Free document shredding for OV residents

Stormwater fee increase begins July 1

Safely disposing of sensitive documents is one of the simplest steps you can take to protect yourself and your household from identity theft. That’s why the Town of Oro Valley is hosting a free shredding event for residents. Bring your documents, watch them get shredded on-site, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing your personal information has been handled safely and responsibly.

To support long term maintenance and improvement of the Town’s stormwater infrastructure, Oro Valley Town Council recently approved a three-year phased increase to the Stormwater Utility fee. The fee adjustment, which is the first increase in 10 years, will also help ensure continued compliance with regional, state and federal requirements. At full implementation, the monthly rate will increase from $4.50 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) to $6.50 per ERU; however, the phased approach means residents can expect to see a gradual increase of approximately 67 cents for each of the next three years, beginning July 1, 2026.
