STATE OF NEBRASKA
Jim Pillen GOVERNOR
As a lifelong Nebraskan, I take great pride in our state. We are home to incredible people, making it a wonderful place to put down roots and raise a family.
The time I’ve spent in Lincoln over the years is something that I truly value, especially after becoming Governor. As the second-largest city and home to the iconic Nebraska State Capitol, it’s a fantastic place to visit, live, and grow. We are proud Husker fans, and nothing compares to filling in a Sea of Red to root for our volleyball, football, or basketball teams!
Lincoln, recently ranked as the No. 2 city in the nation for work-life balance, is growing rapidly and outpacing many peer cities. With diverse job opportunities and a strong sense of community, it’s a city on the rise.
From exploring the Historic Haymarket to supporting a family-owned small business, there is something for everyone. Come join the Good Life.

CITY OF LINCOLN Leirion Gaylor Baird MAYOR

HIn Lincoln, we make sound investments in our quality of life in more ways than one. While we continue investing in the parks, trails, and streets that elevate our daily experience in Nebraska’s capital city, we also invest in groundbreaking public assets that create opportunity, like the Music Box or MBX. We opened MBX to create a dynamic downtown hub for local talent to cultivate careers in the music industry.
MBX helps anchor Boehmer Street, our downtown music district that’s amplifying our local economy and our live music scene.
Just over a drumstick’s throw from MBX, another public asset is coming—Lincoln’s new central library. 21st-century libraries power 21st-century cities, and ours will become a hub for lifelong learning, community gathering, and an even higher quality of life.
Mere blocks from our future library, the new 8.5-acre South Haymarket Park will open later this year. This destination urban park will catalyze economic development, tourism, and recreation opportunities for all.
Our sound investments in our community members’ quality of life reverberate beyond Lincoln. We recently ranked as one of the happiest cities in America. That’s music to my ears and to so many others’ across Lincoln.

FARM TO TABLE CAFÉS
HUB CAFÉ

As Hub Café celebrates its 10th anniversary, executive chef and owner Jake Thiessen and his wife, Crystal Bock Thiessen, reflect on how the business truly embodies its name: a community hub for good, locally sourced food and events in a fun and welcoming indoor/outdoor atmosphere.
“Not only do we source locally, but we strive to create and maintain relationships with our small farmers and local growers,” Crystal said. “We also take pride in the fact that our dishes are all chef-prepared when you order. Nothing’s pre-made in bags or frozen and heated up. That’s something that’s increasingly harder to find.”
While Hub Café is known for its fromscratch breakfasts, brunches, and dinners, it’s also open Wednesday through Friday evenings for a rotating monthly menu of house-made pizzas and dinner dishes. From September to May, a weekly Wednesday Hub Farmers Market features food-focused vendors and live music. With seasonal events like the Hub & Soul
summer concert series and the Holiday Hub pop-up, Hub Café has become a true community space year-round.

When Jessica Jacobson, D.O., opened her practice in March of 2022, the Lincoln community gained more than skillful hands in the operating room. From personalized consultations and procedures to an unrivaled commitment to post-op outcomes, the team at Jacobson Cosmetic Surgery has performed a facelift on patient experience—and the results are stunning.
“It’s really about customized care and delivering an experience that’s more empowering rather than transactional,” Jacobson said. “We want to spend that time with everyone and give them very natural results that are ultimately highly personalized…From the very beginning, we’ve focused on providing that
high-touch care that you’re not going to be able to do in a hospital system or when working with insurance.”
And while the all-female team seeks to modernize their patients’ quality of care, they’re also reviving a lost art in the medical profession: house calls.
“We come and see you the evening of your surgery,” Jacobson said of their more intensive procedures such as facelifts and tummy tucks. “That in-home concierge care is definitely something that is unique to us.”

VEHICLE WRAPS
MOBILE WRAPS

Vehicle wraps and environmental graphics were already pretty sophisticated when Mobile Wraps owner Cody Albracht started his career almost 15 years ago. But since he launched his own business in 2020, the coloration and images have become even more impressive and the potential for new application continues to grow.
“As far as office privacy films, wall murals, and architectural films, we’re starting to get more of that, but commercial wraps are still our bread and butter,” Albracht said, adding that the company is highly certified and his team receives thorough training.
Mobile Wraps installs vehicle wraps for individual vehicles or entire fleets and from small personal vehicles to
commercial trucks and buses. The company also installs environmental graphics of all sizes—one recent project was 400 feet long—including interior and exterior wall murals, three-dimensional signage and contour-cut graphics, window and door graphics, banners, and decorative and privacy films. For one recent project, Albracht’s team even resurfaced a medical facility’s cabinets.
“People probably don’t know that we do that,” he said. “We’re still expanding.”

STORAGE UNITS Lisa Paladino
Dog lovers may recognize a bull mastiff in the Dino’s Storage logo, or they may have spotted an inflatable version (like the one she’s dubbed “Gino Paladino” pictured above) at one of the company’s two Lincoln locations, said owner Lisa Paladino. She and her late husband, Dave, who founded Dino’s in Omaha in 1998 and called bull mastiffs “the world’s greatest dogs,” loved the breed and supported their rescues for years.
“We had a bull mastiff, and he was our original inspiration for the logo,” Paladino said.
Now, Lincolnites are associating bull mastiffs with Dino’s climate-controlled storage units available at two locations. Clients’ belongings are protected from humidity and temperature fluctuations,
Paladino said, and several unit sizes are available to accommodate and protect everything from a few boxes of special keepsakes to a room’s worth of large furnishings. Clients can also expect to have access to a team member by phone or on site, which is becoming more unusual in the industry, she added.
“It’s that personal touch,” she said. “We’ll be there, we’ll talk to you.”

Dr. Emily Willett
ORTHODONTICS
LINCOLN ORTHODONTICS
Orthodontic care can do far more than straighten teeth. According to orthodontist Dr. Emily Willett, DDS, the benefits often extend to both overall health and confidence—and they can last a lifetime.
“Oral health impacts systemic health, and a relatively short period of orthodontic treatment can have long-term benefits,” Willett said. “Another universal benefit of orthodontics is confidence.”
One of the things she loves most about her work is that orthodontic care truly is for everyone. “It’s for anybody,” she said. “We have patients of every age, every decade, and every stage of life represented in the office.” Willett has led Lincoln Orthodontics for nearly 10 years after acquiring a long-established practice with a strong reputation in the community.
Building on that legacy has always been important to her. “Patients had been cared for very well for the 25-plus years before I came,” she said, “so it was important that we honored that while always striving to be better: better communication, better environment, better technology, and better treatment.”
Today, Willett combines experience with the latest advancements in orthodontic treatment, offering modern, customized care for every patient. At Lincoln Orthodontics, it is important that the team creates a welcoming environment
where patients feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.
“In every situation, we think about what we would do if we were talking to our own family: how we’d explain things, how we’d help them feel comfortable, and the results we’d want for them,” Willett said. “That mindset shapes everything we do, and I think it creates an authenticity that’s hard to replicate.”

he name “New Start” carries more than one meaning for CoCo Chairez, founder and owner of New Start Cleaning. It speaks to the fresh beginning a thorough deep clean can bring to a home. It also marks Chairez’s own leap into entrepreneurship in 2017. And it represents something deeper—a chance at empowerment for the women she employs who are working hard to build better lives.

New Start Cleaning offers regularly scheduled residential and commercial cleaning services as well as one-time services including deep cleanings and move-in/move-out cleanings.
Her dedicated team is highly trained, background-checked, and committed to delivering top-notch cleaning services.
“One of the reasons I wanted to do this was to help other women who have gone
through struggles,” Chairez said. “I want my Latino community to see me as an example of someone that did it, who was able to start a business—it’s okay to be a woman who is starting over.”
That commitment to her team goes beyond words. Chairez offers her cleaners above-average pay along with commission opportunities, and she’s actively exploring ways to support employees with transportation and childcare. She’s
equally intentional about the clients she takes on, seeking those who value doing business with a company grounded in compassion and who treat her team with genuine respect.

YOUTH OUTREACH PROGRAMS Matt Schulte YOUTH FOR CHRIST
T
he Lincoln chapter of Youth For Christ, a faith-based youth program for teens, has been around since 1969 but has shifted with the times, said executive director Matt Schulte. Four outreach programs are offered locally: Campus Life for high school and middle school youth; a Juvenile Justice Ministry; Parent Life for pregnant and parenting teens; and its newest program, Rebalance, which focuses on mental health.
“Mental health care and support is just such a strong need in our community,” Schulte said. The Rebalance program is open to all youth. Individuals can directly sign up for it or be referred by a counselor, court, or school. “We also have classes that are specifically for probation and diversion youth as well,” he said.
Rebalance helps youth develop resilience, social awareness, self-management and relationship skills. Schulte expressed how these skills are especially important in a time where social media can inhibit face-to-face interaction. Participants are self-reporting that the program is working: 80% say they have improved in relationship skills and over 90% report improvement in self-management, social awareness, and decision-making.
“It’s got solid results,” Schulte said.

David Duff of Farm Bureau Financial Services says his business has been built on being there from start to finish when his clients need him, and that means providing a level of conscientious service that results in customer satisfaction.
“Especially with the industry changing, it’s being in front, being able to help people with understanding their policy, how it works and what coverage they have,” he said. “Our office has a one-on-one approach with people that sets us apart. People understand their coverage, and they feel comfortable.”
A home is usually the most significant investment a person or couple makes in
their lifetime, Duff said, so not only do representatives make sure their clients have made the best coverage possible to meet their specific needs, they also provide outstanding service when a claim needs to be made. Plus, when big changes like remodels take place or new homes are purchased or built, they can always review existing coverage to ensure evolving needs are addressed and the latest options are considered.
“Good things are on the horizon,” Duff said.

CREDIT UNIONS

Cobalt Credit Union is founded on the credit union philosophy of people helping people. They are proudly rooted in serving military members and their families with organizations like Moving Veterans Forward.
CEO Robin Larsen has worked at Cobalt for 37 years and began in the banking industry when she was 16 years old. “It’s been amazing to witness the change from check cashing to technological advances. I recall when the first ATM launched in the early ’80s. I thought, who is going to use that? It’s vital to stay up on technology to stay ahead of the competition,” Larsen said.
Today, Cobalt blends technology and human service by offering digital tools
paired with real people such as their live chat, text, and video banking services. “We’ve seen a huge increase in members’ adoption of our new technology. Our online and mobile banking allows members to bank anytime, anywhere and removes geographic barriers.
“I lead with care. I demonstrate commitment to our employees and members through people-first service and focus on financial well-being and professional growth,” Larsen said.

HOME REMODELING
Vontz handles business development and Larson does design work and managing the project. Before they entered their business partnership together, Vontz’s background was in insurance, and Larson was in banking. Their backgrounds in customer service make them better communicators. “In remodeling, communication is so important. We pride ourselves on communicating with clients, giving them schedules and time frames,” Larson said.
“Our wheelhouse is larger complex remodels. They require a lot of engineering, technicality, and tradesmen. We have 3 carpenters on staff, so that helps us move projects quickly. We see ourselves as a go-to for someone looking for a bigger remodel that isn’t cookie-cutter,” Larson said.
“The best part is changing a space. You take someone’s vision of what they want to do and tear it apart and mold it into the new shape. At the end of the day, you give someone a space that gives them a brand-new feel and experience to their home,” Larson said.

Gaylene Steinbach says her chocolate shop is characterized by an incredible aroma of rich chocolate, buttery caramel, and seasonal flavors.
“From making ganaches that tempt you for a second (and maybe a third!), hand-painting the bonbons so they shine like gems, to smelling bubbling, buttery caramels, our kitchen is always in motion,” she said. “We love sharing that process with our customers.”
Steinbach started Lulubee Artisanal Chocolates in 2015 and has received industry recognition including honors from the International Chocolate Salon. “This past year also brought a
true pinch-me moment when we were one of 25 chocolatiers invited to collaborate on the sold-out Advent Calendar from Dandelion Chocolate, producing more than 25,000 bonbons in just 13 days.”
In 2025, her team celebrated the fifth anniversary of her brick-and-mortar store, a milestone made possible by what she calls her “incredibly supportive” community and customers that keep coming back for thoughtful gifting, consistently delicious chocolate, and a
friendly and knowledgeable team who’s happy to help.
“Whether you’re shopping for a gift or treating yourself, we want every visit to feel welcoming, joyful, and just a little magical,” Steinbach said.

COFFEE ROASTERS
THE COFFEE ROASTER

The name says it plainly. The Coffee Roaster, owned by Sam
and husband Vince Ruhl, has spent over 30 years sourcing, roasting, and sharing great coffee with the community.
The most notable change in recent years is how customers experience it. “We have a pour-over coffee bar now,” Karnes said. This allows customers to choose any coffee and have it brewed by the cup, creating a way to explore before taking a bag home. One of the most distinctive features of the space is the “sniffer wall,” an interactive display that lets you engage with each coffee before making a selection.
“The sniffer wall allows customers to walk along a wall and smell all the different coffee offerings that we have, which is not only a unique experience to the Nebraska coffee scene, but to the United States,” Ruhl said.
“You are working directly with our staff to select a coffee that you’re going to take home and brew,” Karnes said. It’s
an experience built around helping people find a coffee they’ll genuinely enjoy, with guidance from staff who know each one inside and out.

PEST CONTROL
GAHAN PEST
MANAGEMENT

When Joe Gahan set out to start his own pest management business after a decade working as a technician for a national brand, there were a few things he wanted to remove from the client experience: one-size-fits-all treatment solutions, impersonal service, and sluggish response times.
“I saw a much greater opportunity to build something the way I wanted it ran,” said Gahan, now in his fourth year operating Gahan Pest Management.
Gahan’s attention to detail and strong rapport with clients has earned him projects large and small—from working with international shipping companies to residential pest control.
“I won’t do any form of treatment until I identify the pest, and oftentimes that
involves a microscope or a hand lens,” Gahan said, revealing his lifelong love of entomology. “And I enjoy teaching clients, because they always want to know what it is and how it got there…I’m very educational in my approach.”
Common pests treated by Gahan Pest Management include termites, bed bugs, cockroaches, and mice with annual plans ensuring that once they’re removed, they don’t return. And while Gahan approaches treatment on a
case-by-case basis, his company is one of the few in Lincoln to offer “green solutions” for the health-conscious and environmentally inclined.
“We try to keep places pest-free rather than only being called when there’s an issue to fix,” Gahan said.

AUTOMOTIVE RESTYLING Robert Peinado

Celebrating 20 years in business, GP Customs has roared past the competition to become eastern Nebraska’s premier one-stop shop for tints, wraps, electronics, and more. From a one-man operation in 2006 to employing 13 industry professionals today, owner Robert Peinado believes that going the extra mile for his clients has fueled his success.
“We offer pickup and delivery service,” Peinado said, explaining that time and convenience are big factors for clientele.
“You realize they’re busy people…and that’s how we’ve been able to grow our business, by really catering to customers and making it easy for them to do business with us.”
And while it’s common to spot exotic vehicles—Lamborghinis, Ferraris,
McLarens—glistening with fresh vinyl and paint protection film outside his shop, Peinado emphasized that his business doesn’t exclusively cater to deep pockets.
“Our bread and butter is the Hondas, the Toyotas,” he said. “And you don’t only have to come in for a big job. You can come in to get your car detailed, or your wheels painted black—we do small jobs every day.”
With GP Customs, automotive restyling in Lincoln has never looked this good, and it’s never been easier.

RUNNING STORES
Lori Borer FLEET FEET
Lori Borer, owner of Fleet Feet Lincoln and Omaha stores, has been a runner her whole life. She understands the importance of running shoes that fit. “If your feet hurt, you don’t want to move. We really take that seriously. I make sure my staff is trained well and educated,” Borer said.
“We fit our customers with ‘Fit ID.’ We take a 3D picture of their foot that shows the size, width, volume, and heel size. Our staff knows the shoes well, so when we look at the shape of their feet, we can show them the best shoes for them. We also consider if they have an injury or a race coming up,” Borer added. All these aspects help the Fleet Feet staff make the best shoe suggestions for their customers.
“Being able to help people that are looking to improve their running is rewarding to me,” Borer said.
Fleet Feet is active in the community with many events. They have four group runs per week and one walk night per week that are all free.

COMMERCIAL ROOFING

Billy Hirschman developed a strong work ethic on his family’s farm near Hartington, Neb. His career in roofing began when he was in his 20s, and he and his wife, Taylor, started H&H Roofing in 2015. The company grew steadily, and Billy changed the name to H&H Exteriors in 2025.
“Customers wanted us to do siding and gutters and even windows because of the quality of our workmanship,” Billy explained. “In this business, you have to be able to take on a storm damage claim from a high windstorm or a hailstorm or a tornado, and you need to be able to do more than just a roof. At the end of
the day, we want to be able to cover and take care of people all the way around the house, not just on top.”
With offices in Valley, Lincoln, and Columbus, H&H Exteriors has established a solid customer base that includes city-dwellers as well as farmers.
Billy credits the company’s success to great workmanship, integrity, and a simple, customer-friendly process for doing business.

Wendy Weber
SMITH & COMB HAIR SALONS
For Wendy Weber, hair has never been just a job—it’s been a nearly 25-year career defined by creativity, connection, and an evolving vision of the industry. Today, that vision is shaping a quiet revolution in Lincoln.
After earning her cosmetology license from the College of Hair Design, Weber moved to Denver, where she immersed herself in a dynamic hair scene, cultivated a loyal clientele, and opened her first salon in 2016. Returning to Nebraska in 2019, she recognized an opportunity to reimagine the local salon experience. In August 2024, Weber introduced Smith & Comb, a hybrid salon and barbershop across from University
of Nebraska–Lincoln East Campus. Its defining feature is a progressive, gender-free pricing model.
“Why should a short haircut cost more because I am female?” Weber said. “We price services based on hair length, time, and skill—not gender.” Guests can easily book appointments online, making the experience convenient for busy students, families, and professionals.
Weber built a team that shares her philosophy: talented professionals committed to making every guest feel comfortable, respected, and seen. “Our reviews describe us as welcoming, friendly, and inclusive,” Weber said. “That’s exactly what I wanted.”

Walk into The Charging Station and you’ll find a menu of premium coffees and teas alongside made-to-order food served all day—from burritos and bowls to pastries, sandwiches, and fresh greens. But for owner Michele Mower, who runs the business with Felicia Mendoza, the offerings are only part of the story.
“It’s bigger than coffee and tea,” Mower said. “The Charging Station is a neighborhood. It’s communal. It’s community-driven—an elevated coffeehouse experience North Lincoln hasn’t seen before.”
Rooted in Havelock’s historic district, the space blends natural wood, exposed brick, and open beams with a warm, intentional feel. Every detail reflects
Mower’s vision: a place where people stay, connect, and feel community. With a background in leadership and operations, Mower leads with a people-first approach that shapes both the guest experience and team culture.
“We lead with heart,” she said. “I want people to feel seen, supported, and valued.” That vision drives everything

Photographer Kathy Plunkett’s business logo includes a smiley face, which is an apt reflection of her spirit of positivity.
“No matter what the project, it will always be fun,” she said. “I am flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to meet the client’s needs.”
Plunkett is a versatile freelance photographer specializing in commercial and editorial photography for clients ranging from local businesses and nonprofits to national and international publications

Plunkett’s tagline, “Telling stories one snap at a time,” speaks to the heart of her philosophy.
“I tell stories through portraits and images of people interacting together,” she said. “While on a commercial shoot, it is important to me that I promote a company’s brand, not my own. Images should be unique and not just a copy of what everyone else is doing.”

ustomers can trust SuperGlass Nebraska Windshield Repair to have their best interest at heart, owner Boyd Baillie said.
“SuperGlass earned the 2023 Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics, which recognizes local organizations’ outstanding ethical practices and commitment to character, culture, customers and community,” he said. “We were recognized for setting new standards of excellence as we strive to become the trusted choice for individuals and businesses seeking fast, reliable, and cost-effective windshield repair solutions.”
The company’s focus on chip and crack repair rather than full windshield replacement not only saves customers time and money, but also helps SuperGlass provide consistently better repairs than the competition, Baillie said, saving customers from needlessly replacing a windshield.
“This also maintains safety by preserving the manufacturer’s original seal,” he said.
Mobile service means technicians come directly to the client’s vehicle— which can be parked at home or their workplace—making windshield repair service both efficient and convenient.
“SuperGlass is a preferred provider for most insurance companies, and many rock chip repairs are free with insurance approval,” he said.

TACOS LOS HERMANOS MEXICAN CUISINE Agustin Sanchez
Tacos Los Hermanos translates from Spanish as “the brothers’ tacos,” reflecting its origins, owner Agustin Sanchez said.
“We started a business together in Grand Island, me and my brother,” he explained. “We expanded to Lincoln. He runs the one in Grand Island, and I run the one in Lincoln.”
The Lincoln location has been going strong since its 2024 opening in the historic Havelock neighborhood, and Sanchez said that from the first glance,
his taqueria stands out from other restaurants that serve Mexican fare.
“My colors are different, lime green with hot pink. And then we have arches that go in the middle of the restaurant, kind of like a rainbow,” he said. “We have a paleteria, which is like an ice cream shop, so after you’re done eating, you can get some ice cream, some fruit cups, or some strawberries and cream.”
The salsa bar, Sanchez added, is probably the biggest differentiator. “We have different toppings for your tacos: onions, cilantro, lime, we have chips,” he said. “Pretty much any toppings you want.”

REGA Engineering’s core values—relationships, effectiveness, growth, accountability—reflect the letters of the firm’s name, said President Nate Burnett, PE, but those four words also nicely summarize why the company has steadily expanded to a team of 20 with more than 3,000 projects completed since the firm began in 2003.
“I think it’s our responsiveness and our ability to tailor solutions to clients’ needs,” Burnett said, adding that the firm welcomed Director of Operations Bethany Colson and Finance and Marketing Coordinator Andy Eschliman last year to support and cultivate ongoing growth. “Bringing those two on helps continue to streamline our effectiveness
so we can continue to maintain and expand our relationships internally and with our clients as well.”
Over the last 23 years, REGA has become a highly regarded provider of civil engineering, planning, surveying and landscape architecture services. Recently, the firm has been part of
several affordable housing projects including Downtown Lincoln’s Union at Antelope Valley, which welcomed its first tenants in 2025, and a related Omaha community, Central at Columbus Park, that broke ground in January.

atalie Leon, MHA, the owner and executive director of Visiting Angels, said families choose her company’s home care services for many reasons from thoughtful client/caregiver matches to transparency.
“Visiting Angels helps older adults stay in their own home safely and comfortably while getting the extra support they need. Our caregivers assist with everyday tasks like bathing, getting dressed, preparing meals, medication reminders, mobility assistance, homemaker services, and simply being there for companionship,” she said. “Our goal is to help their adults remain independent while also giving families peace of mind knowing that their loved one is truly being cared for.” Visiting Angels also assist
with homemaker tasks that help older adults remain safe and comfortable in their homes.
Families have even come to love Zeke, who served as a pet therapy dog and brought comfort to many clients and community partners. Though he is now retired, Leon said, “He has become something of a Visiting Angels mascot and still visits a few clients and communities from time to time.”
With over 20 years of caregiving experience, Leon not only emphasizes
educating families on understanding aging, available resources, and care options for seniors, but she also teaches an introductory gerontology course at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Nebraska-based CharterWest Bank Mortgage Center is big enough to meet your needs, but still small enough to know your name. Their pre-qualification, approval, and closing times are among the fastest in the industry.
“2026 is going to be a strong and stable year for real estate. If you’ve been contemplating if purchasing a home is right for you, I highly encourage you to start the conversations and get educated on what buying or selling in 2026 looks like for you,” said Senior Mortgage Advisor Jessica Thomas, AVP.
Thomas said she brings a personal touch to her work. “Clients and referral partners appreciate the level of communication throughout the process. I take a very analytical approach when working with clients to ensure we are identifying loan programs that fit within their financial goals of homeownership,” she explained. “Education is also so crucial throughout the home buying process. As one of the
biggest financial purchases folks make, it’s imperative they understand the details of the programs they are qualifying for.”

Rick Williamson
DENTAL CONSULTANTS & EXPERT WITNESSES
RICHARD A. WILLIAMSON, LLC
B
oard-certified prosthodontist Rick Williamson, DDS, MS, FICD, FACP, has been a dentist for 46 years with 29 years in academics and 17 years in private general practice. His credentials are impressive, but his other work is truly unique.
“My legal consulting business provides expert witness services for dental malpractice claims representing both patients and dentists,” he said. “I know hundreds of other dentists, but I don’t know anyone who does this.”
Williamson’s advanced expertise in diagnosing, restoring, and rehabilitating complex dental conditions prepared him to accurately assess standards of care, treatment planning, biomechanics, and long-term outcomes in malpractice disputes. He explains complex clinical issues in accessible terms for attorneys, judges, and juries.
“My role is not to advocate for either side, but to illuminate the facts. I offer clear, defensible, and evidence-based opinions that help uncover the truth in every case,” he said, adding that a quote by Abraham Lincoln guides his practice: “Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it.”

It’s not surprising that a former Marine like Apogee Lawns President Josh Cheney emphasizes respect and precision. His crews pay attention to the details and take pride in their work, meaning clients see a tidy lawn surrounding their home without any mess left behind.
“I want a ‘wow’ factor,” Cheney said. “But I don’t want them to see a gate left open, or grass all over the driveway or blown up on the porch.”
Cheney said that he leads his company with an emphasis on availability and communication—making sure calls are returned, questions answered, and
concerns addressed—and he strives to personally get to know his clients. Apogee provides standard lawn services primarily for residential customers with homeowners associations as a special niche.
“Our main focus is mowing, fertilization, aeration, and landscape maintenance,” Cheney said.
The company also provides a secondary service during the cold weather months: holiday lighting.
“We also offer permanent holiday lighting as well as your traditional holiday lighting where we will put them up, take them down, and store them,” he said.

MEDICAL STAFFING Samantha McAtee CAPITAL CARE STAFFING
CEO Samantha McAtee founded Capital Care Staffing with a mission to not only provide compassionate and high-quality nursing staff to facilities, but also to promote environments where nurses are supported through continued education, professional accountability, and a commitment to safe and respectful care.
Her own 20 years of health care experience gives McAtee a special understanding of the industry, but Capital Care is also unique in both its focus and flexibility, she said.
“We wanted to stay in our state only; we are here to help our communities in Nebraska,” she explained. “We staff

Capital Care Staffing’s core values include commitment, community, compassion, professionalism, and teamwork.
“Ultimately we are here to support people and not just fill shifts,” McAtee said.

Sunrooms are designed to maximize natural light and provide views of the outdoors while offering protection from bugs, rain, wind, dirt, and cold. Remodel Nebraska president Jack Rediger said sunrooms blur the line between outdoors and indoor. “Some people are looking for a three-season room, which is so much more usable over a deck,” he said. “It’s flexible to provide that outdoor feeling with some control over the weather. Other customers are looking for our exclusive year-round room which is energy-efficient enough to fully open your new space to your home allowing full comfort, no matter the weather.”
Remodel Nebraska can design a custom space to fit your needs, and with new innovations in the industry, you can choose from models that are remarkably
