Check

The outdoor safety system for everyone

Check oint

Checkpoint, is a tracking system comprised of a network of stationary hubs located in remote locations over small or large areas and an ID tag which the user carries with them.

As the user passes one of the hubs their ID tag is automatically scanned and securely relayed to a central online database. This database logs the users progress and can allow someone to track the user. This can ensure that they are safe if they out on their own or get separated from their group. It could also be used in the event of an emergency to allow for search and rescue teams to more accurately narrow down the users location, reducing search times and the strain of rescue teams.

Key Features:

10hr recharge time for the remote hubs from 0% - 100% on the solar power alone

100m SOS range to hub

Bluetooth connectivity between devices and tags

Key Benefts:

Lack of signal

In some locations makes it hard for people to get emergency help when they need it the most

Reduced search area

when looking for an individual can greatly reduce the time of a rescue allowing help to reach the individual faster

Live updates

To your partners and friends on your recent locations and progress so you can always have someone watching over you

Required to make the system work

Online Interface:

Current product costs have been calculated to:

£4.99 Tags

The one off cost to the user

£90 Hubs

Cost of individual hub to consumer

Future Prospect:

This product was created with the intention of making outdoor pursuits safer and more accessible with the main focus on hiking.

However having looked at all of the technology involved the potential for expansion into other sectors their is the ability to adapt the product to work over larger areas and in more remote locations such as mountainous regions for back country skiing, farming livestock tracking and in automotive for vehicle tracking in production or racing.

My current plans are to keep developing this product with the potential of implementation on a small scale to demonstrate the working practice.
