Gloria Kriete Foundation’s 2026-2030 Strategic Plan is the result of a participatory process that brought our team together for strategic working sessions, where every contribution, every reflection, and every proposal were essential in shaping this document. More than an institutional planning exercise, this plan represents a shared commitment, a collective exercise of vision and responsibility that reflects our history, our present, and above all, the path forward for the coming years.
During this process, we reaffirmed that our mission goes beyond programs and projects: we transform human beings through the necessary preparation to raise their awareness and open new opportunities. We are a foundation that deeply believes that all people deserve the tools to change their lives and their environment. From this conviction, we recognize that the playing field is not always level and that we still need to “straighten the unbalanced table,” creating conditions of equity that allow the impact of the transformation to be multiplied.
This Strategic Plan is based on who we are, what we do, how we do it, and how we want to be perceived. We are the ones who multiply transformation so that the impact transcends the lives of those we serve and those around them. We shape agents of social change capable of assuming their role in building a fairer country, we work with transparency and with nothing to hide, and we challenge ourselves every day to be an example of consistency, vision, and credibility.
We want to be seen as the Foundation that believes in El Salvador, setting the standard for how to generate impact that lasts into the future.
With twenty years of experience and tangible results, this new 2026-2030 horizon presents us with greater commitments and more complex challenges. We know that, as a Foundation, if we want to achieve more, we need more support. To do so, we must open ourselves to new opportunities for cooperation and strengthen our national partnerships. We will adjust our programs and projects so that every action is better aligned with our purpose, strategic pillars, and the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that the transformation we promote has global resonance and local relevance.
This plan not only organizes us internally but also projects us as a Foundation that multiplies transformation, willing to put first whatever is necessary to level inequalities and create real opportunities. We are inspired to work with those who, despite difficulties, have the desire to change their living conditions and are willing to put in the necessary effort to do so. With a clear vision and firm commitment, Gloria Kriete Foundation reaffirms its purpose of being a bridge of opportunities, a driving force of collective awareness, and a key player in building a better country today and for the future generations.

The context in which our work takes place reflects a world in constant transformation. Economic, social, and cultural dynamics are shaped by globalization, digitalization, and the growing public demand for transparency and results. These changes are not unfamiliar to El Salvador, where structural challenges are combined with new opportunities for social innovation that must be leveraged to generate sustainable human development.

In our country, the persistence of poverty, inequality, and the lack of opportunities for large sectors of the population continue to be central challenges. These problems are intertwined with migration dynamics, insecurity, and institutional fragility, generating a complex landscape. However, at the same time, expressions of community resilience, creativity, and organizational capacity emerge, showing that there is real potential to build alternative paths toward inclusion and well-being.
In this context, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) become a global compass that also guides our local actions. The commitments assumed by El Salvador under the 2030 Agenda are aligned with the challenges we face as a society: poverty reduction, gender equality, access to quality health and education, decent employment, climate action, and institutional strengthening. These goals represent a framework of reference that guides the work of Gloria Kriete Foundation, aligning our initiatives with international targets that, at the same time, respond to the urgent needs of our communities.

In this way, our Strategic Plan not only addresses national realities, but also contributes to a global effort to build more just, sustainable, and inclusive societies. One of the most defining factors of our time is digital transformation. Technologies are changing the way we connect, learn, and work, opening new possibilities for education, citizen participation, and innovation. In El Salvador, the digital divide remains a significant obstacle, especially in rural communities and low-income sectors. From our strategic vision, we recognize the importance of promoting digitalization as an instrument of inclusion and equity, preventing it from becoming a new social barrier.
Social inequality continues to be one of the most urgent challenges. Limited opportunities for young people and women, as well as forced migration in search of better living conditions, highlight the need to create equity environments. Through our Strategic Plan, we reaffirm our commitment to contributing to the creation of these opportunities by promoting programs that encourage education, health, entrepreneurship, and access to resources that make it possible to transform lives and communities.
The political, economic, and legal environment adds an additional level of uncertainty. Changes in regulations for social organizations, increasing competition for resources, and the variability of international funding require strong and transparent institutions capable of sustaining their legitimacy through public trust and verifiable results.

This Strategic Plan responds to this context with a clear vision: to strengthen credibility and position Gloria Kriete Foundation as a national benchmark in the promotion of human development.
In this context, Gloria Kriete Foundation operates within a complex environment where challenges and opportunities converge. On one hand, the country’s social, economic, and environmental gaps continue to pressure institutions to respond with innovative and sustainable proposals. On the other hand, openness to cross-sector collaboration, growing interest in social investment, and the possibilities offered by technology provide new conditions to expand impact. These environmental dynamics shape a scenario in which the work of social organizations is not only necessary, but also strategic for the development of El Salvador.

THE IDENTITY THAT DEFINES US AND THE COMMITMENT TO THOSE WE SERVE
To be a sustainable family foundation across generations, dreaming of and working towards building a more solidary society, committed to the holistic development of those in need.
THE HORIZON THAT GUIDES OUR COMMITMENT TO SALVADORAN FAMILIES
To be a model foundation that promotes a spirit of service and solidarity by example, developing its own projects and supporting organizations committed to the well-being and advancement of Salvadoran families.
DEFINES WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO AND FOR WHOM WE DO IT
We believe that all human beings deserve the tools to strive for equal opportunities and thereby change their living conditions and those of their communities.

At Gloria Kriete Foundation, we understand gratitude as the ability to recognize what has been received and transform it into acts of kindness toward others. It is a value that reminds us that nothing is achieved alone and that every step forward should be lived with humility and gratitude.

Solidarity is the driving force that moves us to support those who need it most, creating opportunities that promote equality and dignity. For the Foundation, being supportive means being present, sharing, and acting with empathy toward the realities of communities.

Integrity reflects the consistency between what we think, say, and do. It guides us to act with honesty, respect, and ethics in every decision, ensuring that our actions are grounded in strong principles and in the trust of those who believe in our work.

Commitment at the Foundation is reflected in the conviction to contribute to the country’s development with dedication, passion, and responsibility. It is the force that keeps us constant and focused on fulfilling our purpose of transforming lives and communities.

We understand citizenship as the active exercise of being part of a society, assuming rights and responsibilities for the common good. For us, it means promoting participation, shared responsibility, and a sense of belonging, building stronger and more cohesive communities.

We believe that working together multiplies results. Cooperation is a principle that guides us to build networks, coordinate efforts, and create alliances that strengthen social impact and reinforce the common good in El Salvador.

Sustainability is the principle that ensures our actions not only respond to immediate needs but also generate lasting change. At Gloria Kriete Foundation, it means thinking about the present and future generations, ensuring viable, responsible, and resilient projects.

Transparency is the foundation of the trust that has accompanied us throughout our history. It guides us to provide clear accountability, communicate with honesty, and ensure that every invested resource translates into concrete results for people and communities.

Gloria Kriete Foundation’s Theory of Change is based on the conviction that every person deserves access to tools and opportunities to transform their life and their environment. Our proposal is built upon three pillars that structure all of our actions: Education and Innovation, as drivers to open horizons and create equal opportunities; Strategic Cooperation, which enhances the power of alliances and joint efforts; and Social Development, which ensures concrete responses to the health, well-being, and resilience needs of the most vulnerable communities.
Our main differentiator lies in the fact that we do not only promote programs, but we also build sustainable processes of change. In the Education and Innovation pillar, we support children, young people, and entrepreneurs through programs that strengthen their abilities and prepare them for a competitive future. Through Strategic Cooperation, we coordinate efforts with different sectors to multiply the reach of our actions. And through Social Development, we respond to the immediate needs of the population with projects that generate tangible and lasting well-being.

The added value of the Foundation is reflected in its ability to generate measurable and scalable impact. Our programs have demonstrated concrete results that can be replicated in different territories and adapted to diverse populations. The rigor in measurement, transparency in accountability, and capacity for innovation allow us to demonstrate that social impact is not only possible but can also be expanded and sustained over time.
Our comprehensive approach ensures that each initiative goes beyond the delivery of resources and becomes a true commitment to the future of the country. Gloria Kriete Foundation promotes active citizenship, solidarity, and sustainability, acting as a bridge between needs and solutions, between people and opportunities. By incorporating innovation in education, strategic cooperation, and social development programs, we consolidate a unique intervention model that sets us apart and positions us as a key player in the transformation of El Salvador.

The Gloria Kriete Foundation recognizes knowledge as a strategic resource to enhance social impact and transforming lives and communities. In this context, the creation of the Knowledge Management Department represents a strategic process of the Foundation, designed in a participatory and consultative manner, and has been key to the consolidation of the Institutional Plan while strengthening our institutional framework.
To ensure the systematic management of knowledge, we promote the documentation and systematization of experiences, learnings, and best practices generated through our programs and projects. This includes the development of databases, reports, case studies, and lessons learned, consolidating evidence that supports strategic and operational decision-making and contributing to the continuous improvement of our interventions.
The dissemination and exchange of knowledge are fundamental pillars of our approach. We share learnings with strategic partners, collaborators, and society at large through workshops, publications, digital platforms, and collaborative spaces that foster innovation, cooperation, and the replicability of best practices. This approach strengthens learning and cooperation networks, expanding the reach and impact of our actions.
Innovation is integrated as a cross-cutting factor in knowledge management. We encourage the adoption of new methodologies, technological tools, and creative approaches that enhance the effectiveness of programs, facilitate the resolution of societal challenges, and promote sustainable solutions, turning institutional learning into a continuous driver of transformation for the individuals and communities we serve.
We also adopted advanced digital tools that strengthen knowledge management and enable agile, evidence-based decision-making. We use data analysis and visualization platforms, cloud-based systems for secure document storage and collaboration, and artificial intelligence technologies to process large volumes of information, identify patterns, assess trends, and maximize the impact of our interventions, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness to social challenges.
In addition, we develop an institutional repository of lessons learned and success stories, serving as an open and accessible knowledge base for our team, strategic partners, and communities. This repository documents relevant experiences, effective methodologies, measurable results, and replicable practices, consolidating evidence of our programmatic impact and strengthening the Foundation’s institutional capacity.

Monitoring and evaluation are an essential component of the Gloria Kriete Foundation’s Institutional Strategic Plan (ISP), as this ensures that actions and programs are aligned with the organization’s purpose and strategic pillars. This process guarantees the efficient use of resources, the proper documentation of results, and the generation of learning that strengthens decision-making.
The Foundation understands monitoring and evaluation as a mechanism for accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement, ensuring that each initiative has a positive and measurable impact on the individuals and communities we serve.
Measure the long-term changes generated in individuals, communities, and society as a result of the Foundation’s programs and projects.
Assess the intermediate effects of implemented actions, showing how activities contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives.
Verify the execution of specific activities and the delivery of inputs, services, or products within programs, ensuring that planned commitments are fulfilled.
To ensure transparency and accountability, the Foundation implements periodic monitoring mechanisms, including quarterly progress reports, results review meetings, presentations of achievements to strategic partners, and the publication of impact reports on platforms accessible to the community and donors. This approach enables clear and verifiable communication of progress, strengthens trust among partners, and contributes to improved resource management.
The Foundation also uses digital monitoring and management tools that facilitate data collection, results analysis, and the generation of automated reports. These tools enable real-time tracking, identification of performance gaps, standardized measurement of indicators, and ensure that the information gathered serves as input for strategic decision-making. The combination of robust methodologies, clear indicators, and monitoring technology transforms ISP evaluation into a dynamic, results-oriented process, strengthening the Foundation’s capacity to transform lives and communities in a sustainable way.
The next steps for the Gloria Kriete Foundation focus initially on the full institutional adoption of the ISP 2026–2030 by the entire team. This involves socializing the strategic objectives, development and organizational pillars, as well as the mission, vision, purpose, values, and principles, ensuring that each employee understands their role in the social transformation the Foundation seeks to generate.
The institutionalization of this vision will be supported by training sessions, participatory workshops, and internal communication mechanisms that foster a sense of belonging, cohesion, and commitment to the Foundation’s purpose.
In parallel, priority will be given to aligning all programs and projects with the strategic pillars, establishing clear goals, monitoring indicators, and oversight mechanisms to ensure efficiency and relevance in implementation. The Foundation will promote educational innovation, strategic cooperation, and social development through methodologies adapted to the context of the communities we serve, incorporating digital tools and knowledge management platforms that enable the systematization of learning and optimize evidence-based decision-making.
The monitoring and evaluation of the ISP will be consolidated through a comprehensive results and impact measurement approach, which includes output, outcome, and impact indicators, periodic reporting, gap analysis, and continuous feedback. These actions will strengthen accountability, increase transparency regarding achievements and challenges, and generate institutional learning that contributes to continuous improvement of interventions. Knowledge management becomes a cross-cutting factor that ensures lessons learned and best practices are shared and made replicable both within and beyond the Foundation.

Ultimately, the Foundation will focus its efforts on strengthening its sustainability, visibility, and institutional positioning. This involves diversifying funding sources, optimizing internal processes, strengthening human talent capabilities, and effectively communicating achieved results. Collaboration with strategic partners, the development of cooperation networks, and the promotion of a strong organizational culture will ensure that the Foundation’s social impact is scalable, sustainable, and transformative, consolidating its role as a key player in building a more just and equitable El Salvador.
