NEWSLETTER President’s Message As we move into the final month of our Centennial Year, I want to give my thanks and appreciation to our outstanding OSCAR Staff for their dedicated work for our Association. Our OSCAR Staff, from top to bottom, stands out as one of the best, if not the best, in Florida – and frankly the entire nation.

I have also had the privilege and pleasure to serve with our 2024 OSCAR Board of Directors. Across this state and even the rest of the country, you will not find a finer group of people. They have put in hours and hours and hours of time and effort as your representatives with a singular focus on moving our Association always to the benefit of you, our members. None of the OSCAR Board’s work would be possible without the contribution from our Committees and Task Forces. The Chairs, Vice-Chairs, and Committee Members have all put in their many hours of time and effort – with exactly the same focus as the Board – moving our Association always to the benefit of you the members. Both I and the Board are grateful for them and for their service. And then there is you. You, the members, are what really make our Association great. I have the opportunity this year to meet with other Board Presidents from across the state and the country. From many hours of
conversation and discussion in NAR and Florida Realtors committee meetings and task groups, one thing has become very evident to me. You, our members, are just outstanding. Through two back-to-back major hurricanes, through all of the upheaval with the NAR legal settlement, through so many new forms, contracts, addenda, and requirements that I have nearly lost count – you came through. You continued to deliver amazing service and benefits to Buyers, Sellers, Landlords, and Tenants. Despite everything thrown at you this year – you never stopped. In the long line of our Association’s one hundred year history, you stand shoulder to shoulder in the top echelons of those members who have come before you. You have met and exceeded the standards of service to your customers, your clients, and your community. For this I am ever grateful, and you should be very proud. In 2024 you and OSCAR have set a high bar, and I eagerly look forward to all of us building on those accomplishments as we move forward into the first year of our next century.
