PROLOGUE How hard is the truth sometimes? How much pain and how much sorrow does it cause only by hearing its name? However, our human nature includes all the kinds of behavior and feelings! Fortunately, for all of us, there is the repentance, the deep, humble and real repentance which makes everything looks like faded stains! BEFORE CHRISTMAS Christmas Eve… We are preparing feverishly for the reception of our favorite celebration. Shopping, decorations, presents and the cookers also celebrate baking 1melomakarona, 2diples and 3 kourabiedes. We can see various Christmas trees going here and there… Some of them are carried on people’s shoulders, some others in cars or on motorcycles… everyone is carrying a Christmas tree as they can. Children buy their new triangles having the hope that people will be more generous by hearing the Christmas carols this year. In The Churches, beautiful hymns and followings have been hearing for 40 days now in order to welcome the birth Of the Son Of God. Hope is born, the sky is smiling, and hearts are beating in a joyful way as they were little bells. The hearts of the family Doukaki are beating exactly in the same way, in the rhythm of Christmas. Panayiotis, have you brought the Christmas tree? — Yes, honey! I put it in the living room. I am going to bring the Christmas ornaments. 1 2 3
