FUND-A-NEED Donate to OMC Pediatrics Clinic or OMC Cares
We’re raising money for two OMC institutions tonight: OMC Cares and OMC Pediatrics Clinic. OMC Cares is a program that benefits employees that are having emergency situations. Dr. Dirk Gouge has led the effort to raise money for the program during these highstressed times for OMC first responder workers.
OMC Pediatrics Clinic offers pediatric primary care at Children’s Clinics in Port Angeles and Sequim. In the past the money raised at this event has provided funds for critical equipment that has greatly improved the lives of our youngest patients, the children’s of our community. We also have provided books for kids, some of them receiving their first book ever. One of the most important pieces of equipment that we have purchased as a result of this event – that wouldn’t have been bought otherwise – is a spot vision screener. This year we want to raise funds for a special blanket that amongst other things, will allow parents who under certain situations can’t touch their newborn, to do so.

Dinner at the “definitive steakhouse in the country” Four people will enjoy fine dining of a bygone area at Seattle’s El Gaucho Restaurant, where a team of talented chefs and staff provide old school, tableside service for people celebrating their lives. Each ritual, from the greeting at the front door to dinner is the restaurant’s nod to the past and vision for how fine dining should remain. Opened in 1953, Seattle’s original El Gaucho was part speak-easy and part Hunt’s breakfast club. Paul Mackay reopened El Gaucho in 1996, and the establishment is what people dreamed the past was and amplified it for today’s guest. Food and wine are included.
