Drivers also determine and attempt to correct vehicle problems (i. E, changes tires, boost starts, provides lock out service, and possible battery service, etc.) and tow vehicles, following specific instructions from the tow manual, when the vehicle cannot be started or is unsafe to drive. Drivers maintain tow trucks and service vans and provide tow truck and light duty support for special projects. Full-time Service Vehicle Operators enjoy a comprehensive benefit package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life and disability plans, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan and annual corporate incentive bonus, if applicable. JOB REQUIREMENTS A clean driving record and possession of a valid Nebraska driver’s license is required. Prior towing, automobile maintenance and customer service experience preferred. Ability to locate street numbers and intersections within an acceptable time limit, successfully complete drug screening and DOT health screen, read and follow instructions in a tow manual, complete simple reports, keep equipment clean and orderly, communicate effectively with the public, safely operate a motor vehicle in order to provide emergency road service to AAA members, employees, and other motorists, and perform basic mathematic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Willingness to work irregular hours and in adverse weather conditions. Mechanical aptitude and experience is preferred.
