THE PLATEAU

APRIL | 2026

A Letter from Kevin Cohrs

As we move through the first part of the year, it’s been great to see the continued energy and momentum around the club. Member participation has been strong, and we’ve welcomed a number of new faces to the community. To those who have recently joined, welcome! We’re excited to have you here and look forward to getting to know you in the months ahead.

With a full calendar of events ahead, we encourage you to RSVP through the Member Hub - whenever possible. Doing so helps our team plan accordingly and ensures the best experience for everyone.

One of our favorite traditions, Friday Night Live, continues this season. It’s the perfect way to unwind and connect with fellow members. We hope you’ll join us on Friday, April 10th, featuring local artist Jonathan Sherrill, and continue to be part of these great evenings throughout the spring and summer. Our new Food & Beverage Manager, Robert, is already bringing fresh ideas and energy to the operation, and we’re excited for what’s ahead, especially with his strong wine background.

Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to build a strong and dedicated team. Please join us in welcoming our new Sous Chef, Prince Metho, who joins us from Newcastle and brings a strong culinary background to support the team.

We also have several projects underway as we prepare for the months ahead. The Rec Center is getting some updates, including the addition of a new leg press machine, and new pool lounge chairs just in time for summer!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and involvement. We’re looking forward to a fantastic season ahead and hope to see you around the club soon.

With gratitude,

GOLF

Words From The Shop

As we move past spring aerification and see the course coming into great shape, one of the most exciting times of the year is officially here. With The Masters right around the corner, it’s safe to say spring has arrived, and so has a full calendar of golf at the club.

Our PMGA is already in full swing, and it’s been great to see such strong participation early in the season. We’re also looking forward to kicking off the PWGA this month. Another sure sign of the season ramping up is the expanded tee sheet. Tee times will now begin at 7:30 AM, with the final tee time continuing to move later as we gain more daylight.

Junior golf is back as well, with our PGA Junior League getting underway. Practices will be held on Wednesdays, and please note that portions of the practice facility will be intermittently closed in the afternoons during these sessions.

General

Keeper of the Greens

As we begin the month of April, our aerification process on the course is getting closer to being wrapped up. We didn’t get as early as a start as I was hoping that we would, as winter just didn’t appear ready to give up its hold to spring just quite yet.

After two beautiful days to start the month, March brought us 2 and a half straight weeks of rain totaling more than 7 inches as well as a weekend of 4+ inches of snow. We finally did catch our break in the weather though and were able to get quite a lot punched and sanded as well as getting some mowers out into our rough and fairways. Being so long since we had been able to get our mowers out, I will admit that things are quite a bit messy out there between the clippings and the mud pulled up in a few of those spots that were still pretty wet and soft. This will be cleaned up, and once we are through with our aerification, you can expect us to be on our regular routine of keeping things trimmed and cleaned on a regular basis.

I appreciate your patience while we are in this brief transitional phase. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing more of you out enjoying the course.

Yoga classes will remain temporarily paused until she is able to return or until we are able to secure a substitute instructor. We appreciate your understanding and will keep members updated.

In the meantime, we encourage you to stay active with lap swim, the fitness center, or a game of pickleball.

Pool Updates

Spring has arrived, and the pool remains a warm 84°F! Thanks to our ongoing partnership with IST, members can continue to enjoy swimming year-round.

While we faced a few unexpected weather and mechanical challenges in March, we have successfully repaired the variable speed drive and other key components. These recent upgrades are already improving performance and comfort as we gear up for a busy summer season.

· Lap Swim: Monday–Friday 7–11 AM, Sunday 9–11 AM

· Weekend Open Swim: Saturday & Sunday 12–4 PM

Weather Reminder: Spring weather can still be unpredictable. In the event of lightning, heavy rain, or unsafe conditions, the pool may temporarily close and will reopen once it is safe to do so

Swim Lessons - Spring Planning

Spring swim lessons are just around the corner! As temperatures warm and schedules open up, we’ll be preparing to bring lessons back for the season.

Lessons are a great way for swimmers to:

· Build confidence in the water
