History of Olivet University

Olivet University is a private Christian institution founded to prepare students for ministry, leadership, and lifelong service. Since its inception in 2000 as Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS), the university has focused on equipping believers with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual foundation necessary to share the gospel and serve communities worldwide. OTCS began with a mission to support ministry-bound students through diverse study programs and distance learning opportunities, laying the groundwork for what would become a global institution of biblical higher education. In 2004, under the vision and guidance of the late Dr. Ralph D. Winter, Olivet University was officially established. The goal was to create a place where faith, scholarship, and practical ministry training could be unified. Guided by this mission, Olivet University continues to raise a new generation of leaders who embody both academic excellence and a deep commitment to Christian service.
