CHAMBER CHATBOOK

MARCH & APRIL 2026

A LETTER FROM OUR INCOMING EXEC.

DIRECTOR!

Dear Members,

Thank you for entrusting me with the position of Executive Director for the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber. I feel the weight and responsibility of this role and look forward to fulfilling the responsibilities given to me.

I come to this position with the perspective of a chamber member, a board member, and a small business owner. In all these roles, I have experienced the benefits of the chamber. I have enjoyed the connections established and fostered in the Women in Business events and the Chamber Connections. I have experienced a powerful sense of community and celebration at the Chili Fest, Arts and Crafts Festival, Stocking Walk and Elf Hunt. The recognition of success at the Annual Meeting and Awards Night cemented my feelings of being part of a nurturing supportive chamber of commerce. Serving on the board has allowed me to see the inner workings of an active, committed board of directors.

As I assume this role, I would like to thank Judy Sullivan, who has led this organization for the past 25 years. All will feel her vacancy, and I will do my best to continue her legacy of leading a strong organization with commitment, grace, and small-town values.

All my best,

LE BO BEC SI CIR

The Town of Old Saybrook received a grant from the State of CT Department of Housing to study the B-1 and portions of the B-2/B-4 Districts in the Main Street area to determine feasibility of mixed-use housing regulations.

A survey is being distributed to help understand the parking needs and challenges experienced by those who frequent the Main St./downtown area.
