Summer is here!
It’s summertime and the living is easy here at Esplanade at Starling. Longer days, warm evenings, and that effortless summer energy set the tone for an exciting season ahead. We’re kicking off July with the return of Chef Marco’s Cooking & Cocktails Series on July 3, bringing Members a Mediterranean-inspired evening of fresh flavors, interactive culinary fun, and signature cocktails.
Then, as we continue the celebration, our community comes together for festive July fourth events filled with summer spirit, connection, and celebration. Closing out the month on July 30, Chef Vanessa debuts our very first Culinary Celebration, An Evening in Peru, where bold flavors, vibrant dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and cultural immersion promise an unforgettable night.
Beyond these exciting highlights, our summer calendar is packed with laid-back socials, lively gatherings, and endless opportunities to connect, unwind, and enjoy the lifestyle that makes Esplanade at Starling so special.

Meet Twinky & Lila
LOVED BY CARLOS RIVERA & ALMA ROBLES
Twinky and Lila joined the family in different ways, but both quickly became cherished companions. Twinky, a rescue dog, has been part of the family for the past seven years. He was originally welcomed home to provide companionship for Alma following the loss of her beloved dog. From the very beginning, however, Twinky formed an especially close bond with Carlos and has rarely left his side since. Energetic, playful and always ready for an adventure, Twinky loves chasing his little ball and keeping everyone entertained with his spirited personality.
Alma later adopted Lila, a sweet Maltipoo who soon became her inseparable companion. Lila even accompanies Alma to work each day. In contrast to Twinky’s outgoing nature, Lila is calm, shy and deeply protective of Alma. She can be nervous around small children and is usually happiest quietly staying close by.
Together, Twinky and Lila bring comfort, companionship and endless joy to the family. Their distinct personalities complement one another beautifully and serve as a daily reminder of the meaningful bond shared between people and their pets.
Brooke is a proud Southwest Florida native with a passion for creativity, meaningful connections and making lasting memories with the people she loves most. Growing up in Southwest Florida gave her a deep appreciation for community, family and the simple moments that make life special. She enjoys finding new ways to bring people together and make everyday experiences feel a little more meaningful.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys getting lost in a good book, diving into new crafting projects, spending time with her dog, Plato, and making memories with family and friends.
She values time spent with the people who matter most. Brooke has a warm, positive personality and genuinely enjoys connecting with others. She values authenticity, personal growth and creating a life filled with purpose and joy!

Carlos Rivera and Alma Robles have shared 35 years of marriage, ministry, and service, building a life rooted in faith, education, and compassion. Their journey began in high school, where they first met and quickly realized they were meant to build a future together. Shortly after graduation, they married and embarked on a lifelong mission of serving others.
Alma is the founder and director of a thriving Christian academy in the Orlando area, serving students from preschool through 12th grade. Her passion for education is deeply intertwined with her commitment to nurturing both the academic and spiritual growth of young people. In addition to her work in education, Alma finds joy in art and Bible journaling, creative outlets that beautifully reflect her faith and devotion.
Carlos has dedicated more than 25 years to ministry and theological education. As a minister and theology teacher, he now reaches students across Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and the United States through online teaching. His passion for sharing God’s Word and fostering spiritual development continues to impact countless lives around the world.
Together, Carlos and Alma have devoted themselves to missions and humanitarian outreach, participating in efforts throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and their local communities. Their shared commitment has helped provide essential resources such as food, medicine, and encouragement to those in need.
They are proud parents to two children, Princess and Eddie, both now married, and loving grandparents to three cherished grandchildren: Leila, Alivia, and Jedidiah. Completing their joyful family are their beloved dogs, Twinky and Lila. Through decades of faith, service, and love, Carlos and Alma exemplify a life dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

We delighted our Members with A Taste of Brazil featuring the incredible Chef Marco Marini! From authentic Brazilian flavors to exquisite presentations, every bite celebrated the rich culture and passion of Brazil.
Evening Outing AT POPSTROKE
We took the fun off-site and brought plenty of energy to PopStroke for an afternoon of friendly competition and nonstop laughs. There were clutch putts, a few impressive saves, several “we’ll count that” moments and plenty of good-natured cheering along the way. It was the perfect mix of playful rivalry, great company and a little putting magic.

What a blast we had at our Slice & Toss Pizza Party! We fired up the pizza oven and tossed out fresh pies while we played a little cornhole. Members came hungry and ready for pizza, laughs, and some friendly competition with neighbors!
