OUR MISSION
The mission of Ogden Museum of Southern Art is to broaden the knowledge, understanding, interpretation and appreciation of the visual arts and culture of the American South through events, permanent collection, changing exhibitions, educational programs, publications and research.
ACCESSIBILITY

THE UNENDING STREAM (FLOOR 3)
The Unending Stream is a two-part exhibition that showcases the thriving community of photographers in New Orleans. The title of the exhibition pays homage to a Clarence John Laughlin photograph of the same title, which is a part of the permanent collection at Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

HOA TAY (FLOWER HANDS) (FLOOR 4)
Hoa Tay (Flower Hands), is an exhibition which centers emerging and established Vietnamese-American artists working throughout the American South. These artists use diverse media and styles to forge their own distinctive vision, conveying narratives of the Vietnamese Diaspora, both personal and universal.

LOUISIANA CONTEMPORARY 2025 PRESENTED BY THE HELIS FOUNDATION (FLOOR 4)
Ogden Museum of Southern Art first launched Louisiana Contemporary, presented by The Helis Foundation in 2012, as an annual survey exhibition that would bring to the fore the work of artists living in Louisiana and highlight the dynamism of art practice throughout the state. This years exhibition features 53 works by 50 artists.

LOOKING BACK: HURRICANE KATRINA AT 20
To mark the 20th anniversary of this historic event, Ogden Museum of Southern Art presents the work of six artists that directly address the storm, its devastation and the resiliency of the people impacted. Through their practice, these artists bore witness to both the physical and psychological damage wrought by the storm. They crafted complex narratives, built monuments to resiliency and offered prayers for recovery.

COMING SOON RAVEN HALFMOON: FLAGS OF OUR MOTHERS
Raven Halfmoon: Flags of Our Mothers features new and recent works made over the last five years. Commissioned by The Aldrich and Bemis Center, the exhibition debuts Halfmoon’s largest works to date. The title of the exhibition is a tribute to the matriarchs in her life and all the Indigenous women, who over many centuries have created and endured, keeping their stories and traditions present, active and alive.
