While it was a difficult moment for our team, it also highlighted the resilience and depth within our group. At just 16 years of age, Chloe Terpos stepped up into A Grade and has been nothing short of outstanding. Her hard work, competitiveness and ability to adapt to a moving goal circle have been a huge asset to our team, and it has been fantastic to watch her grow throughout the season. Balancing VNL commitments alongside work has certainly made for a busy year, but our group has continued to show up for one another and put the work in. Finishing second on the ladder is a reflection of the consistency and commitment this team has shown throughout the season. It has also been an exciting year for Kate Campbell, playing her first season of A Grade after being elevated from B Grade. It has been fantastic to see her embrace the challenge and continue to develop throughout the season. To reach another A Grade grand final is something I’m incredibly proud of, but more importantly, I’m proud of the connections this group has built both on and off the court. We have shared plenty of challenges, laughs and memorable moments, which is something we will carry into the game. There is no better way to finish the season than with a quality game of netball against our rivals, and plenty of familiar faces and VNL teammates on the other side.
