Great insurance starts with a great agent

A MESSAGE TO YOU

HUNT VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER
I want to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to the 2025-26 Oshawa Generals OHL season. As always not only a welcome to the legions of returning fans, but for all of the new fans as well. Welcome to Gens Nation!!!
The large number of players that you will be seeing on the ice this season will be coming off back to back OHL championship finals appearances. A great accomplishment but we all know we fell short of our ultimate goal of winning the Robertson trophy and going to the Memorial Cup. The real success of this years team is to return to that level. Three years ago we finished in eighth place followed by a first place and fourth place regular season finishes respectively. The first-place finish and back-to-back finals appearances were the result of the building blocks being put in place seasons before and the team growing up together. Winning doesn’t happen by accident, and it must be done by doing things the right way.
The men in charge of that will be led by Mario Pouliot and his winning pedigree in junior hockey. Mario will push these players to places they may not have been before but trusting a coach that has won two Memorial Cups the reboot should move quickly. Mike Farrugia will be in his third season behind the bench, and they will be joined by newcomer Derrick Walser who most recently coached in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels. Derrick was part of the Peterborough Pete’s coaching staff that won the OHL championship and competed in the Memorial Cup in 2023.
The hockey landscape as we know it, is changing and the people to benefit the most will be you the fans and the players. Fans will get to see young players live that they may never have been able to see before. Players with NCAA commits that may have played in other leagues to preserve their eligibility are free to explore the OHL now before going to school. Players will have the opportunity to extend their playing careers and get the best of both worlds. I suspect by the end of this upcoming season we may have half of our players with NCAA commits. However, make no mistake the OHL/CHL will remain the industry leader in producing NHL draft picks. Look no further then our own Simon Wang and Owen Griffin who had their names called for the San Jose Sharks and the Columbus Blue Jackets respectively this past June in LA.
Now you must play your part and fill this building every night. Give these guys true home ice advantage and push them to be there best night in and night out. Go Gens Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRESIDENT & GOVERNOR
As we prepare to embark on our 88th year, we’re energized by what the future holds. While much has changed over the years, our expectations remain the same: to ice a competitive team with our sights set on returning to the finals. This year’s roster will feature an exciting blend of new talent and veteran leadership—a dynamic mix of size, skill, and relentless compete.
We can’t wait to welcome our loyal fans back to the rink and feel your support in the stands.
Starting in the new year, fans will begin to see major renovations take shape at the arena—a place the Generals have proudly called home for decades, and will continue to for years to come. These enhancements will honor our deep-rooted history while ushering in a new era of excellence, elevating the game-day experience for players and fans alike. From improved facilities to refreshed fan spaces, the upgrades will reflect the pride and spirit of the Oshawa community. This investment not only reinforces our commitment to the organization but celebrates the city we represent—with full completion slated for late 2027.

AROUND THE OHL
AS OF FEBRUARY 12TH

EAST DIVISION
PETERBOROUGH PETES
The Petes maintain their lead for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a six-point gap over Niagara and North Bay entering this weekend.
Peterborough has taken of seven of twelve since the trade deadline on the heels of their offense, still led by Adam Novotný with eight points in his last ten and Kieron Walton bolstering the forward core with 15 points in his first 12 games as a Pete.
While there is still plenty of scoring depth to go around both up front and on the back end, Easton Rye continues to be a key factor in goal and currently shares the league-lead in wins with 28.
The Petes continue to be a fun and exciting team full of offensive creativity and are in a good spot to make it back to the playoffs. They have 17 games remaining in their season entering this weekend, but will have some key matchups coming up.
CENTRAL DIVISION
NORTHBAY BATTALION
Things are tightening up between the fifth and seventh seeds in the East and North Bay is right in the middle of it, sitting in sixth place by three points over Kingston.
The Battalion have slid a bit with three wins in ten games, but their steady scoring depth is what got them into this race. Kaden Pitre has been impressive as of late with eight points in his last five and 12 in ten.
Jack Lisson continues to lead the play in goal with a .911 SV% in his last five. He also remains top-five in Goals Against Average with 2.45.
North Bay is down to their final 17 games in their push for the playoffs – six of them coming against Niagara, Kingston and Peterborough, the teams they are competing with for positioning.

MIDWEST DIVISION
LONDON KNIGHTS
Despite selling at the deadline and gaining assets for the future, the Knights continue to stay steady in the playoff race with a comfortable lead for the fifth seed in the West.
On the heels of eleven points in his last ten, Kings’ prospect Henry Brzustewicz has taken over team scoring. Ryan Brown has also thrived with London since arriving from Sarnia via trade with 25 points in 18 games with the club – 19 of them in his last ten.
The Knights have quietly assembled a terrific two-way team throughout the season that sees everyone chip in offensively and defensively. Solid goaltending between Sebastian Gatto has also helped with the process as he is top-five in both SV% and GAA.
London has 15 games remaining entering this weekend. Not only do they have control of fifth place with a 17-point gap over Guelph, but they are also three points back of the SOO for the fourth seed.
SAULT STE. MARIE GREYHOUNDS
Things are heating up in the tough West Division, but the SOO continue to hold their ground as the OHL’s third-highest scoring team with many key contributors all season.
Marco Mignosa leads the charge – currently at 65 points – with Christopher Brown, Quinn McKenzie and Jordan Charron rounding up the top-six. Chase Reid also continues to stand out on the blue line with 47 points in 42 games.
The Greyhounds’ offensive production has been without Brady Martin for the last month, but he has since returned to the lineup following a shoulder injury back at the World Juniors to give the forward core a bigger boost.
While the Greyhounds are just seven points back of the top seed in the Western Conference, three points separate them and London for the fifth seed with 16 games to go.

GAME DAY PREVIEW
The Oshawa Generals and Peterborough Petes prepare to write another chapter in their historic rivalry when the two hit the ice tonight from the TCC.
Peterborough has the upper hand in this year’s season series with four wins in five games, but Oshawa has taken 14 of their last 20 home games against the Petes, including a wild 6-4 decision earlier in the campaign.
Of the first five contests between these two on the year, three of them have been high-scoring ones while the last two were tightly contested. Peterborough did take each of those last two games after being able to shut Oshawa down.
The Generals were shutout the last time the Petes visited in late-December and dropped another tight 3-1 decision from Peterborough Memorial Centre in early-January.
After a tough result in the nation’s capital Wednesday night to push their winless streak to three, Oshawa hopes to turn things around on their home ice in front of Gens Nation.
On the other end, Peterborough comes in riding a four-game win streak and they currently control the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference by a six-point margin. The Petes have aspirations of making it back to the playoffs with an exciting offensive group.
Peterborough is on the second of a back-to-back after hosting the Ottawa 67’s last night and coming away with a massive 7-3 victory. Kieron Walton and Aiden Young each netted two goals and Easton Rye collected his leagueleading 29th win of the season.
As the Gens hope to bump the slump, keep an eye out for their first-round import selection last year, Onni Kalto. The Finnish product comes in with three points in five games and recorded his first career two-goal game the last time the Generals were home.
For the Petes, look out for their own import selection out of Czechia in 2024, Adam Novotný. Since joining Peterborough this season, Novotný has showcased his goal-scoring abilities with 25 on the year. He is eligible for the NHL Entry Draft this coming June.

LAST GAME RECAP
FEBRUARY 11TH, 2026
The Oshawa Generals suffered a 6-0 loss to the Ottawa 67’s in the nation’s capital Wednesday night. It was the second time in six meetings this season in which the Generals were shutout by Ottawa.
Brooks Rogowski and Vadim Smirnov were both out of action tonight, leading to Tyler Hinde and Rowen Sang sliding back into the lineup. Leo Laschon also returned to the Gens’ blue line.
The Generals got off to another fast start in Ottawa – putting up the game’s first four shots – but the 67’s would strike first on a short-handed marker from Frankie Marrelli, who ripped it glove side from the slot on a three-on-two rush.
Most of the first would see Oshawa get some of the better scoring chances, but the 67’s would add to their lead late in the period after Kohyn Eshkawkogan made a nice move to cut to the inside, backhanded it on net and got the carom off Lucas Moore and in.
Down two entering the second, the Generals continued to chip away with 12 shots in the first eleven minutes, but their hill to climb only got steeper after Ottawa added another with Brayden Krawczyk finishing Teddy Spitznagel’s centring feed behind the net.
After spending an extended shift in the Oshawa end, Thomas Vandenberg would give his team a four-goal cushion – one-timing Reid Hayes’ feed short-side on Matthew Humphries from the far circle later in the second.
Oshawa would not go away in the final 20 minutes, but their deficit would be too big to overcome. The 67’s caught up with them in the shot totals in the third and added two more from Spencer Bowes and Jasper Kuhta to put an exclamation point on this one.
Despite being without the likes of Cooper Foster and Nic Whitehead tonight, Ottawa still put together a solid effort on both sides of the puck to move into first place in the Eastern Conference.
Second chances were hard to come by for the Generals on this night thanks to Ottawa’s solid defending and the play of Jaeden Nelson, who not only picked up his fourth victory over Oshawa on the year, but also earned his first OHL shutout with a 34-save performance.
