Fellow Bruins,

What a year it has been for the Bruins! As Belmont wraps up its fourth year in the Missouri Valley Conference, I feel more confident in our position as members of the Valley than ever before. As is customary in our industry, college athletics never fails to produce highs and lows as our story unfolds each year. I’m exceedingly proud of the work our student-athletes, coaches and administration put in each day to help write that year-long story. We’ve hoisted championship trophies, fought through adversity, navigated change, welcomed former legends home, and ultimately celebrated a strong year of progress as Bruins.
With any year in college athletics, there are challenges and obstacles to overcome. Coach and roster attrition, as well as the seemingly unending need for new revenue, can be unnerving. But Belmont has never been an institution to back down from a fight. And while the task at hand is a daunting one, it’s one we
are prepared to take on and one we intend to win…because a true Bruin is never out of the fight. And that’s the attitude we bring to the field, to the classroom, and to the office each day at Belmont. One that refuses to quit.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for your unwavering commitment to Belmont Athletics. In a time that has tested all of us — our studentathletes, coaches, and the broader university community — your support has remained constant and deeply meaningful. Whether through your financial contributions, your presence at games, or your encouragement from afar, you have played a vital role in sustaining the spirit and strength of our programs.
Despite the challenges facing our industry, I’m excited about our future. I hope you take time to read through this guide, making a point to appreciate the dedication and sacrifice it has taken for our student-athletes and coaches to earn the
accolades and accomplishments laid out in the pages ahead. Lastly, I hope it makes you even more proud to be a Bruin. I know I am…now, more than ever! Go Bruins!

Vice President & Director of Athletics

On March 19, 2026, Evan Bradds was named the 11th head coach of the Belmont Men’s Basketball program. Bradds played basketball at Belmont under Head Coach Rick Byrd from 2013-2017 where he won back-to-back OVC Player of the Year awards and became Belmont’s all-time scoring leader in the NCAA DI era. Bradds is among the greatest players in Belmont University and Ohio Valley Conference history, and he previously served as an assistant coach for the 2026 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, Duke, where he acted primarily as the team’s offensive coordinator, leading them to the 2026 Elite Eight and helped develop a litany of future NBA talent including the 2026 National Player of the Year, Cameron Boozer. He also spent time as an assistant coach in the NBA, working with the Utah Jazz for three years and the Boston Celtics for five years where he worked closely with Brad Stevens.
“Becoming the next head coach at Belmont — a university and program that has played such a huge role in my life — is truly surreal,” Bradds said. “Belmont is a special place, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to return and lead our men’s basketball program. I would like to thank Dr. Greg Jones and Scott Corley for the confidence and trust they have shown me. I would also like to thank Coach Byrd and my former teammates for playing a big part in making this dream a reality. It means the world to me and my family, and we can’t wait to get started. Go Bruins!”

We are excited to continue the “Platinum Bruins” trip tradition by offering this exclusive experience for donors at the $10,000 annual level and above. This opportunity allows participants to travel with our men’s basketball program to an upcoming away game this season and includes unique opportunities to interact with the team and new Head Coach Evan Bradds.

Last year’s trip featured an incredible visit to Charleston, South Carolina, where Belmont supporters watched the Bruins defeat the College of Charleston Cougars, 96–73.
Each trip includes travel with the team, lodging at the team hotel, and the opportunity to attend practice, shootarounds, and film breakdown sessions. The experience also features a private dinner with the Belmont men’s basketball team coaching staff, and athletics administration. Previous destinations and opponents have included the University of Richmond (Richmond), the University of Arizona (Tucson), LSU (Baton Rouge), and UCLA (Los Angeles).

Belmont’s Athletic Excellence Initiative fund continues to serve as the primary vehicle for high-level, unrestricted giving to Belmont Athletics.
Upon its creation in July 2022 as Belmont joined the Missouri Valley Conference, the Athletic Excellence Initiative received more than $7 million in support to help assist with the increased financial commitments associated with Belmont’s transition to the Valley over a five-year period.
With Belmont now firmly entrenched as a marquee member of the MVC, the fund continues to be utilized to enhance the studentathlete experience at Belmont. Last year, with student-athlete revenue sharing coming in-

We must increase our philanthropic aspirations in strategic areas that are critical components of athletic success and student-athlete development. As such, Belmont Athletics seeks highly motivated individuals to help take our athletic programs and student-athletes to unprecedented heights as we continue to grow the Athletic Excellence Initiative fund.

We are excited to announce another successful fiscal year, which saw us raise $3,098,635 in support of Belmont Athletics (Belmont reports dollars raised, which reflects all new gifts and pledges). The standard for excellence at Belmont continues to be elevated thanks in large part to individuals and families like yours who go the extra mile to provide for Belmont’s student-athletes. We cannot say thank you loud or often enough. Our ultimate goal is to eclipse $5 million annually to Belmont Athletics by 2028, with more than 1,000 annual Bruin Club members.

Softball pitcher Maya Johnson represents the very best of what it means to be a Belmont student-athlete. Throughout her remarkable career, Johnson overcame significant adversity, including health challenges related to lupus. In her four years at Belmont, she became one of the most decorated studentathletes in school history while also excelling academically, earning MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in back-toback seasons. Johnson also helped lead Belmont Softball to unprecedented team success, including the program’s first MVC Tournament Championships in 2025 and 2026 and its first MVC Regular Season Championship in 2026. She guided the Bruins to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history and helped Belmont earn its first NCAA Tournament victories in both 2025 and 2026. In 2026, she played a pivotal role in securing the first two ranked victories in program history over #15 Georgia and #18 Mississippi State, throwing complete games in both historic wins.

Thanks to the generous support of donors to the Betty Wiseman Mission Fund, Belmont Athletics was able to host their biggest mission trip ever taken! These amazing trips — led by Dr. Ryan Neises, Director of Student-Athlete Formation – make lasting impacts on our student-athletes,
coaches, and staff, helping them grow both personally and spiritually. Over spring break, we hosted 32 participants from women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s soccer, and track & field on a trip back to Costa Rica. This marks the fourth time that Belmont has worked with Young Life Costa Rica.

During their time in Costa Rica, the group worked on projects around the Young Life property, helped with relational ministry across the country, and participated in a soccer tournament that gathered kids to play and connect.

In conjunction with the NCAA’s Civic Engagement Day, Belmont Athletics partnered with the Tennessee Alliance for Kids to host a TAK PAK Party, where student-athletes, coaches, and staff packed backpacks with essential items for children in the Nashville community.
This winter, Belmont’s men’s and women’s basketball teams partnered with Black Lemonade to spread Christmas cheer to 30 Nashville-area children, giving them time with student-athletes and the opportunity to shop for gifts for themselves and their families.
Belmont’s volleyball, cheerleading, and men’s tennis teams partnered with Team IMPACT this past school year. Team IMPACT matches children who are facing serious illnesses and disabilities with college sports teams to create a long-term and life-changing experience for all involved.

Belmont Athletics announced on September 10, 2025, the addition of STUNT as its NCAA-sponsored varsity sport, marking the University’s first new sport in more than 25 years. STUNT is a head-to-head competition that highlights the athleticism, precision, and technical skill of cheer. Competitions are structured into four quarters, with teams performing short routines in four categories: partner stunts, pyramids and tosses, jumps and tumbling, and a team routine.

On November 5, 2025, Jessica Woody was announced as the first head coach for Belmont STUNT. Jessica has been serving as the head coach of Belmont cheerleading since August of 2023, leading Belmont to two top 10 finishes. Prior to Belmont, Jessica helped revolutionize the UT Martin Skyhawk cheer program and start the Skyhawk dance team. She has more than two decades of competitive cheerleading experience including her own cheerleading career at Martin Methodist College. Jessica is excited to start this new era of Belmont STUNT and looks forward to what she and her team can do!
STUNT will launch as a spring sport in 2027 and is expected to carry a roster of 20–30 student-athletes. As one of the fastest-growing women’s sports in the United States, STUNT expands competitive opportunities while continuing Belmont’s commitment to excellence and growth in athletics.

On February 10, 2026, Belmont announced Paige Rugaard as its new head cheerleading coach. She succeeds Jessica Woody, who was named Belmont head STUNT coach in November.
“I am beyond excited and honored to be the new head cheer coach at Belmont,” Paige said. “I am grateful for the work of both coaches who preceded me, who poured into this program and am excited to build upon that foundation. Go Bruins!”
Paige has served as assistant cheer coach at Belmont since 2023. The Morton, Illinois, native was a three-year letter winner on the Belmont cheer team, including representing the Bruin program in men’s and women’s basketball postseason appearances, Bruin Club Golf Classic, and Missouri Valley Conference introductory press conference.

WHY DOES THE BELMONT ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT NEED GIFTS TO THE BRUIN CLUB? The Bruin Club provides critical support to our student-athletes and coaches. It also allows Belmont to address the rising costs that are associated with a highly competitive Division I program. The support of our members allows our coaches and our teams to build and maintain successful sports programs.
Your support is an investment in the lives of each student-athlete who wears the Belmont uniform. Bruin Club gifts support updated training facilities and equipment, team travel, academic support programs, and other essential components required to support Belmont’s teams.
HOW DO I JOIN THE BRUIN CLUB?
You can join by returning the enclosed membership form or contacting Russell Grimm, Executive Director of the Bruin Club, at russell.grimm@belmont.edu or 615-460-5668. You can also make a gift by visiting BelmontBruinClub.com.
WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES FOR MY CONTRIBUTION? The Bruin Club operates on a fiscal year calendar, in line with the University calendar. Therefore, Bruin Club memberships begin June 1 and end May 31 of the following year. For gifts that accrue seating benefits for men’s and women’s basketball, contributions must be received before season tickets are purchased.
WHAT IS THE VINCE GILL ROOM? The Vince Gill Room serves as the main hospitality room for the Bruin Club. Located above the main concourse on the west side of the Curb Event Center, the Vince Gill Room overlooks the arena. It serves as a place for Bruin Club members who contribute $1,500 or more to enjoy hospitality privileges before tip-off and during halftime of men’s and women’s basketball games.
IS MY DONATION TO THE BRUIN CLUB TAX-DEDUCTIBLE? Yes and no. Belmont University is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization. An acknowledgment letter will be sent to you upon receiving your gift and will serve as a receipt of your contribution. By law as of 1/1/2018, gifts that accrue seating benefits are NOT tax-deductible. However, if you elect to decline seating benefits, your gift may be 100% tax-deductible. As with any tax inquiry, you should consult with your tax advisor.
DOES MY BRUIN CLUB MEMBERSHIP ALLOW ME TO PURCHASE BASKETBALL SEASON TICKETS? You do not have to give to the Bruin Club to purchase basketball season tickets. However, if you are interested in sitting in the Bruin Club Sections (115 and 116) or enjoying the “Curbside” seats, a corresponding gift must be made. See the benefits chart (page 12) for details.
HOW IS MY MONEY USED? Your gift will contribute to the future success of our studentathletes. One hundred percent of your Bruin Club donation goes to support the greatest needs of Belmont’s Athletic Department, as determined by the Athletics Director on an annual basis. These priorities vary from year to year but are always focused on enhancing our program to benefit our student-athletes and coaches. We need your continued help and support more and more each year as Belmont student-athletes strive to achieve success on and off the field.
DO I HAVE TO GIVE $100 TO BE A BRUIN CLUB MEMBER? While we do accept and appreciate any and all financial contributions, your gift must meet the $100 minimum to receive Bruin Club membership benefits.
WHY MUST I CONTRIBUTE TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE VINCE GILL ROOM OR SIT IN THE DESIGNATED BRUIN CLUB SECTIONS? While we appreciate any and all financial contributions, we do require a minimum gift of $500 to purchase basketball season tickets in the Bruin Club Section. We require a minimum gift of $1,500 to visit the Vince Gill Room for the pregame meal, halftime snack service, and Chalk Talk. This is due to the cost of food and beverages served and the desire of the Bruin Club to ensure the benefits received at this contribution level are a commitment privilege.
