ith the theme “Grateful Hearts: A Celebration of God's Boundless Love," 307 Grade 10 Bridgetines celebrated their accomplishments in the Moving Up ceremony held at SBC Manuela Q. Pastor Auditorium, June 16. With Highest Honors was garnered solely by Edrielle R. Cueto. Forty-six (46) completers were acknowledged with High Honors, while 53 students were recognized With Honors. There were 100 Academic Awardees for SY 2022-2023. Furthermore, 117 Bridgetines had been presented with Non-Academic Awards, which were also recognized onstage. Meanwhile, in his farewell address, Cueto conveyed his experiences as a Bridgetine and the importance of believing in oneself. “I am here to tell you, as cliché as it may sound, you are the protagonist of your tale. From my personal experience, it is far more difficult to overcome life's obstacles when you're unable to accept who you are or lack the tiniest bit of belief in your abilities, longings, or dreams. Nothing can go wrong when you have a heart of steel,” he professed. Employees of IBED were also acknowledged for their years of service. Ms. Mara Jean C. Delocado, Mrs. Tessa Marie C. Dulay, Mrs. Sheryl I. Garcia, and Mrs. Gracielle E. Manongsong received certificates of appreciation for their 10 years of service. Plaques of appreciation were given to Mrs. Jesabel A. Medina for 20 years of service and to Mrs. Rosa C. Balmes for her 23 years as staff. Mrs. Marieta J. Suarez likewise was recognized for her 40 years of invaluable contribution to the attainment of the educational philosophy of the institution. Dr. Sacorro Comia, Curriculum Implementation Division Chief of the Division of Batangas City, confirmed the completers after the endorsement made by the Integrated Basic Education (IBED) Principal, Mrs. Bernadette I. Manalo.

Thank your teachers, sisters, parents, classmates, and friends,” he said in his homily. In her message, Sr. Ma. Añanita Borbon, RGS, PhD., the college president, recognized the guidance of the parents, teachers, and friends in completing the students’ JHS journey whilst also congratulating the JHS passers. “They [the students and their achievements] are the concrete manifestation of God’s boundless love for you and your family, which is a great reason to be grateful. Your achievement as a student is not only your diploma that you are about to receive or the medals you have received. The most important thing in our lives is the capacity to live life to the fullest. With much joy, with much happiness, and with much gratitude,” she claimed. The ceremony ended with the Moving Up theme song “Moving On, Moving Up” and the SBC Hymn, which Mr. Rafael Aquino Hagos and the Red Batch completers performed.
SBC commemorates its 110th Foundation Day FAMOUS D. PANGANIBAN

s students, faculty, staff, and alumni honored the school’s 10th Foundation Day with the theme “Nurturing, Exciting, and World-embracing SBC,” the SBC gymnasium housed the excitement of Bridgetines, Feb. 1. In line with this, a sneak preview of a reimagined facade of the school was shown while waiting for the program to begin. As a result, many students and faculty members look forward to the school's new look soon. Fr. Angel Pastor, parish priest of the Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion and an alumnus, officiated the Eucharistic celebration. In his homily, he highlighted the transformation of SBC, and emphasized the importance of being being grateful for the blessings bestowed upon the school. The Repertory Brigid opened the event through a performance in their blue and white outfits to honor the school. As their performance progressed, the audience began to feel their excitement. Following that, selected students, starting from the elementary level, demonstrated their talents to keep the audience engaged. For the junior high school level, Grade 10 Representative Julia Isabel D. Mitra delivered a spoken poetry to honor and appreciate the school, teachers, and staff. Soon after, St. Bridget College Alitagtag gave a truly outstanding performance with their singing. The crowd began cheering loudly for them as they finished the songs because of their vocal ability. The alumni from a different school also took advantage of the opportunity to showcase their abilities with a graceful ballet dance.

I believe there will be several adjustments for the school to align with recent developments and versions that fit the students' lifestyles.”
SPORTS Phnom Penh Prepares to Host ASEAN Para Games and Southeast Asian Games in 2023 The ASEAN Para Games is a multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities from Southeast Asia. It is held every two years, and the upcoming 12th ASEAN Para Games will take place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from June 3 to 9, 2023. This will be the first time that Cambodia hosts the event, which is governed by the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF). The 2023 ASEAN Para Games is being celebrated under the theme of "Sport: Live in Peace," which highlights how peace has played a crucial role in Cambodia's transformation. The event is expected to attract over 2,000 paraathletes across 40 sports.
