Fort Bend Central Appraisal District’s (CAD) formal and informal hearing results are displayed below: The Fort Bend CAD total tax savings in 2022 of $134 million is more than the 2021 total property tax savings of $120 million. Property owners in Fort Bend County protested 112,560 accounts’ taxable value in 2022. In Fort Bend County, 57% of property tax protests were filed with the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) and 86% of informal protests were successful. August 2023 An estimated $111 million dollars in tax savings was generated based on property value reductions at both informal and formal hearing in Fort Bend County in 2021. Of this total, $30.7 million in estimated tax savings can be attributed to informal hearings and $80.5 million in estimated tax savings resulted from ARB hearings.
