Each month, we gather with our fur friends for Yappy Hour, where tails wag, names are learned, and TREATS are given out like its grandma’s house. Midweek, Wellness Wednesday at 6 p.m. anchors our calendars with classes that help us reset and recharge—think energizing movement, breath, and practical ways to care for ourselves, made even sweeter by our Wellness Perks Passport
Looking ahead, May brings the kind of evenings that remind us why we chose this place. We’ll gather along the Manatee River for dinner and conversation at a local waterfront favorite, Woody’s River Roo, then shift into a high-energy performance by No Filter, a band performance that blends all your favorite danceable songs.
Back in our own kitchens, the ERE Culinary Team will host a Salad Dressing Lab, where we trade store bought bottles for bright, elevated flavor. You’ll watch three dressings come together, then see them paired with greens, grains, and roasted vegetables— simple techniques you’ll use all summer long.
June widens the lens as we celebrate Global Wellness Day, Esplanade style. Grounded in Esplanade’s Wellness Ecosystem, the day will weave together moments of mindfulness, movement, pampering, learning and nourishment while we explore what wellness can look like in everyday life. We’ll also venture out to Fiorelli Winery for a sun kissed outing that moves from grape picking to a playful stomp, the kind of shared experience that becomes part of our collective memory.

Meet Peter Sanvidge, the newest member of our sales team at Esplanade at Coasterra. Following in his father’s footsteps, Peter entered the world of new home sales, and today both he and his brother proudly work in the industry.
“My family has been rooted in new home sales for years, and it’s been a huge inspiration in shaping my own career. Their support and shared passion for this industry are a big part of why I love what I do.”
Growing up around it, Peter saw firsthand the impact that thoughtful guidance and attentiveness to individual needs can have during one of life’s biggest decisions, and that influence continues to shape how he shows up every day. “I love getting to build genuine relationships with future homeowners and being part of a team that blends lifestyle & wellness with sales so seamlessly.”
From the moment you meet Peter, it’s clear that connecting with people is the part of his work he values most. What may be surprising to know; however, is that on top of selling new homes for over three years, he also serves as one of the Tampa division’s sales coaches, helping train and develop the next generation of sales professionals to ensure top tier customer experiences are a given from all Taylor Morrison / Esplanade employees.
As a Florida native, he grew up on the Gulf Coast beaches of our beautiful Sunshine State. “From our gorgeous sunsets to our magical waterway’s the gulf coast of Florida is my happy place, and I can whole heartedly say that I live where people vacation.”
His favorite tune is Tuesday’s Gone by Lynard Skynrd. “It hits that perfect mix of nostalgia and good vibes, especially because Happy Gilmore was my favorite movie growing up. Every time I hear it, it takes me right back.” Picture that song drifting from a boat stereo on a sunny Florida afternoon, gliding across shimmering water, wind in his hair, a hint of zinc on his nose, and you’ve captured Peter perfectly.
When it comes to travel, one trip stands out above the rest. Peter’s most unforgettable adventure took place in Costa Rica during his older brother’s bachelor trip. What started as a mission to catch one Yellowfin Tuna turned into a once-in-a-lifetime experience. “We ended up reeling in THREE, over 100 pounds, plus two Pacific Sailfish. It was an unforgettable experience and an epic win for all of us.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Peter to the Esplanade at Coasterra team and look forward to the relationships and experiences he’ll help shape within our community.

Meet Guido & Jaxx
LOVED BY AARON GUSTAFSON & ANTHONY WESTOVER
Guido Luigi Contini III and Jaxx (affectionately known as Mookie) are the beloved companions of Aaron Gustafson and Anthony Westover, and proof that age only adds character.
Guido, an 18-year-old Miniature Dachshund, may be a seasoned nap enthusiast today, but his early years were anything but quiet. Once a boundless ball of energy, Guido bounced through multiple homes before finding his forever place with Aaron, where his determination and big personality quickly made him unforgettable.
From chasing tennis balls alongside a Great Dane to completing a full 5K on his own four short legs as well as running fetch up and down three flights of stairs in a loft condo, Guido gave everything his all. These days, he prefers a slower pace, wrapped snugly in blankets, fully embracing his well-earned status as a lounge lizard.
Jaxx, a 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with soulful brown eyes, entered the picture later and immediately claimed Anthony’s heart. Calm, observant, and quietly persuasive, Jaxx earned his nickname “Mookie” somewhere along the way, and it stuck. While Guido once tested boundaries with flair, Jaxx plays the long game, mastering the art of the head tilt and well-timed gaze.
Together, the two are inseparable. They’ve already made appearances at community events like Halloween Yappy Hour, where barkucterie treats were plentiful, and new friends, including Jessie, the Lifestyle Manage, were enthusiastically greeted.

As they look ahead to life at Coasterra, Guido and Jaxx are excited for golf cart rides, future Yappy Hours, bark park adventures, pet parades, and sampling homemade treats, while their humans quietly look forward to the mobile grooming truck—just don’t tell the boys.

Pet Donation Drive
In honor of National Puppy Day, March 23, we celebrated by hosting a donation drive for Dog’s Inc. Items that Members brought in went to this local Palmetto company who transform lives providing training to service, companion, and therapy dogs, completely free of charge to their recipients. It will help those with vision loss, veterans, and children nationwide. Thank you so much to all the Members who contributed so generously!

Leslie Peer & Chris Plummer
The Members of our community are truly what make this a wonderful place to live. In each edition, we will spotlight a Member, couple or family to showcase the amazing people that call our community home. If you’ve had the chance to meet Leslie Peer and Chris Plummer, two things are imminently clear: they’re genuinely approachable and impressively knowledgeable. With a mix of humor, warmth, silliness, and local expertise in building and selling homes, they have a natural way of making connections feel easy and authentic.
Leslie’s life has been shaped by movement and service. Born in Germany while her father was stationed there with the U.S. Army, she grew up moving throughout the world and the United States before settling in Canada for high school. She later followed her father into the Army, serving six years before returning to Canada to raise her family. Today, her daughter is a dedicated nurse living locally in Ruskin, and her son, Ryan, resides in New Jersey.
Chris’s story begins in Ottawa and spans much of Ontario, from Toronto to the Muskokas, Canada’s favorite cottage country, and later North Bay. He’s a proud father of three accomplished sons, each forging their own path. Rounding out the family are two dogs, Gracie and Daisy—though Princess Gracie May Thunderpaws, Mistress of Mayhem, clearly runs the house. Leslie and Chris have called Florida home for the past four years.
They first crossed paths in Ontario in a storyline worthy of The Office. Chris applied for a job at an office supply company where Leslie sat on the hiring panel… and voted no. Despite that, Chris stuck around, and after some workplace reshuffling (and Leslie quite literally saving
his job), they became coworkers, then friends, and eventually more. As Chris jokes, “She was giving me the eyes from day one,” earning Leslie’s well-timed sigh.
Eventually, Leslie made her expectations clear: “I’m too old to be a girlfriend.” Chris didn’t hesitate. “She’s a keeper.”
Friends describe them as funny, loyal, dependable, and generousqualities that often show up in the kitchen. Leslie is famous for her “hella good” nacho dip, while Grill Master Chris specializes in “dude food,” making the potluck regulars assigned the fan favorites.
They love traveling together, especially four-day getaways to unique inns across the U.S., and their destination wedding in the Dominican Republic remains their favorite adventure, filled with laughter, matching T-shirts, and a heartfelt serenade of You Are My Sunshine from Chris to Leslie.
Drawn to Esplanade at Coasterra for its quality homes, location, staff, and lively, adult-focused amenities, they’re excited about building friendships and watching their home come together. As Chris puts it best, “Coasterra is the full meal deal.” If you spot Leslie driving through the neighborhood? Chris has one last tip: “Leslie is a very fast driver! She’s not slowing down for anyone.” Leslie insists he exaggerates. Either way, you’ll always find a warm welcome at their door. “Our door is always open,” they say. “Don’t be a stranger.”

Sip o’ the Irish at LOADED CANNON DISTILLERY
Members kicked off St. Patrick’s weekend with a guided tour where they learned about the distillery process, sampled magically delicious tasting flights, and grabbed bites from a local food truck. Decked out in silly St. Paddy’s paraphernalia to get them in the spirit, the group understood the assignment and donned their favorite shades of green for this day of luck and libations.
Pasta Making CLASS
What began as a cooking lesson quickly turned into a lively gathering filled with laughter, teasing, flying flour, and hands on fun as Members learned to make fresh pasta from scratch, fueled by homemade pizza, salad, wine, and a classic vintage Italian soundtrack. Everyone left with handmade pasta, full bellies, new skills, and a clear sense that this is growing into a warm and connected community.
Love Your Gut SOURDOUGH WORKSHOP
This was a heart forward, hands-on Member event in February taught by Sarah Beardmore of She’s So Sourdough. Members learned the art of sourdough bread making and gut health benefits of fermentation while enjoying fresh sourdough samples, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages. Each participant left with a loaf ready to bake, a 104-year-old sourdough starter, and ongoing guidance and troubleshooting support to help them succeed in their sourdough journey long after the workshop ended.

We celebrated the month of love with our Valentine’s Vines Experience at Fiorelli Winery. It was a perfect day for tasting, learning, exploring, gathering, and listening to live music! Our new Members love wine tasting!
Refresh Your Spirit A PAINT & SIP EXPERIENCE
Hosted by local Sarasota artist, Rose Gwynn. Rose guided participants step by step on how to paint a watercolor Monsterra leaf. The artist provided hands-on, personalized watercolor tips and techniques, helping each attendee feel genuinely surprised and proud of their finished piece. Lite coastal bites and bubbly rounded out the afternoon, making for an inspiring beginning for the new year.

Join us for another unforgettable experience, an exclusive grape picking adventure and take part in the very first step of the winemaking process alongside Fiorelli wine experts, picking grapes straight off the vines. The day includes a continental breakfast, guided vineyard grape picking, a behind the scenes look at grape crushing, an Italian inspired lunch, a signature wine tasting, and the chance to participate in a traditional grape stomp. To commemorate the day, each guest will receive a special event t-shirt. After the experience, feel free to stay and enjoy live music on the front patio until 5 p.m.

As a certified nutrition consultant, culinary educator, and Level 1 Olive Oil Sommelier, Sarah blends science, storytelling, and hands on technique to show how flavor can be a powerful pathway to wellness. Through her work, she has crafted experiences that celebrate nourishment, creativity, and the belief that healthy eating should always feel exciting and accessible.

Raised in Porto Santo Stefano on the Tuscan coast and trained in restaurant and hotel management, Marco blends old world tradition with modern technique, global curiosity, and the warm hospitality he’s known for.
As a Certified Executive Chef and Certified Culinary Administrator, Marco has spent his career shaping unforgettable dining programs, including the opening of the first Bahama Bar and Culinary Center at Esplanade Lakewood Ranch.
