Dear Neighbor,

With a strong dose of both humor and pragmatism, I’ve stopped looking for a typical year at One22 Resource Center. After all, our uniquely beautiful—and also uniquely extreme— community has a host of features that can make any year extraordinary.

Through creative problem-solving and thoughtful reflection, our team shows a remarkable ability to approach each year with all that we’ve learned and an open mind. Because you support us, you know it’s a year-round reality that our harsh economy makes it difficult for many of our friends and neighbors to weather the impacts of job loss, injury, reduction in hours or a change in housing.

Not only are individual hardships ever-present, but community crises continue to arise unexpectedly. This is where we step in: to provide support for those in need and to foster collective resilience, allowing us to navigate challenges together.

In 2025, a new challenge arose in the fall when many federal workers’ paychecks were suspended for 43 days. Living among the natural wonders of our national parks and forests means that local land stewards, natural scientists, educators and security professionals are critical to our community and well-being. With your help, we quickly mobilized our Quick Relief and Emergency Assistance programs to support nearly 200 households during this crisis.

In an example of creativity, our Community Engagement team worked with 132 volunteers and contributors to recraft One22’s holiday offering with the first One22 Holiday Gift Shop, where more than 250 shoppers selected from a curated collection of warm coats, electronics, kitchen appliances, craft kits, stocking stuffers and more.

Each new year keeps us on our toes, and we couldn’t do it without your support. On behalf of our entire team, thank you for making this work possible and giving us the strength to maintain consistent resources, as well as the courage to adapt.

Feeding Families through Local Producer Partnerships

Nourishing Stability Through Dignified Food Assistance

Access to reliable, nutritious food plays a critical role in household stability. Our Food Assistance program meets immediate needs while also serving as a practical budgeting tool, helping households redirect limited income toward rent, healthcare and other essentials.

Food assistance is often one of several ways households engage with One22. Many families connect with us through another program—such as Youth Enrichment Scholarships— and then choose to use our food pantry as an accessible way to stretch their household budget. Last year, 29% of families receiving Youth Enrichment Scholarships also used the Jackson Cupboard, demonstrating how food assistance complements other supports to stabilize day‑to‑day finances.

This past summer, a new grant-funded partnership with Slow Food in the Tetons opened the door to providing local food options for our clients. Through purchasing agreements with Wyoming producers, Huidekoper Ranch, Squire Ranch and Linn Ranch, we brought 1,295 pounds of locally produced beef, carrots, zucchini and potatoes into the Jackson Cupboard while supporting regional farms. This pilot was supported by the Wyoming Department of Family Services and Food Works Group, and improved access to fresh food for households who might not otherwise afford these items. On top of this, other generous local growers, Shoshone River Farm and Silver Stream Farm, donated over 5,643 pounds of produce, including strawberries, cucumbers, potatoes and more.

A Lifeline in Times of Disruption

When a community‑wide crisis hits, we can move quickly because we already run trusted, accessible financial support programs year‑round.

The 43-day federal government shutdown last fall abruptly increased local need as federal employees across Teton County faced furloughs and delayed pay. This created sudden financial strain for many of our local civil servants.

In response, One22 launched a temporary Relief for Federal Workers initiative—designed to move quickly and meet urgent, short term needs. Through this effort, we distributed hundreds of stipends to help cover essentials like gas and groceries, while also offering emergency financial assistance for more extensive needs such as rent and child care support. The generosity of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole and individual donors allowed us to quickly open this initiative.

Our close coordination with local agency leadership allowed us to understand essential needs, share resources and reach impacted employees quickly. These relationships strengthened our ability to act as a trusted, responsive partner in a time of crisis.

This initiative was built on the foundation of our Financial Assistance program, a core service supporting local households working hard to navigate the high cost of living. In Teton County, living costs are 75% higher than the state average*, and many households are just one disruption away from crisis.* One22’s Financial Assistance program offers stabilizing support by pairing direct financial assistance with resource navigation.

Seasonal Moments Worth Celebrating

A few times a year, our team leans into seasonal initiatives that are a little different from our daily work. While much of what we do can feel heavy at times, these programs create space for celebration and joy. Along the way, volunteers play a special role—adding care that helps bring these seasonal moments to life.

School Supply Drive

We want students to enter the school year with the tools they need to thrive. For many families, however, the cost of school supplies competes with other essential expenses, creating added stress at the start of the year. One22’s School Supply Drive helps ease that burden and ensures that students have everything on their list (backpacks included!) so they can start the year prepared and confident.

In 2025, both of these seasonal programs grew by over 20%, reflecting increased need and strong community engagement.

Holiday Gift Drive

Our annual Holiday Gift Drive received a thoughtful update this year, evolving into a two-day shop experience for our clients and those of referring agencies. This new approach gave families the chance to choose gifts that felt meaningful and personal. We’re especially grateful to St. John’s Episcopal Church for generously providing space for our Holiday Shop.

Unlocking Youth Potential through YES

Opportunities to learn, grow and connect outside the classroom can be formative, but they are not always accessible to every family. One22’s Youth Enrichment Scholarship (YES) program continues to expand access to the kinds of experiences that help young people grow into themselves. From art classes to sports and summer camps, YES supports youth in building confidence, exploring their interests and finding a sense of belonging.

YES made 588 activities possible for local youth, a 20% increase in scholarships from 2024.

At the same time, YES reflects a practical reality for many working families. With summer camps averaging nearly $400 per week, these opportunities are often out of reach. By reducing the average family contribution to just under $200, and helping cover additional costs like equipment and transportation, YES helps stretch tight household budgets and makes participation possible. For many parents, it also means access to safe, reliable care outside of school hours, easing the daily balance of work and caregiving.

Good ideas about serving one’s community often take root around a kitchen table, over coffee at a diner or whenever helping someone becomes more than a one-person endeavor. We feel sure that everyone who supports One22 has numerous examples in their own lives. These moments reflect the front lines of human service, and this is the kind of collective thinking that inspired our predecessor organizations 25 years ago. Friends became volunteers, volunteers became board members and caring people became donors—many became all three. All the while, our community grew, and with it, the need grew too.

Along the way, countless individuals lent their time and treasure to help make our community a kinder, gentler place for people who live and work here through the missions of El Puente, Community Resource Center, the Latino Resource Center and the Jackson Cupboard. This year, as we celebrate 25 years of work, and 10 years of being united through one organization—One22 Resource Center—we want to express our sincere gratitude for the foundation of deep care, compassion and commitment all these years. We know that acts of kindness and generosity occur every minute of every day by the same folks who set this work into motion.

Strengthening Financial Knowledge

Our 2025 Financial Empowerment workshops created engaging opportunities for community members to come together and learn in accessible, virtual spaces. Delivered over the Spring in both English and Spanish by local and national presenters, these eight workshops reached 100 unique participants. Topics included financial well-being, credit and debt, emergency savings and retirement planning. These workshops paired practical tools with encouragement and connection, helping attendees build confidence and take the next steps in their own financial lives.

By breaking complex, often misunderstood, topics into clear, approachable guidance, our financial education series helps participants make better informed decisions and plan for the future.

A Note from Leadership on One22’s Financial Position

One22 serves as a central point of assistance with basic needs, such as housing and food support, for hardworking low- to moderate-income members of our community. To do this, we rely almost entirely on supporters who are invested in the urgency of our mission: private philanthropists of all levels and local government.

Whether donors give directly to One22 through Old Bill’s Fun Run, via a donor-advised fund, private foundation or an anonymous gift, we see time and again that our mission is made possible by people who have a personal connection to and compassion for the economic challenges facing Jackson Hole’s workforce.

Likewise, local leaders at the Town of Jackson and Teton County granted funds that comprised 8.5% of our revenue in 2025, and we are proud to partner with the Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Center and Teton County Library to offer satellite food cupboards at these locations.

We are commonly asked about whether there is state and federal funding of our mission. In 2025, federal

and state funding comprised less than 3% of our revenue, or approximately $119,000. For 2026, this funding is budgeted at less than 1%. As inflation and other indicators of economic challenge increase, the importance of continued local engagement—and specifically private donor support—with the needs of our community is more critical than ever.
