Would you believe that this year will mark the 10th* anniversary of The Arch? I started The Arch back in October of 2011 when I was appointed District Deputy Coordinator by then State Deputy Dave Helmstetter. I always wanted The Arch to be informative and relevant to our councils here in the archdiocese of Cincinnati. Itās not as fancy as other diocesan newsletters but I hope it has been a useful reference fo you.
I am always looking for articles to add especially about upcoming or post program event successes. You will ļ¬nd one of them in this issue happening in Dayton. If you have something to share please email it to me at mfelerski@icloud.com
As you see repeated below the 2023 Super Cash Bonanza is coming up quickly. The programās
theme this year is I Need You. That theme will be evident in the upcoming Charity Brothers Return video which youāll see at the ticket distributions. That said, I would like to thank Saint Paul Council #13874 for hosting the northern distribution again, and a huge shoutout to Saint Michael Council #3382 in Sharonville for once again hosting the southern distribution which they have done for well over a decade!
Most importantly thank you brothers for all that you do in your communities, parish families and throughout Ohio for Charity, in Unity, and with Fraternity.
Michael J. Felerski State Treasurer
*The Arch was on hiatus in 2016-17

appy New Year to all my brothers and their families! I wish you peace, joy and good health this coming year! Itās that time of year when we make resolutions. Have you made any yet? Maybe the realistic question is, āHave you already broken some of them?ā Here are 10 popular New Yearās resolutions from the internet along with some of my own:
1. Get in shape; for some of us this means to lose some weight, exercise more and staying ļ¬t; to stop smoking or eat healthier foods.
2. Stop procrastinating; I donāt know about you, but Iām going to put this oļ¬ for yet another year!
3. Improve my prayer life; thereās an app for that! The Laudate app claims it is the most downloaded Catholic app. It has an immense library of prayers, devotions, daily readings, podcasts and Vatican documents.
4. Improve on a skill or develop a new hobby; maybe you want to lower your golf handicap or learn to bowl. Go for it!
5. Be more thankful; God has blessed me in so many ways and sometimes I forget to thank Him for all of those thingsā¦usually because Iām too busy asking for something else.
6. Spend more time with the people that matter most; sometimes I get so busy working, keeping the house up or going to some meeting, I forget the ones I do these things for. Iāve got to set aside more time to just be with them.
7. Reduce stress; in this sometimes hectic and seemingly crazy world, itās easy to get swallowed up in the latest tragedy and worry all the time. Cutting out those sources of stress or learning how to deal with them more eļ¬ectively means a more settled life.
8. Read more; with so much on the internet, TV and radio itās easy for me to get lost in those. Reading for pleasure has become something of a lost art.
9. Spend wisely; itās so easy to spend money on things we really donāt need, buy on a whim or because weāre keeping up with the Joneses.
10. Review your current ļ¬nancial situation; itās always a good idea to take stock on a yearly basis.
Now this last resolution I can deļ¬nitely help you keep. My resolution is to contact each of you this year to check in and if appropriate, set up a time to meet. We can update your information and see where you stand. Your ļ¬nancial health is critical to your familyās future security. Weāll take a look at your goals and aspirations and help make sure youāre on track to reach them.
