Downtown OC has everything in 2026 Family-friendly events, amusements, food, and more await you June 2026 brings a jampacked calendar of free events, milestone celebrations, and high-flying thrills to Downtown Ocean City If you've been waiting for the right moment to make your way to Downtown Ocean City, June is it. The weather turns reliably warm, the ocean beckons, and the downtown streets and beaches come alive with a lineup of events that gives visitors more reasons than ever to spend time at the south end of town. June also happens to be one of the best months to visit, before the peak summer crowds arrive and while the town still has a relaxed, unhurried energy that makes it easy to explore at your own pace. The month opens with not one but two reasons to head downtown on the first weekend. On Saturday, June 6, the Ocean Bowl Skate Park celebrates a remarkable milestone: 50 years of skating. Tucked between 3rd and 4th Streets on the bayside, the Ocean Bowl holds the distinction of being the oldest municipal skate park in the United States, and this anniversary is worth celebrating. From 4-6 p.m., the park will host music, memorabilia displays, awards, and skating. Whether you're a lifelong skater or just someone who appreciates a good piece of local history, this is the kind of event that makes Downtown Ocean City feel like a true community. That same weekend, the beach between Wicomico and North Division Streets transforms into a competitive arena for the Sand Duels Beach Soccer Tournament, where youth and adult teams square off in fast-paced 5-on5 matches. It's free to watch and ranks among the most energetic weekends of the season downtown. One of Ocean City's most spectacular annual events re-
turns to the skies above the beach on June 13-14. The OC Air Show is headlined this year by the Air Force Thunderbirds, whose precision flying routinely leaves spectators speechless. Joining them is the Patrouille de France, the French Air and Space Force's elite demonstration team, making Ocean City the launching point for their "Liberté 250" U.S. tour celebrating America's 250th birthday. Any spot on the sand offers a great vantage point, and the show is free to attend. VIP viewing options are available; visit www.air.show/oceancity for details. And if the Air Show puts you in the mood to keep the good times rolling, the OCDC brings the free and familyfriendly OC Cruzers Car Shows to Somerset Street between S. Baltimore Avenue and the Boardwalk on June 14 and June 21. Each show runs from 3-6 p.m. and features a full array of hot rods, muscle cars, and classic vehicles alongside live music or a DJ. If you're visiting with little ones, mark Tuesday, June 16 on the calendar as well. Trimper Rides hosts the Bubbles & Beats! Kids Dance Party from 4-6 p.m. where a live DJ spins tunes while a foam machine fills the air with bubbles for an afternoon of dancing and summertime fun. Then on Saturday, June 20th, the Beach 5 Sand Soccer Series brings another day of fast-paced sports competition to the beach at Dorchester Street, with all games packed into one action-filled afternoon. Beyond the events, Downtown Ocean City provides no shortage of ways to fill a week or a weekend. The three-mile Boardwalk stretches from the Inlet northward, featuring arcades, amusements, restaurants, and shops that keep visitors of all ages entertained for hours. Trimper Rides and Jolly Roger Amusement Pier anchor the south end of the Boardwalk with rides and Continued to Page 4
