HOST REFLECTION
POSTED ON ONETABLE
“I am so overwhelmed. I feel like with the news, everyone asks me how I am doing and I don’t know what to say. I really appreciate OneTable. [It] has been so amazing. It is this beautiful ritual for friends, myself, and more. Now, but always.”

OneTable is at the forefront of making Jewish rituals and community gatherings accessible and welcoming for an entire generation of young adults. Our love of Shabbat, expertise in grassroots community building, commitment to hospitality, and human-centered design mean we lead the field in both peer-to-peer engagement and technology.
In 2023, we experienced great success with expanding and integrating our family of offerings to reach new populations. We also collectively experienced great pain following the Oct. 7 attack on Israel. We saw our numbers significantly increase in the immediate weeks afterwards, and pivoted our focus to ensure that we were meeting the needs of Jewish young adults searching for connection and resources.
The following pages tell the story of our year as we track our progress on the goals set forth in our 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, “Setting the Next Course”: build a movement, enrich the experience, and grow internal capacity.

EXPANDING TO NEW GENERATIONS WITH TOGETHER @ONETABLE
In early 2023, we completed a market research project to better understand the needs of older adults and their current Jewish practices.*
WE SURVEYED OVER
ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEWS AND CONDUCTED 200 people 12 2 focus groups
We learned that despite trends of loneliness, social isolation, and inactivity in congregational or Jewish communities, this is a population seeking new ways to build community and interested in doing so in a Jewish setting. Many are seeking to join someone else’s Shabbat dinner because they no longer have a strong community.
After securing seed funding in Atlanta, Denver/Boulder, and Palm Beach, we hired a program director, built out a new platform (Together @OneTable), and began recruiting early adopters and partners, including:
