OKFB YF&R committee raises $13,000 for foundation at annual shotgun shoot fundraiser in Guthrie he Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers raised $13,000 to support the activities of the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture through the committee’s annual shotgun shoot fundraiser held at Silverleaf Shotgun Sports near Guthrie Friday, Aug. 21. More than 200 shooters spanning 57 registered teams participated in the annual event, which featured a sporting clays-style shoot across two unique courses that tested the competitors’ skills at hitting targets in situations that mimic real-life hunting scenarios. Prizes were awarded to both teams and individual shooters across open, collegiate and youth divisions. The top teams in the competition’s three divisions were:
First place: Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma Second Place: Pontotoc County Farm Bureau Third Place: Vici FFA The top individual shooters were also recognized in the three divisions, which were Luke Mohr in the open division, Hunter Miller in the collegiate division and Dason Harmon in the youth division.

The event was sponsored by numerous companies, individuals and county Farm Bureaus. Title sponsors for the event included Beck’s Farm Equipment, RB Global/IAA, Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma, VonTungeln Farms, OKFB Insurance, Tulsa County Farm Bureau, Rogers County Farm Bureau, Payne County Farm Bureau, Pottawatomie County Farm Bureau, Pontotoc County Farm Bureau and Oklahoma County Farm Bureau. The funds raised during the shotgun shoot will support the work of the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture, which promotes agricultural literacy and awareness in addition to supporting Oklahoma’s agriculture community through numerous program, grants and projects.
