PERSONAL TRAINER/CLASS INSTRUCTOR
Virginia was born and raised in Colorado and enjoys all things outdoors. At Colorado State University, she received a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on teaching. Virginia taught Health, PE, and weight training until she had her children. While raising her kids, she worked at a summer/after school program for 18 years. With her passion for all things health, Virginia got back to her roots and began to focus on teaching fitness and wellness. She pursued multiple certifications and has worked at a variety of locations covering a wide range of group fitness classes along with personal training. Now that Virginia is a permanent Florida resident, she is excited to continue working in the health and fitness realm at Esplanade Lake Club.

Furry Friends Meet Jake

My pet’s name is Jake and his birthday is in January. I adopted him from a shelter and their records say that he will be 16. However, my vet in Boston and here in Ft. Myers were able to access his records, which have conflicting information making it possible that he will be 15 in January. Either way, he is a miracle for his size and for a cancer survivor with new current issues. His DNA sample confirms the breeds as Treeing Walker Coonhound (about 60%) and Great Pyrenees.
Like many of you have seen, his favorite pastimes are walking, walking and more walking. Our previous home had acres of marshland, woods and salt water, and he would disappear for hours and return with the biggest smile ever. His favorite treat is anything he had to earn by doing tricks.
Most folks know that hounds are expressive, but this guy has more variety of bays (barks and howls) than any dog I’ve met. He has a different sound for UPS, the postman, and FedEx, and he had a unique sound for each of my friends and family as they would come up the driveway at our previous home.
Jake has a heart of love and enjoys his doggie friends in the neighborhood.

Get ready to move, connect, and compete in our March Match Up Community Wellness Challenge powered by the Technogym app and proudly sponsored by Esplanade Resort Experiences.
From March 8 through March 22, Esplanade communities will go head-to-head in a friendly Esplanade versus Esplanade challenge designed to inspire movement, motivation, and community pride. Every move counts as Members track their activity through the Technogym app, contributing to their community’s total score.
