Letter From the Lifestyle Team AMBER ELLIS YOUR RESORT MANAGER
Fall is in the air! As we trade long summer days for a season packed with fun, friends, and exciting community events, there’s plenty to look forward to here in paradise. September is filled with opportunities to connect, laugh, and indulge, beginning with a lively Trivia Night and an elegant Wine Dinner, where great conversation, delicious cuisine, and exceptional wines will create the perfect recipe for a memorable evening with friends and neighbors. October brings even more ways to stay active, engaged, and connected. Fall in love with healthy living at our annual Fall in Love with Wellness event; celebrate the season with neighbors at our Fall Fest Party; and embrace a little friendly competition during our annual Pickled Pink pickleball tournament benefiting cancer survivors and our annual golf tournament benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Whether you’re playing, cheering on participants, or supporting the causes, these events are a wonderful way to give back. We look forward to sharing these experiences and more with you and making this fall a season of friendship, wellness, generosity, and fun-filled memories.

TEAM SPOTLIGHT / PET FEATURE
Naima Cacciabaudo CAFÉ ATTENDANT
M
eet Naima, our new Café Attendant. Please join us in welcoming Naima to the Esplanade team as our new Café Attendant! Naima moved to Florida from North Carolina five years ago and has quickly made the Sunshine State her home. In her free time, she enjoys expressing her creativity through painting and drawing. She is also passionate about aquatic life and maintains several fish tanks, a hobby she truly loves. Before joining our team, Naima worked as a kindergarten teacher, where she enjoyed helping young children learn and grow. She is currently pursuing her education in behavioral therapy and hopes to build a career in that field, helping others make positive changes in their lives. Naima is excited to be part of the Esplanade family, and we are thrilled to have her serving our Members. Be sure to stop by the Café and say hello!
Furry Friends Meet Bella
LOVED BY BARTON BLOOM & LAUREL CALLAHAN Get ready to fall in love! This month’s Pet Spotlight shines on Bella, an adorable six-month-old Shih Tzu who has already stolen hearts all around the community. Bella was the very last puppy left in her litter in Orlando, and as fate would have it, she was simply meant to be. While some might have waited for a brand-new litter, her owner just couldn’t resist that sweet little face and knew Bella was the one. Sometimes the last one waiting is the most special of all! Bella is full-bred Shih Tzu with the happiest personality and the cutest little expressions you’ve ever seen. From her playful energy to her snuggly moments, Bella brings nonstop joy wherever she goes. With her soft fluff, bright eyes, and lovable spirit, Bella truly is the cutest thing ever. We are so lucky she’s part of our community!

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT / SPA
Sherri Fucito & Gina Palmero The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you would like to be featured or want to nominate another Member, please contact your Lifestyle Manager.
M
eet Sherri Fucito and Gina Palmero, two wonderful Members who have called Esplanade home for the past four years. Both ladies moved from New York. Sherri and her husband Bob are from Long Island, New York. Gina and Michael are from Dutchess County. Soon after moving into Esplanade, Sherri suffered a stroke which caused her to drift away from her normal workout routine. She found it hard to get back into her groove. Not finding a class suitable for her level, she wanted to create a club that was inclusive to all Members. Gina has transformed herself through the fitness classes, which motivated her to create a club where everyone, no matter their fitness abilities, could benefit while having fun. Meeting on the same block, these ladies got together and created an easy-going indoor fitness club for all levels. Members can enjoy a variety of activities including low impact step walking, light and easy dance movements, and beginner-friendly Tai Chi. Sign up on Clubhouse Online and stop by Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. in the Movement Studio to get your health on.

The Benefits of Lifting Heavy with Low Reps
ifting heavy weights and doing lower reps can help build strength, increase lean muscle, support a healthy metabolism, and improve overall performance. Strength training also promotes better bone health, confidence, and resilience as we age. Lifting heavier challenges your muscles to adapt, helping you become stronger and more capable in everyday life. When paired with proper form, consistency, and recovery, strength training is a powerful tool for creating lasting changes in both your body and your overall wellness. If you have any questions about weights, proper form, or how to use the equipment in the gym, make sure to reach out to our Wellness & Sports Manager or connect with one of our personal trainers so they can help you on your wellness journey.
Finding Balance W
ellness is about creating balance, developing healthy habits, and supporting your body’s natural processes. GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) is a naturally occurring hormone that plays an important role in regulating appetite, digestion, and blood sugar levels—all of which can contribute to metabolic health and weight management. While interest in GLP-1 therapies continues to grow, the foundation of long-term wellness remains a healthy lifestyle that includes nutritious foods, regular physical activity, quality sleep, and effective stress management. For some individuals, GLP-1–based therapies may be an option to discuss with a qualified healthcare provider as part of a personalized wellness plan. Understanding the choices available to you—and how they may complement healthy lifestyle habits—can help you make informed decisions that support your individual goals.
