Bentley is a 10-week old Goldendoodle with lots of fluffy fur and even more personality! He loves looking at himself in the mirror and barking at that adorable puppy staring back. He really loves his parents, Lisa and Victor Defense. They take such good care of Bentley, play with him, and give him the best snuggles ever. Bentley is very playful and full of energy, always ready to chase toys, run around, and make new friends. One of his favorite things to do is give lots and lots of kisses. He loves cuddles, belly rubs, and being the center of attention. Life is pretty exciting when you’re a happy little pup like Bentley!

At 68 years young (and proudly turning 69 this April!), Joyce brings warmth, joy, and heart to everything she does. Happily married to Charles and devoted to her family, she is the proud mom of two wonderful children—her son, Ryan, and her daughter, Samantha. Charles and Joyce’s greatest treasures are their two beautiful grandchildren, Jordan (7) and Briella (6), who keep them smiling and busy. Family is everything to them, and they cherish every moment spent making memories together.
At home, life is just as lively thanks to their two beloved pups. Lily, their sweet 13-year-old, has been a loyal companion for years, and Toodles—who many in the community already know and adore—is turning two and winning hearts everywhere she goes! Known for her kindness and welcoming spirit, Joyce also has a passion for cooking. Whether she’s preparing a meal for family or sharing something delicious with friends, she puts love into every dish. We’re so lucky to have Joyce and Charles as part of our community!

GATHERING
We wanted to highlight the Book Club here at Esplanade at Tradition because of how special it has become. It first started with only four Members and has grown to 14. Sometimes, the author of the book they were reading even joined the club meeting via Zoom.

HAPPY HOUR
Members got together for our Neighborhood Happy Hour. They indulged in meals prepared by fellow neighbors and got to know each other on a deeper level. Events like this help Members connect and just have a good time.

THE BIG GAME PARTY
Members had a blast at the Big Game Party and brought dishes to share. It was a full house, and four Members won prizes for our game pool. One Member provided helmets from each team that were raffled off. We cannot wait until next year’s party!
VOLLEYBALL Pool
Pool volleyball was chaotic in the best way. The water slowed movement, turning every jump dramatic and every save heroic. Splashes, laughter, and slippery teamwork filled the game as players battled the weight of wet arms. It wasn’t about perfect plays, but sun-soaked fun and friendly competition.

The Social Club enjoyed a vibrant celebration of rhythm and culture, filled with lively music and dancing in the spirit of island life.

Members gathered for a lively Trivia Night with DJ Steve, testing their knowledge across a variety of categories. From music and movies to tricky facts, the competition sparked laughter and friendly rivalry. With high energy and plenty of “aha!” moments, it was a fun, memorable evening shared with great company.

Esplanade completed the Heart & Sole 5K that took place on February 14 at the heart in Tradition. As a certified nutrition consultant, culinary educator, and Level 1 Olive Oil Sommelier, Sarah blends science, storytelling, and hands on technique to show how flavor can be a powerful pathway to wellness. Through her work, she has crafted experiences that celebrate nourishment, creativity, and the belief that healthy eating should always feel exciting and accessible.
