Reflections” icon > Scroll down to the Delivery Form to fill out and submit. You can also find this form by scanning the QR code or contact Wilman De Jesus, Communications Coordinator via phone at 863-427-7137 or email Wilman at SolivitaCommunications@ CastleGroup.com.

SUBMITTED BY JOHN COMAN STONEGATE GENERAL MANAGER
In a community as vibrant as ours, the best memories are often made around the dinner table—sharing a laugh over a great meal, celebrating a birthday with neighbors, or simply enjoying a relaxing evening close to home. We know that for some of you, it may have been a while since you last dined with us. If an experience didn’t quite hit the mark, we would love the opportunity to earn your seat at the table once again.
The most significant change you’ll notice isn’t just on the menu—it’s in our leadership. We are incredibly proud to announce that our new Management Team is comprised of longtime Team Members you likely already know and recognize. These dedicated individuals have been promoted from within because of their years of hard work, deep understanding of our community, and unwavering passion for excellence. They aren’t just managers; they are your neighbors’ favorite servers and supervisors who have stepped up to ensure the food and service have never been better.
We are focusing on quality, consistency, and exciting new reasons to visit. Please note that Mosaics is now our exclusive location for reservations, enabling us to provide a more curated, seamless dining experience. We are also thrilled to introduce two new weekly highlights at Mosaics:
• Tapas Tuesday - Perfect for sharing! Enjoy a variety of small plates and bold flavors in a social, relaxed atmosphere.
• Prime Rib Saturday - A true classic. Join us every Saturday for a perfectly seasoned, slow-roasted prime rib dinner.
Whether you’re visiting The Bistro for a quick bite or heading to Mosaics for a special evening, the energy in our kitchens have never been higher. We aren’t just aiming for “good”—we are aiming to be your favorite place to eat. The Grille is also open seven days a week and offers breakfast service on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We would love to see you there after a round of golf, or anytime you are looking for an outstanding casual dining experience. The Grille also offers daily specials curated by Executive Chef Charles Jackson. We invite you to see, taste, and experience the difference for yourself.
Ready to try the new Mosaics? Reservations are highly recommended for our specialty nights (11am to 7pm). To make your reservation, please call 863-427-7167.
