GUIDELINES FOR OUR GUESTS’ SAFETY & ENJOYMENT
• The park is staffed daily during office hours from 9 am to 7 pm
• If there is a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911. For non-life-threatening emergencies, please call (302) 897-2765. For repairs and other requests, please text (361) 482-7098, and we will respond ASAP during working hours.
• All visitors must check in at the office upon arrival.
• Check-in Times: 1:00 pm for RVs and tents; 3:00 pm for cabins.
• Check-out Time: 11:00 am for all campers. Extra fees apply for late departures. Please re-register prior to 11:00 am on your departure date.
• Quiet Time: From 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Disorderly conduct and/or excessive noise will not be tolerated. Generators may only be used during power outages lasting more than one hour.
• Open fires are permitted only in the KOA-provided fire rings.
• Outside firewood is not allowed. Please do not leave fires unattended.
• Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside cabins or public areas and buildings.
• Alcohol: No drunkenness or rowdy behavior will be tolerated at any time. No glass bottles in the pool, beach or playground.
• Parking is limited to one vehicle per camping site, included in the rate. Overflow parking is available for extra vehicles. Please do not park on the streets, on the grass, between the pads, or on any unoccupied sites.
• The Laundry Room is open 24/7 for your convenience. A coin machine in the laundry room accepts $1 and $5 bills, or you can get change in the office.
• Children must be supervised at all times. Parents are responsible for their children’s actions and any damage to the property.
• Propane is available most days, including weekends; text (361) 482-7098 for an appointment. We refill portable tanks and built-in tanks.
Swimming Pool
• Open daily from 8:30 am until dusk. The pool is heated in winter (up to 20°F above the low) and cooled in summer (up to 20°F below the high). The saltwater pool will be closed during storms or when the temperature is below 45°F for any 48-hour period.
• No diving is allowed. There is no lifeguard on duty; swim at your own risk. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and wear swim diapers if under 3 years old.
• Splash Pad: No running, bicycles, or scooters—feet only. The splash pad is for children 10 and under and must be supervised by an adult. Swimsuits only—no street clothing allowed.
• Trash must be bagged, tied, and placed at the front of your site between 6:00 am and 9:30 am for pickup. Do not leave trash out overnight. Only household trash is accepted; no furniture, appliances, or packing boxes. An additional fee will be charged for improperly disposed of items.
• Campsites must be kept clean. Nothing should be stored under or around your RV, and hanging clothing outside is not permitted. Please be aware of high winds at times—do not leave your awnings out unattended.
• Balls, paddles, nets, and other game rentals can be checked out at the office during business hours. A $20 deposit is taken when renting equipment. You can exchange rental equipment for amenities provided during your stay. Before you leave, return the equipment, and you will receive a $15 refund for undamaged items.
• Boats are allowed in the bay during daylight hours only. Tie your boat at our shore at your own risk.
• You may rent water sports equipment, including life jackets and oars, at the office. A valid driver’s license is required.
• Golf Cart Rentals can be checked out at the office. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license. Remember to bring your driver’s license and insurance card when renting a golf cart.
• Pets are welcome as part of your family! However, aggressive or hostile breeds are not permitted. Please do not leave your pet unattended outdoors. All pets must be on a leash and under adult supervision at all times. Please pick up after their messes.
• Firearms and Fireworks: Strictly prohibited anywhere in the park. Absolutely no open carry.
• Safety Notice: Camping and outdoor activities can be dangerous.
• Port Lavaca/Matagorda Bay KOA Holiday assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or losses from any cause, regardless of fault.
• Jumping Pad: Available most days, weather permitting. No running, shoes, or toys of any kind—bare feet only. The jumping pad is for children 10 and under and must be supervised by an adult.
The owner and management of Port Lavaca KOA Holiday reserve the right to refuse any RV that does not meet their standards for appearance, working order, or age. Disregarding these guidelines, which are designed for everyone’s safety and enjoyment, may result in the termination of a camper’s stay without additional notice or refund of any fees.
