Whether you’re interested in outdoor adventures, creative pursuits, social gatherings, or wellness and fitness, there’s something for everyone. Furry Friends

Meet TeddiBear

LOVED BY ANN & BILL COBB

TeddiBear became a joyful part of our family during Covid. One evening, we drove to Miami to pick her up, and she was handed to us at the car like it was some sort of covert operation. The moment we saw that little ball of brown fur looking just like a teddy bear, we were in love. Our Shih Tzu–Maltese–poodle mix pup became our TeddiBear!

At her first vet visit, the doctor wasn’t exactly pleased with us. He thought she was far too tiny to be adopted. She was only half a pound and seemed so young he even changed her birth date from mid-March to April. She did not come with official papers, so we celebrate TeddiBear’s birthday on April 1.

Teddi thrived in her new home with us. Back in Pompano, we’d walk her by the beach. She was so small that people would lean out of their car windows just to film the half-pound pup strutting along on a leash. She even went off to doggy training camp and came back… well, let’s just say “mostly trained.” Instead of rushing to greet us when we come home, she prefers to wait for us to find her. She is always burrowed in the pillows, making her very hard to find, and when dinner is called let’s just say she has her own ideas.

Teddi adores people, Lamb Chop toys, fried chicken chews, and riding along in her doggy bag for shopping trips. Her greatest passion is lizard chasing. Back in Pompano, she even caught iguanas bigger than herself! When she joins us for dinner outings, she’s quick to put on a little show—dancing until strangers stop to give her attention. Please say hello when you see us around!

Children’s Home Society

This past holiday season, Taylor Morrison proudly adopted The Children’s Home Society of the Treasure Coast as part of our annual Holiday Outreach program. The organization supports young adults and young mothers with infants who are transitioning out of foster care, providing them with a safe and supportive environment.

Thanks to the generosity of our Esplanade at Tradition homeowners, we were able to make a meaningful impact and spread holiday cheer to those in need. Together, we helped bring comfort and joy to the youth and families supported by The Children’s Home Society — a heartfelt reminder of the power of community and kindness.

Second Annual

GOLF TOURNAMENT

What an incredible day on the greens! Our Golf Tournament at St. Lucie Trails brought together golfers, sponsors, and Members for a fun-filled day in support of Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event kicked off bright and early with check-in, silent auction and drawings, a putting contest, and time on the driving range and practice green as participants warmed up for the day ahead. It was a shotgun start with a 4-person scramble.

Throughout the course, players competed in exciting contests including a Longest Drive on Hole 8 (Men/Women) and Closest to the Pin on all Par 3 holes (Men/Women). After a great day of friendly competition, participants gathered for a tournament dinner, as awards were announced and stories were shared.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all players, guests, and sponsors who made this event such a success. Your support helps the Tunnel to Towers Foundation continue its incredible work honoring our nation’s heroes. Special appreciation goes out to our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors, as well as everyone who sponsored a tee boxyour generosity truly made a difference!

Pickled Pink

PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

What an inspiring day on the courts! Our Pickled Pink event proved that pickleball is more than just a game- it’s a movement of hope, unity, and purpose. Players and supporters came together, paddles in hand and dressed in their brightest shades of pink, to rally for the cure and show their support for breast cancer warriors, survivors, and thrivers. From the first serve to the final point, every match carried a message: we play with heart, fight with purpose, and stand together in pink. The energy, laughter, and camaraderie on the courts reflected the true spirit of the day - community in motion, united for a cause that touches so many lives.

All proceeds from the event, including participant fees and sponsorships, benefited the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida, helping to provide essential support for those battling breast cancer and their families. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to every player, volunteer, and supporter who helped make Pickled Pink –Playing for a Purpose such a success. Together, we served hope, smashed fear, and rallied for the cure.

COSTUME CONTEST

This event brought together our community’s furriest friends (and their proud humans) for an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and heart— all in support of the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. With tails wagging and costumes shining, our four-legged participants strutted their stuff in the parade, competing for prizes awarded to the top three best-dressed pets. A special thank you goes to Member Karen Humsey, who joined us to share information about the Humane Society’s mission, their urgent needs, and details about the Kennel Renew Project, an initiative to upgrade kennel spaces to provide safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environments for dogs awaiting their forever homes. Our community truly showed its compassion and generosity, raising $283 in donations for the Humane Society, matched dollar-for-dollar, and contributing a wonderful collection of pet supplies to support the cause.

They have a 46-year-old son, Jaime. He and his wife, Heather, have two beautiful daughters: 10-year-old Ella and 5-year-old, Blake. Her granddaughters are the light of her life!

Joy was an elementary education teacher for five years, but after having her own children, she decided to go into the active-wear clothing business. She made that decision because of her passion for fitness and fashion. She owned and operated her own clothing store in NY and then opened one in South Florida.

After many years of being an entrepreneur, she lost her beautiful daughter, Julia, at the age of 12 to leukemia. Years later, she was guided to raise a funds for children with cancer and raised over $100,000 for Gilda’s Club South Florida and $25,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by doing a triathlon in Hawaii with Team in Training. She was the top fundraiser in the country, a high achievement at the age of 52.

After her daughter’s passing, she did not feel fulfilled in the clothing industry and went on to pursue her passion of health and nutrition. She became a Nana on a Mission, inspiring healthy living around the world. She felt this was a great way to honor her daughter and help

What is HIRT?

We’ve all heard of HIIT (high intensity interval training). but what about HIRT? If you’re not familiar with high intensity resistance training, get ready to learn how this type of workout can boost the results you get from weight training.

The fundamental principle of HIRT is using short, intense periods of resistance training (performed with a lot of effort and focus) plus enough recovery time between sessions. In a HIRT-style session, you will do a series of strength exercises without rest, followed by a short recovery between blocks of work. Think circuits or giant sets, but in a more structured style.

HIRT jacks up your heart rate and keeps recovery time short, leading to superior calorie burn, muscle stimulation, and fitness adaptations. Today’s HIRT workouts use dumbbells, free weights, cables, suspension trainers, and fixed bars to give you a fast, intense, and effective workout you can do at home or in the gym. Visit your TechnoGym App to learn more and try a HIRT workout.

Ambient Wellness

Ambient wellness is an emerging approach to health that focuses on the subtle, often unnoticed moments in our day that naturally support our well-being. Instead of structured routines, it highlights how micro-awe (those tiny moments of noticing something beautiful), soft background sounds, indirect natural light, and simple social interactions can quietly lower stress, balance our mood, and improve sleep without any effort. By making small, gentle shifts, like letting in a bit more daylight, adding a natural texture to a room, or taking a brief pause to notice something pleasant, we can elevate our daily wellness in a way that feels effortless. Sometimes, the smallest ambient moments have the biggest impact on how we feel.

Facials

Getting a facial can be more than just “pampering” — it’s a smart skincare investment. It supports both appearance and skin health in the long term. Plus, the relaxation aspect is a nice additional perk. Having a professional facial offers a lot of benefits and in a place like Florida, where sun exposure, humidity, and city-life stress are common, the advantages may be even more relevant. Some key benefits are deep cleansing and exfoliation, improved circulation and detoxification, hydration and balancing oil production, anti-aging and skin tone/texture improvement, relaxation, stress relief & overall wellbeing, and better absorption of skincare products.

VISIT THE SPA AT ESPLANADE

Book your appointment today with one of our licensed aestheticians and ask the Wellness team about the benefits of the superior products offered through the Spa. For more information or to book your service, call 772-254-9850.

Help Backyard Wildlife W

inter is here and it’s a perfect time to spend a Green Hour® helping backyard wildlife thrive throughout the season. Many of the beneficial insects, birds, and small animals in your backyard may find it harder to find shelter, water, and food in the coming months. You can help by simply placing a shallow dish of water in a sunny spot in your backyard. If you place a container on the ground, add a rock or two near the edge to help smaller creatures crawl out. Keep the containers clean and refill when low. Find more tips and activities from the National Wildlife Federation by scanning the QR code or visit thegreenhour.org/ activity/help-backyard-wildlife.
