From Bootle, With Love brings together the voices of young people from MYA SPACE in Bootle and students from Hugh Baird College, as they explore the vibrant world of I Love You Southport – an exhibition celebrating the life and work of artist Chila Kumari Burman MBE.
Inspired by Chila’s use of printmaking, photography, drawing, collage and colour, the young people worked collaboratively with artist Dawn Woolley to create work that speaks to their sense of self, place and community.
This zine documents the conversations, the shared experiences, the experiments, and the connections formed along the way.
