Fall is in the air! What an exciting summer it has been as we welcomed many new homeowners into our growing community. It has truly been a joy to watch new neighbors meet for the first time and begin creating burgeoning friendships. As our community continues to grow, so will the opportunities to connect and celebrate together. The fun is just getting started. As we transition from summer into fall, our calendar is packed with opportunities to connect, celebrate, and have fun. September brings a playful theme we’re calling Silly September, featuring social gatherings, shared smiles, sushi making, savory culinary experiences, and a few surprises. With events like Lip Sync Legends and The Moving Masterpiece, we’re inviting everyone to set aside their seriousness and let our silly sides shine. As September gives way to October, we’ll embrace all the fun and festive energy of the Halloween season. Expect spooktacular social events, creative gatherings, and opportunities to enjoy a little seasonal mischief with friends and neighbors. The highlight of the season will be Esplanade’s signature Pickled Pink event, bringing the community together in support, celebration, and connection. This year marks the debut of Pickled Pink at Coasterra, launching what we hope will become one of our community’s most meaningful traditions for years to come. As part of a nationwide Esplanade tradition,
Pickled Pink has inspired incredible participation and generosity across communities, and we’re excited to begin writing Coasterra’s chapter of that story. Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or have already begun making memories with us, I’m delighted you’re here. Catherine Gangloff COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGER
L
et’s be honest, Community Association Managers sometimes have to deliver news that isn’t everyone’s favorite thing to hear. However, if there’s one thing you’ll quickly learn about
Catherine Gangloff, Esplanade at Coasterra’s new full-time, on-site Community Association Manager, it’s that she’s much more than the messenger. With more than 20 years of community management experience, Catherine brings an impressive professional background that includes insurance, legal services, business ownership, and managing large-scale communities throughout the Tampa Bay area. Licensed since 2003 and nationally accredited as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), she even managed a community that was recognized as “Association of the Year” by the Community Associations Institute. Beyond the credentials is someone who values family, adventure, and a good laugh. A Cleveland, Ohio native, Catherine is the oldest daughter and middle child in a family of SEVEN siblings. Growing up in a big family was just the beginning. Today, her mother’s family tree has expanded to include 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, making family gatherings a lively affair. Those family connections remain a big part of who Catherine is today. Nothing makes her smile more than spending time with her children, and she’s eagerly awaiting her next title: Grandma. Travel is another passion, especially when it involves family and a little adventure. One of Catherine’s favorite trips was a whirlwind journey through England and Scotland with her daughter and future son-in-law, exploring the Scottish Highlands and the breathtaking Isle of Skye.
Catherine even logged several jumps as a test dummy for the tandem skydiving harness that is widely used today, adding a unique claim to an already adventurous resume.
Another favorite memory took her to Tulum, Mexico, for her son’s wedding. They visited several underground cenotes and relaxed in the ultimate treehouse, locally inspired cocktails in hand watching a

Furry Friends Meet Khloe
LOVED BY SCOTT BECKWITH & KIMLEE STEWART Khloe is a 10-year-old Beagle mix. The last of her litter, she’s always marched to the beat of her own drum and has a personality all her own. In her younger years, Khloe was a legendary escape artist, running away nine different times, including one unforgettable adventure that took her behind railroad tracks and across highways for several hours. Scott learned early on that chasing her only made it more fun... well, for her. To Khloe, the whole thing was one big game. These days, she’s traded her wild side for couch cuddles. She loves burrowing into her favorite humans and staying so close that a leash is hardly necessary anymore. A true gourmand and self-proclaimed treat critic, Khloe has two rows of treats in the pantry but refuses to settle. She’ll inspect every option with a series of “nope, nope, nope” looks before finally choosing the snack that suits her mood. She’s a definite treat snob. While she’s happiest as the only fur child and prefers people to other dogs, she’s especially fond of the boys in the family and has a funny way of showing her affection. Quirky, stubborn, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining, Khloe has spent the last 10 years keeping her family laughing and wrapped firmly around her paw.

Kristi & Roy Brubaker The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. W
hen Kristi and Roy Brubaker talk about travel, adventure, and trying something new, they’re not speaking from imagination—they’re drawing from a lifetime of
extraordinary experiences that have taken them around the world and far beyond most people’s comfort zones. These days, one of their favorite pursuits is leading customized two-week bike tours, not only in the United States but also abroad. Rather than simply planning routes, the Brubaker’s curate the entire experience, arranging hotels, sightseeing excursions, local attractions, and memorable dining along the way. Their trips have taken participants through some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, including the breathtaking Dolomites of Italy. This year’s trip will take them to Austria. Riders typically cover 40 to 50 miles a day and nearly 400 miles over the course of a tour. Each evening, they reconnect to share stories from the day’s discoveries, often at a happy hour organized by Kristi. If you get the chance, ask her about her famous Brubaker meatballs. Kristi’s longest ride is 112 miles in a single day, while Roy has completed an incredible 200-mile ride. A spirit of exploration has been a constant theme throughout their lives. Roy’s career was anything but ordinary. Before joining the Coast Guard, he worked as a commercial fisherman and on charter boats. He later rose to become a Coast Guard captain, spending more than two decades at sea. One of the most memorable moments of his career was helping intercept a drug-smuggling submarine carrying

family, including granddaughter Harmony and their newest addition, 3-month-old Wesley. When they’re not traveling, the Brubaker’s stay busy with a wide range of hobbies. Roy enjoys fishing, road cycling, mountain biking, and building model boats. In fact, access to nearby mountain biking trails was one of his non-negotiables when choosing a place to retire. Kristi enjoys photography, hiking, cooking, and what she jokingly describes as “attempting—but failing—at crochet.” Together, they love the outdoors and frequently take their RV on extended trips. When it came time to choose their next home, Coasterra felt like a natural fit. They fell in love with its beautiful design, resort-style atmosphere, and the opportunity to be part of the community’s foundation as it continues to grow and evolve. What a fascinating life the Brubakers have lived so far. Through hard work, resilience, and a remarkable ability to adapt, they’ve created a lifetime of unforgettable memories on land and sea. Yet it feels as though they’re just getting started. Coasterra is fortunate to have Kristi and Roy as part of the community. Kristi is an effervescent and welcoming presence, always ready to organize a gathering. Together, she and Roy are known for lending a helping hand and contributing to the strong sense of community that makes Coasterra such a special place.

Recent Events Global Wellness
The Great
Our Global Wellness Day celebration on a warm June 13 brought Members together for a rejuvenating morning filled with mindful wellness activities, each workshop offered in a different home in our Esplanade at Coasterra Model Row. In the Sales Gallery, participants learned how to build their own Acai bowls and about the health benefits of the seed forward ingredients. They moved to the lanai for energizing Yoga Flow. In the Marino, they practiced Somatic movements while immersing their feet in the pool. In the Pallazio, they relaxed and reclined in poolside loungers for an ultimate sound bath and breathwork wellness finale. The session was complimented by pampering goodies courtesy of our Spa Partner, Hydropeptide.
On a hot June morning, Members traveled to Fiorelli Winery for a day filled with fun, friendly competition, and great wine. The day began with a continental breakfast and sangria before teams headed into the vineyard to compete in a grape-picking challenge. Our team earned an impressive second-place finish, just behind last year’s champions. Members then enjoyed the unique experience of stomping grapes, with plenty of laughter and dancing reminiscent of the classic I Love Lucy grape-stomping scene. The adventure concluded with a tasting of Fiorelli’s wines and a hearty meal shared among friends. From the vineyard to the tasting room, the day was filled with unforgettable memories and wonderful camaraderie.

Guests enjoyed a colorful spread of charcuterie cups, melon ball & prosciutto skewers, and sports-themed goodies, paired with a Bloody Mary “Pickle Bar” and Mimosa Bar, featuring frozen juice balls. Pickle Ball Pong, led by Zach Combs, Head Teaching Pro at Artisan Lakes, brought the energy, while raffle prizes kept the excitement going throughout the event. A guided tour with Jessie Griffith and a Q&A session with Drew Miller, VP of Operations provided project updates before the a ceremonial slab signing, giving attendees the opportunity to leave their mark on the foundation of Coasterra’s first amenity building.

On September 4 see the endlessly quotable romantic adventure The Princess Bride, followed by the iconic romantic comedy Pretty Woman on October 2. Whether you’re revisiting an old favorite or experiencing it on the big screen for the first time, Classic Movie Night is a fun way to kick off your weekend. Tickets are $12 per person. Cooking Classes
C
ooking classes continue to be among the most highly attended events in our community, and our Members never miss an opportunity to sharpen their culinary skills. To keep their appetite for cooking experiences satisfied, we’ve scheduled a cooking class every month this year, excluding January. Coasterra has fully embraced the addition of two new Esplanade Culinary Resort Experience Chefs. Sarah Santa and Marco Marini have brought their expertise and passion to our community through engaging and memorable culinary experiences. In June, Marco introduced Members to Pastabilities, where two volunteer participants got their hands dirty learning the art of pasta making. They mixed and rolled fresh dough from scratch, which Marco then skillfully transformed into fettuccine noodles. The evening concluded with a delicious tasting of both penne and homemade fettuccine topped with sauces prepared live during the demonstration.
In July, Sarah showcased the versatility of the mighty pineapple while sharing its many nutritional benefits. Members sipped on smoky Mezcal Tepache, laughed, dined, and learned together during The Pineapple Project. Check out the Upcoming Events section on page 12 for additional Culinary events happening in September and October.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to select and prepare fresh ingredients and accompaniments, make sushi rice the easy way, and master essential rolling techniques. We will begin the evening with appetizers and a complimentary glass of sake while you enjoy step-by-step instruction from our chef. Then, roll up your sleeves and create a variety of sushi favorites, including Tempura Shrimp Rolls, California Rolls, and Ahi Tuna Rolls. All ingredients and equipment will be provided.
