klahoma Farm Bureau will kick of its 2024 grassroots policy development season with the organization’s annual August Area Meetings, which will be held across the state throughout the month from August 1 to August 29. Eleven meetings will be held across OKFB’s nine districts for OKFB members to discuss the issues, challenges and opportunities facing farmers, ranchers, the agricultural industry and rural Oklahoma. The discussions will serve as a springboard for OKFB members to create and draft resolutions to update the organization’s policy positions. The resolutions will be considered through OKFB’s grassroots policy development process beginning at the county Farm

The meetings also provide an opportunity for OKFB members to learn about the wide-ranging work of the state’s largest general farm organization, including updates on programs from the Women’s Leadership Committee to the Young Farmers and Ranchers and from rural development initiatives to organizational outreach programs. OKFB staff will also be on-hand to share updates and answer questions about the organization’s activities. Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m., and a meal will be provided.
