OMC FOUNDATION
HEALTHCARE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
AVAILABLE TO:
Current Olympic Medical Center Employees
Peninsula College Clinical Nursing Program (Non-Olympic Medical Center Employees)
Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, Phlebotomy and other Peninsula College Medical Programs
Fund a Need OMC Healthcare Scholarship Fund The OMC Foundation has announced that it has created a scholarship program to help increase the number of healthcare workers in Clallam County, and to allow current OMC employees to further their education. One of the biggest obstacles that current employees, adults who want to change careers, and students face when they want to enter or advance in the healthcare field is the cost. We want to take that out of the equation, as we plan on these being significant awards. Growing the workforce is one of the the most significant challenges facing the healthcare industry and OMC today. By offering scholarships, we feel that we’ll be able to increase the potential employee pool that OMC can draw from. It will also help the rest of the industry in the County.
Overhead Lift System Cardiac Sonographers have a job that is physically difficult with work related injuries pushing too many skilled techs out of the field prematurely. In an effort to support our existing staff with equipment that will make their job more productive and safer we are also raising funds for overhead a lift system. This can assist with disabled patients and patients with limited mobility in both Port Angeles and Sequim.
