As food and operating costs continue to rise, restaurants and convenience stores are looking for practical ways to improve margins without compromising food quality. The question is no longer whether to filter oil. It’s how to get the most value from every gallon. The answer starts with keeping oil cleaner. While

Accelerating Food and Beverage Food continues to be a key growth driver for Casey’s. Building on its position as one of the nation’s leading pizza chains, Casey’s will continue investing in its made-to-order offerings, including pizza and chicken wings, with plans to expand its private-brand portfolio.
“Prepared foods and nonalcoholic beverages are driving strong inside sales, and we’re continuing to build on the loyalty we’ve earned through our more than 40 years in the pizza business with new offerings like wings and fries. In Des Moines, where wings have been available for more than a year, sales are up 20% year over year, reinforcing the significant opportunity we see as we expand the platform across our nearly 3,000 stores and further establish Casey’s as a food destination.”
“Our food business is at the center of Casey’s three-year growth strategy and continues to be one of our strongest differentiators,” said Tom Brennan, Chief Merchandising Officer at Casey’s.
Expanding Casey’s Country and Scale Casey’s plans to add at least 400 stores through a combination of strategic acquisitions and new-store development. By expanding its presence in both existing and new markets, Casey’s will bring its distinctive food-first convenience offering to more guests, while leveraging its proven expertise in acquiring and successfully integrating stores. “Our growth strategy is expanding Casey’s Country in a disciplined way,” said Ena Williams, Chief Operations Officer at Casey’s. “We’ve shown that we can grow through both new stores and acquisitions. That includes the suc-
Casey’s Announces New Three-Year Strategic Plan Casey’s General Stores, Inc., a leading convenience store chain in the United States, unveiled its new three-year strategic plan. Since introducing its last strategic plan in 2023, the company has exceeded its strategic and financial targets, adding more than 500 stores and joining the S&P 500. “Our success over the last three years reinforces what makes Casey’s unique: a differentiated model that brings restaurant-quality together food, best-in-class convenience and fuel at scale,” said Darren Rebelez, President and Chief Executive Officer at Casey’s. “As we enter our next three-year plan, we are focused on expanding our food business, growing our store base and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and execution. We believe these priorities will enable us to continue gaining market share, driving profitable growth and delivering longterm value for our shareholders.” Casey’s new three-year strategic plan is centered on three priorities:
Shell to More Than Double U.S. Company-Owned Convenience Retail Sites Equilon Enterprises LLC, doing business as Shell Oil Products US (Shell), has signed an agreement to increase its equity from 33% to 100% in Tri Star Energy, LLC, a convenience store operator and fuel distributor operating across the southeastern United States and anchored in the Nashville market. The acquisition makes Shell the full owner of an additional 320 fuel and convenience retail sites in Tennessee and surrounding states, as well as supply agreements with 552 more dealer-
owned locations. “Tri Star has built a strong business with high-quality assets, a dedicated team and a loyal customer base. The transaction is fully aligned with our growth strategy to focus capital on businesses in which we have distinctive advantages and can create longterm shareholder value,” said Machteld de Haan, President of Downstream, Renewables and Energy Solutions, Shell plc. Shell already has the largest brand-
ed fuel network in the United States, with approximately 12,000 primarily wholesaler- and dealer-owned fuel and convenience retail sites across 49 states serving more than seven million customers daily. This acquisition significantly strengthens its company-owned presence in the United States. The investment is in line with Shell’s strategy to reallocate capital from lower-return areas to businesses and markets where the company has proven it can deliver strong perform-
cessful integration of CEFCO, our largest acquisition to date, which strengthened our presence in Texas and expanded Casey’s reach across the South. That flexibility allows us to pursue the best opportunities as market conditions evolve.” Enhancing Operational Efficiency Casey’s is investing in technology and data-driven tools to improve how its team members prepare food, serve guests and run stores efficiently. These investments help improve forecasting, strengthen the guest experience, and support profitable growth as the company expands. “We’re intentional about how we invest in technology, focusing on solutions that improve the experience for our guests while enabling our teams to operate more efficiently,” said Williams. “Whether it’s using AI to help improve forecasting and inventory planning, redesigning kitchens to help team members prepare more food with less friction, or enhancing digital tools like our app and Casey’s Rewards, we’re investing in practical innovations that improve efficiency, strengthen guest experience and support long-term growth.” For more information, www.caseys.com.

Shell stated that 80% of its growth cash capex in the Mobility & Convenience business will be spent in 10 key markets, such as the United States, where it generates the majority of its cash flow. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory clearance and the satisfaction of closing conditions. For more information, www.shell.com.

Majors Management and ResultStack Launch Strategic Partnership to Bring AI to Convenience Retail and Fuel Distribution Majors Management and ResultStack unveiled a strategic partnership built around bringing artificial intelligence into the day-to-day operations of convenience retail and motor fuel distribution. The agreement pairs Majors Management’s depth as one of the most operationally disciplined and growth-minded companies in the industry with ResultStack’s reputation as a top-tier enterprise AI and software engineering firm trusted by some of the largest companies in the country. Together, the two organizations plan to deploy AI, machine learning and agentic systems against the real-world problems that define modern c-store and fuel operations: • Pricing • Inventory • Loyalty MAGNESOL (Cont’d. from p. 1)
many filtration systems remove visible food particles, dissolved impurities remain in the oil and continue to accelerate degradation. Left untreated, these compounds can shorten oil life, affect food quality and increase operating costs. Between clever flavors, clean ingredients, a fluffy melt-in-yourmouth texture and an unapologetic sense of humor (yes, the “Go Pork Yourself” stickers are real), Pork King Good keeps climbing the charts in both D2C and retail, outpacing the category LV Petroleum (Cont’d. from p. 1)

tecture and complex platform engineering. That breadth is what makes ResultStack one of the few firms equipped to take AI out of the lab and into the difficult, domain-specific problems that define real industries. The track record speaks plainly: loyalty platforms that have lifted samestore sales, mobile systems rebuilt and rolled out across hundreds of locations in a matter of weeks, and enterprise software that has carried companies through national expansion and IPO readiness. “Partnering with ResultStack gives us a real opportunity to tackle the inefficiencies that have lingered in our industry for far too long. Ben and his team bring both the technical horsepower and the outside perspective we need to move faster, and we expect their contribution to be central to where Majors Management goes from here,” said Howard Hyche, Chief Information Officer, Majors Management.
Majors Management: Scale, Discipline and A Push Toward What’s Next Few companies have shaped modern convenience retail and fuel distribution the way Majors Management has – a sector where competitive advantage is measured in cents per gallon and seconds at the register rather than weeks or quarters. The company’s operating reach spans multi-site retail, wholesale fuel supply, customer loyalty and store-level execution, and its leadership has repeatedly shown a willingness to lean into change well before the rest of the market catches up. Through its MAPCO brand and exten-
ResultStack: Building AI Systems That Run at Enterprise Scale ResultStack has built its reputation engineering the digital backbone of enterprise-scale businesses. Its teams have shipped mission-critical platforms that move billions of transactions, reach millions of users every day, and underpin operations at some of the most recognizable names in transportation, retail, convenience, and commerce. impurities, helping extend frying oil life by 50% or more, while maintaining cleaner oil and more consistent fried foods. It meets food-grade specifications established by the FDA, NSF and the World Health Organization’s JECFA. Leading operators choose MAGNESOL because it delivers measurable results. Restaurants using MAGNESOL daily can save up to $8,000 annually per three-fryer kitchen, even after product cost. Longer-lasting oil means fewer fresh oil purchases, less waste oil generated and consistent, high-quality
fried foods that keep customers coming back. They also choose MAGNESOL because it’s backed by expertise. The Dallas Group continues to invest in product innovation, technical services and advanced laboratory capabilities that evaluate key oil quality indicators, including free fatty acids, total polar materials, soap content and color. This commitment helps customers maximize oil performance while adapting to changing operational and sustainability goals. Every gallon of oil that stays in
service longer represents more than cost savings. It means fewer resources used to produce, transport, package and dispose of replacement oil, while reducing the frequency of fryer boilouts and hot oil handling. At a time when every operating dollar matters, choosing the right filtration partner can have a lasting impact on food quality, operational efficiency and sustainability. That’s why leading operators continue to choose MAGNESOL.
as one of the leaders in dollar and unit sales growth. But the innovation didn’t stop at the snack aisle. Pork King Good has taken a legacy snack across the entire store: from Salty Snacks, to Breading with its zero-carb Pork Rind Crumbs, and into the Freezer with Chicken Puggets, America’s first pork rind breaded chicken nugget. And Puggets aren’t just novel, they’re decorated, taking home an ECRM award and Food & Beverage Magazine’s Most Innovative Frozen Item. Here’s the part c-store buyers will want to lean in for. After building a massive D2C following and a strong
base in Grocery and Farm & Home, Pork King Good is officially charging into retail and convenience, now rolling out with chains like Extra Mile, Refuel, Mapco and many more. Its addictively delicious, protein-packed, low-carb snacks are landing on shelves across the country, and the momentum is only building. Stop by the Pork King Good booth to taste the full lineup of chicharrones, including best sellers like White Cheddar, Dill Pickle, Cinnamon ChurWHOA (now in a 1.75-ounce convenience size), and the brand-new Strawberry Shortcake flavor fans are losing their minds over.
Lauren Koston, Founder and President of Pork King Good, puts it simply: “We’ve just been making the snacks we want to eat ourselves and sharing them with the world. Building this business from absolutely nothing out of our basement to owning our own manufacturing and getting our products into thousands of doors has been the most terrifying and most rewarding experience of my life, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.”

fits-all solution, The Dallas Group works alongside customers to evaluate oil performance, train operators and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. By understanding each operation’s unique needs, the company helps customers extend oil life while maintaining consistent food quality. “If a customer experiences a problem, we quickly send one of our employees to their location to help troubleshoot the issue,” Dvorak explains. “Our customers are never treated as numbers, regardless of their size.” Listening to customers has also influenced how The Dallas Group approaches product innovation. Recognizing that not every operation has access to automated filtration systems, The Dallas Group recently developed manual filtration procedures that
allow operators to achieve many of the same oil quality benefits using existing equipment. The procedures support a wide range of fryer sizes, helping more foodservice operators improve oil quality and extend oil life without significant capital investment. That same customer-first mindset also drives innovation. The Dallas Group continues to invest in product development, technical services and advanced laboratory capabilities to better understand frying oil performance and help customers adapt to changing operational and sustainability goals. For Dvorak, building strong customer relationships requires more than technical knowledge. Years of working throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America have reinforced the importance of under-
standing different cultures, listening first and adapting to each customer’s environment. Those experiences have shaped both his leadership style and The Dallas Group’s global approach to customer support. “Hands-on service and strong relationships are closely connected because trust is built through consistent action, not just communication,” Dvorak says. For The Dallas Group, helping customers succeed has never been just about filtration. It’s about building lasting partnerships based on technical expertise, responsive support and a shared commitment to helping operators get more from every gallon of frying oil.
