Dexcom CONNECT Study: The Most Significant Clinical Study Demonstrating CGM Benefits for People with Type 2 Diabetes Not Using Insulin DexCom, Inc. announced results from the CONNECT randomized controlled trial, demonstrating the use of Dexcom G7 leads to clinically and statistically

significant reduction in A1C and improvement in glucose control among people with Type 2 diabetes not using insulin compared with a rou-

tine care control group using self-monitoring of blood glucose.1 Researchers presented these results today as an oral presentation at the 2026 Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association in New Orleans. “The CONNECT study released today is the first and only level A evidence demonstrating strong benefit of CGM for the Type 2 non-insulin using population,” said Roy Beck, MD, PhD, Medical Director of the JAEB Center for Health Research and senior author of the study. “Level A evidence, the highest level of evidence graded by the ADA, has historically driven meaningful changes in standards of care.” CONNECT demonstrated clinically significant benefit for all adult Type 2 non-insulin using patients regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, baseline A1C,

body mass index, education level, income and insurance coverage.1 The study also showed an additional clinically significant reduction in A1C when using Dexcom G7 with various combinations of current standards of care diabetes medication, including metformin, GLP-1s and SGLT2s.1 “We anticipate these results will help establish a new standard of care in the United States and around the world,” said Jake Leach, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dexcom. “This is the third Dexcom sponsored randomized controlled trial that has or will drive Dexcom CGM to be the standard of care in people with Type 2 diabetes.” All CONNECT study participants were provided diabetes education on diet and exercise at the start of the study, given a blood glucose meter, and pre-study glucose lowering medications were continued. Half of the study participants were put on Dexcom G7 and half of them used self-monitoring of blood glucose. The CONNECT study initially screened 440 participants across 22 primary care practices throughout the United States, of which 283 eligible participants were randomized to Dexcom G7 or routine care, with 265 completing the 26-week study and Continued on Page 33

Beyond the Travel Aisle: Why Nausea Relief Is Becoming an Everyday Need Nausea has often been treated as a travel purchase. It is something shoppers remember before a flight, a cruise or a long car journey. But that is only one part of the story. For many people, nausea shows up during far more ordinary moments: on the commute, after lunch, during the school run or halfway through a busy day at work. It not always is planned for, and it is not always linked to travel. That matters retailers. for Digestive wellness is becoming a bigger part of everyday self-care, and shoppers are more aware than ever of the issues that can affect how they feel day to day. The growing conversation around GLP-1 medications has added to that awareness, with nausea now part of many more conversations about digestive comfort and routine healthcare. So the question for retailers is simple: does nausea relief still belong only in the travel aisle? Travel health will always be important, especially around holiday periods. But there is also a strong case for thinking about nausea relief as part of everyday wellness. Shoppers may be looking for something they can keep in a handbag, work bag, car, pocket or desk drawer. Not just something they buy before going away. Format plays a big role here. When nausea comes on suddenly, people usually want something simple. They may not want to swallow a tablet, wait for a lozenge to dissolve or find water before taking something. A small, dis-

creet, non-drowsy option that can be used on the go makes sense for the way people live now. Ginger is already familiar to many shoppers. It is an ingredient they recognise and understand, which makes it easier to navigate at shelf and easier for retailers to position clearly. Sea-Band® is building on that familiarity with the upcoming launch of SeaBand Liqui-Burst™ Gingers, expected in 2027. The new liquid-centre format is designed to release liquid ginger from the very first bite. Each piece delivers 375mg of ginger root powder equivalent in a compact, non-drowsy chew that can be taken without water. For buyers, the opportunity is not just about adding another travel product. Liqui-Burst Gingers give retailers a way to connect travel health with everyday digestive wellness and family healthcare. They are designed for the shopper who wants something practical, portable and easy to keep close by, whether they are travelling or simply getting through the day. Sea-Band is previewing Liqui-Burst Gingers alongside its established drugfree nausea relief range at this year’s show. Retailers, distributors and category managers are invited to visit Emerson booth #138 to see the new format and discuss the 2027 launch. Two independent scientific studies have confirmed that the targeted application of concentrated heat to an insect bite significantly reduces itch intensity within minutes, outperforming untreated controls and requiring no medication, cream or chemical of any kind. The findings come from Beurer, the German health technology company that pioneered the modern heating pad more than a century ago and has now applied that precision thermal science to one of the most common dermatological complaints worldwide. The first study, a controlled clinical trial conducted by Institut Prof. Kurscheid and registered with the German Clinical Trials Register (DRKS00033004), enrolled 22 participants – 15 women and seven men with an average age of 28 – who were bitten under controlled laboratory conditions by two mosquito species. The results were clear: within just two minutes, people using the BiteX Insect Bite Healer (BR60) reported itch scores nearly half those of the untreated group (2.40 versus 4.30 on a 10-point scale). Over the full 60-minute observation period, treated bites produced an average itch exposure score of 97, compared with 161 for untreated bites – a difference that was statistically significant (p<0.01). In more than six in 10 observations, treated bites achieved at least a 50% reduction in itch at the very first measurement point. No adverse events were reported. The second study, published in Acta Dermato-Venereologica by researchers

from Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Fraunhofer Institute, tracked more than 12,000 treatments across 1,750 participants. Mosquito bite itch dropped 57% within the first minute and 81% within five to 10 minutes. Participants who applied heat showed 7.1 times greater itch reduction at one minute compared to an untreated control group. The heat worked equally well whether applied minutes or more than six hours after the bite. Both studies point to a neurological rather than pharmacological mechanism. Researchers note that concentrated heat activates TRPV1 nerve receptors, which override and suppress the itch signal before the brain processes it as discomfort, a process known as counter-stimulation. The effect works on both histamine-driven and non-histamine itch, covering the full range of reactions from mosquitoes, bees, wasps and horseflies. The safety profile across both studies was exceptional. The clinical trial recorded zero adverse events across 44 observations. The Charité-Fraunhofer study documented side effects in fewer than 0.13% of more than 48,000 data points, with none classified as serious. The absence of systemic effects makes thermotherapy particularly relevant for pregnant women, young children and patients managing multiple medications, populations for whom standard topical treatments are often limited or contraindicated. FDA Grants Priority Review to Genentech’s Gazyva for Adults With Primary Membranous Nephropathy Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted priority review to the company’s supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) for Gazyva® (obinutuzumab) for the treatment of primary membranous nephropathy (pMN). The priority review is based on the positive Phase III MAJESTY results, which show superiority of Gazyva over an immunosuppressive therapy, tacrolimus, in adults with pMN. The FDA has already granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation (BTD) to Gazyva in pMN and is expected to make a decision on approval by November 2026. This is the second indication in recent months for which the U.S. FDA has granted priority review to Gazyva following idiopathic nephrotic syndrome in May 2026. “This priority review represents an important step for patients living with primary membranous nephropathy, a chronic disease with no FDA-approved treatments,” said Levi Garraway, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Product Development. “By targeting tissue-resident B cells, Gazyva addresses an underlying cause of pMN and has the potential to help more patients achieve complete remission – a necessary step to maintaining kidney function.” The Phase III MAJESTY study met its primary endpoint with 36.9% of adults achieving complete remission (CR) at two years (104 weeks) with Gazyva versus 5.7% with tacrolimus (adjusted difference 31.1%; 95% confidence interval [CI] 18.2 to 44.0;

p<0.001). Complete remission is the ultimate goal in pMN and can help prevent progression to kidney failure. Key secondary endpoints showed that Gazyva was superior to tacrolimus in achieving overall remission (complete or partial remission) at week 104 and complete remission at week 76. Safety was in line with the well-characterized profile of Gazyva and no new safety signals were identified. The data were featured at the 63rd European Renal Association (ERA) Congress in June 2026 as a late-breaking oral presentation and published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). In April 2026, the FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation for Gazyva in pMN. Data from MAJESTY are also being submitted to other global health authorities, including the European Medicines Agency. pMN is a chronic autoimmune condition that causes potentially irreversible kidney damage and can lead to kidney failure, which has a significant impact on patients and their families, while carrying substantial burden to health systems. Achieving complete remission is important to help maintain kidney function and delay or prevent the onset of serious and potentially fatal complications. MAJESTY is the fourth positive Phase III study of Gazyva in immunemediated diseases, following REGENCY in lupus nephritis, ALLEGORY in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and INShore in idiopathic nephrotic syndrome – where it received priority

review and Breakthrough Therapy Designation by the FDA. Gazyva is approved in the United States and European Union for the treatment of adults with active lupus nephritis who are receiving standard therapy based on data from the REGENCY and NOBILITY studies, and is being investigated in the Phase II POSTERITY study for children and adolescents with lupus nephritis. This growing body of evidence supports Gazyva’s potential in addressing disease activity across a spectrum of immune-mediated diseases. About Gazyva Gazyva (obinutuzumab) is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed with a Type II anti-CD20 region, for direct B cell death and a glycoengineered Fc region, for higher binding affinity and increased antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). CD20 is a protein found on certain types of B cells. Gazyva is approved for adults with lupus nephritis in the United States and European Union. Gazyva is also approved in 100 countries for various types of hematological cancers. About the MAJESTY Study MAJESTY [NCT04629248] is a Phase III, randomized, open-label, multicenter study designed to evaluate the efficacy

25

and safety of Gazyva (obinutuzumab) in adults with primary membranous nephropathy. The study enrolled 142 adults who were randomized 1:1 to receive Gazyva or tacrolimus. The primary endpoint is the percentage of adults who achieve complete remission at two years (week 104). About Primary Membranous Nephropathy Primary membranous nephropathy is a chronic autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system attacks the filtering units of the kidney, the glomeruli, causing protein to leak into the urine and potentially a gradual decline in kidney function. Over time, the damage to the kidneys can become irreversible, increasing the risk of lifethreatening complications, such as kidney failure, idiopathic nephrotic syndrome, blood clots and cardiovascular disease. Achieving complete remission is important to help maintain kidney function and delay or prevent the onset of serious and potentially fatal complications. Primary membranous nephropathy has an estimated incidence of 1.2 per 100,000 people in the United States per year. For more information, www.gene.com.

Stellar Beauty Co. Launches to Redefine Skincare for Active Girls Stellar Beauty Co. officially launches with a mission to redefine what skincare looks like for the next generation. Created by 12-year old athlete and Founder Stella Dorazio, the brand introduces a collection of dermatologist-tested skincare products designed specifically for active girls and growing skin – bringing together gentle ingredients, mineral sun protection and healthy habits in one easy-to-follow routine. Inspired by Stella’s own experience balancing sports, school, camps and everyday adventures, Stellar was born from a simple realization: while the beauty industry has embraced the growing interest in tween skincare, there were few options created specifically for girls with active lifestyles. Rather than adapting products made for adults, Stellar was developed from

the ground up to support what the brand calls “Active Skin” – skin exposed to sweat, sun, chlorine, wind and the everyday demands of growing up. “Stellar started because I wanted skincare that felt like it was made for girls like me,” said Stellar Beauty Co.’s Founder, Stella. “I wanted products that were fun and easy to use, but also gentle enough for growing skin and designed for all the things I love to do. I hope Stellar helps other girls build confidence through simple, healthy habits and reminds them to always shine as themselves.” Stellar Beauty Co.’s debut collection features four daily essentials: • Passion Pop Smash Cleanser ($17) – A gentle, hydrating cleanser formulated to effectively
