The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. It is awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The Town also received a second award from the GFOA for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for the Town’s Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022. Community Center parking lot update Exciting news for Community and Recreation Center patrons! The parking lot reconfiguration and expansion project is substantially complete, eight weeks ahead of schedule! That means that patrons can now park in the 130 new spots. The only thing left to do is install lights in the parking lot, and that should be finished by mid-September. Curious as to why the project was finished ahead of schedule? It's because this project didn’t experience ANY delays due to weather, supplies, or other unforeseen issues. These kinds of delays are things that contractors usually encounter, so they proactively build extra time into a project schedule to accommodate those issues. Thankfully, they didn’t need that extra time, and things came together quickly and smoothly. Thank you for your patience as we worked to improve parking at the Community Center!

NARANJA PARK EXPANSION PROJECT
The turf on the new multi-purpose fields is growing exceptionally well. They’re just as green and bright as the existing fields! Haydon is monitoring watering conditions and putting extra fertilizer to ensure Oro Valley has the best fields around. If you visit the park, you might also notice that field light poles are now up. Crews continue to do behind-the-scenes construction including grading and underground utility work, which will make way for construction to start on the remaining park improvements, including the splash pad, skate park, pump track and pickleball courts.
