AT THE HELM...

2019 has certainly been an eventful year in the world of travel, full of ups and down. The effects of Brexit uncertainty and the sad demise of Superbreak and Thomas Cook. At Ocean World Travel, we've had a successful year, despite all the struggles. We were lucky enough to be part of the MSC Bellissima christening celebrations at the start of the year in Southampton. Carrie and Kym experienced an iconic transatlantic voyage on Cunard's Queen Mary 2. We've toured countless ships. Jordan explored the stunning scenery of Norway with Fred. Olsen. Kym flew to Guernsey to learn about the must-do things on the island. Lottie, Samantha and Jordan discovered boutique cruising on Saga's first custom-built ship Spirit of Discovery. Charlotte and Kerry travelled to Germany for a river cruise along the Rhine on Fred. Olsen's Brabant. Samantha toured the incredible countries of Vietnam and Cambodia on a Riviera Travel escorted tour. Kerry experienced a Belfast city break. Several of the

team also spent a night onboard MSC Grandiosa, the latest new ship in MSC's rapidly-growing fleet. MIchele enjoyed being on the first sailing of Sky Princess in the Mediterranean, and shortly after joined Norwegian Encore to check out yet another brand new ship! It certainly has been a busy and rewarding year for our team, but someone has to do it! We are confident that no matter what type of holiday you are looking for, our team have experienced it first hand, so let us know if you have any travel questions - we love to be quizzed on our knowledge!
