Because the life , reputation and future o f a new school depends so much on its first Principal, Good Counsel has been extrem ely fortunate.

Walking through the school, waving his right hand,

flashing a broad sm ile, Brother Mark has brightened the days of every student. He has guided Good Counsel

from

the

days when it was little more than bricks, through the years when it underwent

growth in a ll aspects, till today when it boasts a reputation extraordinary for a young school. Recognizing his ability, the Archbishop appointed Brother Mark to the first Archdiocesan Board of Education. Recognizing his influence, the school named the award for the most improved student in his honor. Truly, Brother Mark has been an inspiration. We dedicate our School Magazine to him .

STUDENT ACTIVITIES COUNCIL T his year has been one o f growth for SAC.

T o provide a

foundation for a ll its a c tiv itie s and to insure clo se co n ta ct with the hom eroom , SAC to tally revised its constitution, established an A ctiv ities C o m m ittee, and set a sp e cific day and form for the hom eroom m eetings, At sev eral school assem blies the SAC o fficers reported to the student body, and the T alo n began publishing c o n densed minutes o f the le g is la tive m eetings. Besides accom plish ing these fundam ental goals, SAC engaged in many other fields. It sponsored a highly successful' school M agazine drive. During this drive, over five-hundred students subscribed, m any v o lunteered to work, and the school started to produce its first m agazin e.
