Doña Gloria
instilled the love for others in her children. In her memory, they founded FGK as a way to honor her and carry on her legacy. The vision of promoting a spirit of service and solidarity among Salvadorans was born through her.
The Gloria Kriete Foundation
Established in December 2004 at the initiative of Doña Gloria’s seven children, is a non-profit organization created primarily to honor Doña Gloria’s memory and to pass on to new generations the altruistic spirit with which she lived.
For 20 years, the Gloria Kriete Foundation has impacted more than 3.3 million Salvadorans in areas such as health, education, employability, community development, entrepreneurship, technology, innovation, and the environment.
At the Foundation, we believe that all human beings deserve the tools to strive for equal opportunities and thus transform their living conditions and those of their communities.
Mission
To be a sustainable family foundation across generations, dreaming of and working towards building a more supportive society, committed to the holistic development of those in need.
Vision
To be a reference Foundation that promotes the spirit of service and solidarity, leading by example, developing its own projects and supporting organizations committed to the well-being and advancement of Salvadoran families.
Purpose
We believe that all human beings deserve the tools to strive for equal opportunities and thereby change their living conditions and those of their communities.
VALUES THAT HELP US TRANSFORM STORIES
GRATITUDE
The year 2025 reaffirmed the value of a social vision built with perseverance, strategic partnerships, and a shared purpose. Over these 21 years, we have consolidated a strong network of support and collaboration that allows us to generate real opportunities and sustainable solutions to strengthen the development of our country.
Throughout these two decades, thanks to the commitment of companies, organizations, and institutions that share our mission, we have channeled $75.5 million through social initiatives that support education, healthcare, access to water, food security, and community development, positively impacting 3.3 million people across the country.
As I have said on several occasions, “when those who are on the ground transforming lives are supported, the impact multiplies; and collective solidarity can change entire realities.” This conviction has guided every step of our work and reminds us that to help is a verb best expressed in the present by identifying needs and acting with commitment and consistency.
Our approach has focused on strengthening capacities, promoting social innovation, and consolidating sustainable impact models, always alongside communities and partners who put their hearts into every action. Education, in particular, has been a pillar for transformation: we firmly believe that investing in knowledge is investing in the future of our country.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to every company, organization, and individuals who have trusted in our work and joined our efforts to multiply social impact. Their solidarity and commitment to the common good are living examples of how working together can transform lives.
We look ahead with confidence and determination, aware that the path we have built together will continue to be the key to expanding opportunities, transforming realities, and making El Salvador a more just, inclusive, and supportive country.
Roberto Kriete President of the Board of Directors
Gloria Kriete Foundation
Current social challenges require strategic leadership, a long-term vision, and the ability to adapt. From the Board of Directors, we support a management approach focused on strengthening intervention models that generate sustainable and measurable impact.
Throughout this time, we consolidated an approach that prioritizes strategic clarity, efficiency in the use of resources, and continuous improvement, understanding that social innovation is more effective when it translates into clear and scalable solutions.
The work carried out during 2025, reflected in this Annual Report, shows the results and alignment toward a shared vision of development. Communities are the protagonists of their own progress, and our role is to support these processes with rigor and institutional commitment.
As we look at the achievements of our Foundation over these 21 years, we confirm that solidarity with purpose transforms realities, and we reaffirm our commitment to responsible management focused on creating sustainable social value for El Salvador.
Fernando Kriete
Vice President of the Board of Directors
Gloria Kriete Foundation
During 2025, Gloria Kriete Foundation continued advancing with a clear and strategic vision, aimed at generating sustainable and transformative impact. Our work focused on strengthening capacities, building strategic partnerships, and consolidating intervention models with verifiable results that contribute to the comprehensive development of the communities we serve.
Our permanent programs maintained their focus on developing human talent, strengthening institutions, and connecting education, employability, and social development, reaching thousands of people through social investment, technical support, and access to concrete opportunities that change lives.
Across all areas, the Foundation continued to support training initiatives, strengthen social organizations, and capacity building in strategic sectors, reaffirming its commitment to comprehensive, sustainable, and long-term solutions, aligned with our vision of contributing to the progress of the country.
None of this would be possible without the team that drives this work, nor without the organizations and partners who trust and walk alongside us. With strategic vision, institutional discipline, and an approach centered on people.
May this report bring together not only data and milestones, but also the spirit of service, collaboration, and forward-looking visiion that drives us to continue contributing to the human and social development of El Salvador.

Managed Programs
Twenty-one years ago, the Gloria Kriete Foundation was established with the vision of supporting existing social initiatives through programs designed to collaborate with other institutions. It has established strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations to continuously finance projects. Currently, FGK operates three permanent programs and supports six ongoing initiatives implemented in collaboration with other organizations.
Since its inception in 2007, the Oportunidades Program has had the mission of empowering underprivileged Salvadoran youth by providing them with the tools they need to improve their lives and their communities. Its goal is to bridge the educational gap by shaping well-rounded citizens who are prepared to face challenges. The program’s methodology combines technical knowledge with soft skills, offering an innovative curriculum that adapts to current technological needs. Currently, it is the only program that provides complementary academic excellence, advanced comprehensive training, and access to employment opportunities, guiding young people with the support of professionals.

TESTIMO NIALS
Angela Flamenco
Class of 2025
San Salvador Full-Time
Angela grew up facing many limitations in an environment where everyone looked out for themselves. At a young age, she learned to fight for her goals and seek opportunities despite the difficulties. Because her parents needed to work, they were often unable to be present, and Angela understood that the effort her parents made deserved a reward. Over the years, Angela was recognized with academic merits, and although her parents were not always able to be present when she received them, they consistently supported her. Angela applied to the Oportunidades Program without any guidance. Today, she is a person with qualities such as leadership and initiative. The Oportunidades Program provided her with the tools she needed to succeed, which led her to earn a scholarship for her higher education at Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA), where she is studying an Associate’s Degree in Digital Marketing. This achievement is the result of her effort, the friends she made in the Program, and the support of her parents.
Andrea Juárez
Class of 2023
San Salvador Full-Time
When Andrea started Phase 2 of the program, she felt anxiety and uncertainty about the results. However, from the very beginning she had real support: her coach and the rest of the Oportunidades Program team were present in every strategic decision. She never walked alone; she was always heard. At the end, Andrea obtained a scholarship to study a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera. Entering university placed her in an environment that naturally becomes more individual and solitary. However, in her case, the Higher Education and Professional Support phase has played a key role. Her coach has become a pillar in her academic, personal, and professional development. She’s been accompanied through every course, every decision, and every step. Currently, Andrea is in her sophomore year, and for her, this support has been essential in order to keep moving forward.
Robert Reyes
Class of 2015
San Miguel Saturday Modality
For Robert, the Oportunidades Program represented a turning point that shaped the course of his life. Thanks to the university scholarship and the comprehensive training he received, he was able to develop skills, discipline, and a strong sense of commitment to his future and his community. Robert pursued his studies at Universidad Gerardo Barrios, where he strengthened his academic and professional preparation as a Civil Engineer.
Today, Robert lives by one of the core values instilled in him by the program: giving back to society what it has given him. He currently serves as Head of the Municipal Works Unit in the Municipality of La Unión Norte, where he works to advance projects that contribute to community development and the well-being of the population.
The Program was not only an opportunity, but the starting point of a path defined by growth, service, and commitment to society.
The Helping Those Who Help Program of the Gloria Kriete Foundation stands out as one of the most influential social initiatives in El Salvador. Through its approach, it seeks to generate a collective impact for social development by engaging key sectors in addressing a wide range of challenges, from education and health to access to drinking water, food security, infrastructure, and environmental protection. This initiative directs its funds toward three strategic areas: NGOs, Social Entrepreneurship, and Community Development. In addition, the program has implemented a training component that includes community projects and social entrepreneurship initiatives. This training component aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by facilitating the growth of social business models and to develop community leaders by enhancing their skills in managing social projects.
