Reminder: May 5 deadline for short term rentals Do you rent out your property through services like Airbnb or VRBO? If so, don't forget that May 5 is the deadline to register for a short term rental license. A license costs $80 per year, and it is part of a new Town ordinance that went into effect February 3, 2023. For complete details or assistance, visit orovalleyaz.gov and search for SHORT TERM RENTALS.

NARANJA PARK EXPANSION PROJECT With the wet weather Oro Valley saw this winter, the hydroseed at Naranja Park soaked up the moisture, resulting in a wonderful hillside of poppies! Meantime, the irrigation installation for Fields 5 and 6 is nearing competition. The contractor will be installing sprigs (small grass stems) in May so that the Bermuda Grass can begin to grow. We anticipate the fields opening in November. As part of the irrigation project, a “smart” water meter will be installed, which will allow for balancing the loads on the reclaimed system—a much-needed feature when Fields 5 and 6 are completed and open for play! With the warmer weather, this is a friendly reminder for those who visit Naranja Park that construction fencing and signage have been placed for your safety. Please do not enter construction areas.
