At Terrain, my goal is simple: always exceed expectations. I take great pride in this work — not because of dollars and cents, but because of the people behind every property we serve. For me, success means taking the extra time, putting in the extra effort, and knowing at the end of the day that we did right by you.
What sets us apart is our commitment to doing things carefully and correctly. I will personally train each driver for each route, spending time with them on dry-runs before the snow even falls. We walk the property together, study where snow should be moved, and go over every client’s specific instructions. That way, when the first storm hits, nothing is left to chance — we already know the plan.
We’ll always work to raise the bar, to be careful in what we do, and to over-deliver in how we do it. My promise to you is that we’ll treat your property with the same care we would our own.

Terrain was founded in 2021 as a sister company to Outpost , Jackson Hole’s leading vacation rental company. After years of caring for homes and guests, we built Terrain on the same principles: clear communication, reliable service, attention to detail, and doing right by people even when it’s harder.
Along the way, we’ve also built other companies that many in Jackson Hole know well — including Snake River Roasting Co. There we’ve learned a simple truth: one bad cup can cost you a customer, and you may never even hear about it. That’s why we approach every detail with consistency. The same standard guides Terrain — whether roasting beans or clearing snow, trust is earned in the details, day after day.

From Moldova to Jackson Hole, defined by hard work and care.
Born in Moldova in 1992, just after the country’s independence, Vergiliu “Lazar” grew up with resilience woven into his daily life. Raised primarily by his grandparents while his parents worked abroad, he learned early the value of sacrifice and grit. Boxing, passed down from his father, gave him discipline and drive.
That dedication carried him to the United States on an athletic visa. In Florida, Lazar traded gloves for opportunity — working construction, hospitality, and management jobs to support his family. Along the way, he picked up new languages, becoming fluent in English — spoken with the charm of a Southern accent — and Spanish, which has proven invaluable in his work today.
His work ethic and meticulous care caught Mekki’s attention, and when the opportunity arose in Jackson Hole, Lazar and his family made the move they had long hoped for. Here, he found a community that matched his ambitions and a place where he could lead with pride.
Lazar’s skill is masterful. With years of snow removal experience, he understands every nuance of this tough environment — how to move snow safely, where to pile it, and how to protect the integrity of every property. His care shows in everything he does, whether installing a retaining wall, running a plow truck through a storm, or creating a home with his family.
Today, Lazar brings that same mastery and pride to Terrain, setting the standard for our team and proving that trust is earned in the details, season after season.

Mekki Jaidi first came to Jackson Hole in 2012 with his wife, Jane, seeking open skies and a little breathing room. What convinced them to stay were the people — warm, welcoming, and quick to create a sense of belonging. By 2014, Jackson Hole had become home.
Raised in New York by immigrant parents from Morocco and the Philippines, Mekki grew up with examples of hard work, kindness, and pride in every task. After graduating from Columbia University and working in finance, he and Jane founded Outpost, a vacation rental management company built on hospitality and obsessive attention to detail.
That same philosophy carried into other ventures, including Snake River Roasting Co. and, later, Terrain. What began as a partnership became Mekki’s responsibility to lead, where he reset the culture around accountability, clear communication, and empathy.
Supported by Jane and their four children — Penelope, Lila, Teddy, and Violet — Mekki’s motivation has never been profit alone. It is about pride in the work, trust built in small gestures, and gratitude for a community. He now serves on the boards of the Jackson Hole Land Trust, Jackson Hole Youth Soccer and Basketball, and the Center for the Arts.
