Adven launched its operations in Sweden this year and is currently busy expanding market coverage in these three markets with the hopes of becoming the leading provider of tailored energy solutions in the Northern region of Europe.

This corresponds to the energy need of approximately 2,200 detached houses,” highlights Niiranen.
Expanding the Heating Network in Levi In September 2014, Adven announced the expansion of its district heating network in Levi to the new planned area of Ylä-Levi this autumn. The company mainly produces the district heating in the centre of Levi with renewable energy. As an operator in Levi since 2007, Adven has already constructed over four kilometres of district heating network in the area. The expansion of the distribution network now being built is approximately one kilometre in length and Adven recently increased its production capacity, allowing them to deliver energy efficient and renewable district heat for new customers. “The investments in the district heating production plant and the expansion of district heating network guarantee our customers safe, reliable and competitive district heat now and in the future in the YläLevi area, too,” says Adven’s Sales Manager Jussi Järvenpää. In autumn 2013, Adven introduced a second solid fuel boiler in parallel with the existing one at the Levi heating plant. Increasing the use of biofuels, mostly wood chips, improves the security of supply in the delivery of district heat. With the help of biofuels, it is also possible to keep the price of district heat competitive by reducing the use of oil in peak production during even the coldest winter days.

Caligo Industria
C
aligo Industria is a proud that Adven Oy selected our modern Caligo flue gas scrubber for their Nummela Biomass Plant in Southern Finland. The scrubber was delivered in September 2014 and the plant was operational in October 2014. Adven selected the Caligo flue gas scrubber due to its modern and efficient heat recovery system. Caligo Industria develops and markets product and system solutions for energy and process industry flue gas purification as well as process waste heat recovery and use.
Finnamyl’s Factory Contract September 2014 also saw the signing of a long term contract with Finnamyl Oy, a potato processing company, based on which Adven will provide an evaporation service at Finnamyl’s factory. Evaporation is an important part of Finnamyl’s progressive new production process, in which the potato cell sap produced as a by-product of starch production is refined into potato protein and concentrated fertiliser. The change in the process will reduce the factory’s environmental load with regard to both nutrient load and smell. Adven will build an evaporation plant next to Finnamyl’s factory and take responsibility for its operation. The plant will be connected to Adven’s remote monitoring system, which will ensure operations are undisturbed. “It is clear that Adven plays a significant role as an energy partner for Finnish industry, and the contract with Finnamyl strengthens this position even further. Evaporation services are a new product field for Adven; they

complement our offering of services that make industrial energy use more efficient. Our goal is to build several evaporation plants in the next few years and to convert existing evaporation plants into more energyefficient versions,” says Matti Viljo, CEO of Adven.
