Fall is in the air! Hello McKinnon Groves! Let me be the first to officially welcome you to paradise. Whether you are finishing unpacking or are still watching your new home be built, we are SO glad you’re here. My name is Brianna and I am absolutely thrilled to be your Lifestyle Manager. It has been such a joy watching the community progress over the last few months. The sales team and I have awaited the day when homes are closed on and we finally have our community Members starting to join us here, and that day has officially come! Our community is growing quickly, and it feels like every day there is something new to discover. If you have or are about to close on your home, we are excited to have you as our neighbors and that you now get to be within walking distance of our mixers, crafting, and cornhole. Remember to stop into the next Esplanade 101 to get the full lowdown on everything Esplanade and McKinnon Groves specific. If your home is still being built, you can continue to come join us for all of the fun events we have planned and meet your new neighbors! I remember when my family moved to Florida over 10 years ago and how much we enjoyed passing our new-build (also a Taylor Morrison home!) and guessing what stage construction would be at, envisioning our completed home, and running into neighbors doing the same thing. It is such an exciting time – and it’s just the beginning! I can’t wait to meet and get to know all of you as we grow Esplanade at McKinnon Groves and truly make it your perfect permanent vacation.

Brianna Wesolowski YOUR LIFESTYLE MANAGER
O
riginally from Long Island, New York, Brianna has proudly called Winter Garden home for the past 11 years now. A graduate of Bishop Moore Catholic High School and The University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, she has built her career around creating memorable experiences and bringing people together through events. In 2018, Brianna met her husband, Alex, while working at Publix in Hamlin, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Their love story has been filled with exciting milestones, including getting engaged in 2021, adopting their beloved puppy Bellini in 2022, getting married in 2023, and now preparing to welcome their first baby. When they’re not working, Brianna and Alex can often be found exploring Walt Disney World, enjoying time at the parks and resorts, or trying new restaurants around Central Florida. Self-proclaimed foodies, their favorite dining spots are The Boathouse, where Alex serves as a manager, and The Melting Pot. With a true passion for event planning and a professional background rooted in the wedding and events industry, Brianna loves creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect and build community. She is thrilled to have found a permanent home here and is excited to plan unique, customized events that bring neighbors together and create lasting memories for all Members.

8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Esplanade at Center Lake Ranch 100% of the tournament fee collected per Member will benefit an organization supporting Breast Cancer Awareness efforts. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, register with your doubles partner and take part in competitive play on the courts with Members of neighboring Esplanade communities, as you enjoy live entertainment by our DJ, and light refreshments! This 4-hour tournament will consist of a 1-hour, timed round-robin event for Men’s and Women’s doubles, and mixed doubles play. After the tournament, the top three doubles teams from each event, as well as the overall high-scoring Esplanade community, will be recognized at a special awards ceremony. Both men and women are encouraged to come dressed in their best pink pickleball attire, as we participate in a shared effort to raise money and end breast cancer. Spectators are also encouraged to wear pink and cheer on their home teams! Registration: Tickets are $50 per Member. Players and spectators must register. We hope to see you there!

Furry Friends Meet Bellini
LOVED BY BRIANNA WESOLOWSKI Bellini is the tiny little love of Brianna’s life. She and her husband Alex adopted Bellini in January of 2022 when she was just 10 weeks old. She is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier, or as her parents like to call her, a Yorkshire Terror. She is only five pounds but somehow has full control of the house. She loves to sleep, cuddle with Mama, and play with Dada. She is a surprisingly healthy pup, with her snacks of choice being cucumbers, green apples, and cauliflower. Don’t be fooled, though, her all-time favorite treat is the coveted “pup-cup,” which she only gets when she’s being a VERY good girl (or any time she sees her Nonna). On an average day, you can find her cuddled up on her blankie or making trips to her favorite store, Target. Her parents like to say, “It’s Bellini’s world, we all just live in it!”

Staying Hydrated in the Florida Heat!
A
s Florida temperatures continue to climb, staying hydrated becomes more important than ever. Proper hydration helps regulate body temperature, supports healthy joints and muscles, maintains energy levels, and promotes focus and concentration. In hot, humid weather, your body can lose fluids quickly, making it important to replenish them throughout the day. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, walking around the neighborhood, exercising outdoors, or running errands, drinking enough fluids is one of the easiest ways to help your body feel its best. If plain water isn’t your favorite, there are plenty of refreshing ways to make hydration more enjoyable. Add lemon, lime, cucumber, strawberries, oranges, or fresh mint to your water for a naturally flavored twist. Unsweetened herbal iced tea, coconut water, and sparkling water with a splash of fruit juice can also add variety. Keeping a pitcher of infused water in the refrigerator makes it easy to reach for a cool, flavorful drink. Hydration doesn’t only come from your glass! Water-rich foods such as watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, strawberries, celery, grapes, and tomatoes can contribute to your fluid intake while providing important nutrients. For a refreshing warm-weather snack, try frozen grapes, homemade fruit popsicles, or yogurt pops—a delicious way to cool down during hot late-summer and early-fall afternoons. Rather than waiting until you feel thirsty, make a habit of sipping fluids consistently throughout the day. Keep a reusable water bottle nearby, refill it regularly, and drink extra fluids when spending time outdoors or being physically active. Watch for signs that you may need more fluids, including thirst, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, or darker-colored urine. With a few simple habits, staying hydrated can become an effortless part of your wellness routine—helping you stay refreshed, energized, and ready to enjoy the final days of summer.

Be a Monarch Hero
atch a glimpse of monarchs on the move. Head outside and see if you can spot monarch butterflies migrating through or over-wintering in your neighborhood! You might confuse monarch butterflies with other orange and black butterflies—the viceroy, and the queen butterfly. Learn to tell the difference and ways you can help monarchs and other butterflies year-round! Here are five things you can do: 1) Plant native milkweed; 2) Say no to pesticides; 3) Create a pollination station - butterflies love many colorful flowers; 4) Learn more about monarchs; and 5) Spread the word! Pumpkin Swirl Brownies The weather might not be cooling down just yet, but autumn is here. Evoke the coziness of the season with this delicious brownie recipe! INGREDIENTS » » » » » » » » » » » » » »
¾ cup all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt ¾ cup butter, melted 1½ cups sugar 2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 eggs ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips ¼ cup cocoa powder ½ cup pumpkin puree ½ cup chopped walnuts ¾ teaspoon cinnamon ½ teaspoon ground cloves ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8-inch square pan. 2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. 3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time. 4. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Divide the batter evenly between two bowls. 5. Mix chocolate chips and cocoa powder into one bowl. Mix pumpkin puree, walnuts, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg into the other. 6. Layer half of the chocolate batter, then half of the pumpkin batter, in the prepared pan. Repeat the layers, then swirl gently with a knife. 7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool before cutting into 16 squares. Optional: serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
