Remodeled Town Court improves safety and efficiency Last month, OV cut the ribbon on a multiyear Town Court expansion and improvement project that greatly improves the safety and efficiency of operations for court staff and visitors alike. Construction on this notable Capital Improvement Project began April 1, 2024, and was completed within budget. Mayor Winfield said it best in his remarks at the ribbon cutting: “This expansion and remodel are more than a physical improvement. They reflect the thoughtful investment in safety, efficiency and the fair administration of justice in Oro Valley.”

OV welcomes three (adorable) new sculptures You may have seen or heard about them already: three new animal sculptures along La Cholla Blvd.—a rabbit, jaguar and owl—that are delighting all who pass by. (See photos above.) These charming sculptures, which also include a bench, are the result of the Transportation Art by Youth (TABY) program. Funded by the Pima Association of Governments, and led by Art State Arizona, this program partners local students with professional teaching artists to provide hands-on experience, mentorship and paid employment. Thank you to the talented student artists for your beautiful contribution to our community! The sculptures are located at three intersections along La Cholla Blvd: the rabbit is at Lambert Lane; the jaguar is at Naranja Drive; and the owl is at Glover Road.
