cross April, locals and visitors are encouraged to indulge in foodie feasts, weekend markets, enchanting autumn gardens, twilight escapades, guided walks, and captivating art exhibitions and creative workshops. There is an extensive Festival calendar of more than 50 events across the shire. Follow Australia’s Biggest Pie & Tart Trail, featuring 50 sweet and savoury pastry creations, and raise a glass along the Autumn Tipple Trail, pairing delicious bites with 37 signature drinks. EATERIES Local eateries taking part in the Pie & Tart Trail are 3 Little Pigs, Gisborne; Sheppards Choice, Gisborne; Baringo Food and Wine, New Gisborne; Gisborne Ice Cream Co; Gogos Cafe, Macedon; Mount Macedon Winery; Macedon Village Hotel and Dromkeen Gallery. Others venues taking part around the shire can be seen on the Festival website or on the Map and Passport. TIPPLERS Local venues taking part in the Tipple Trail are Gisborne Collective, Baringo Food & Wine, Macedon Village Hotel, Mt Macedon Trading Post, Mount Macedon Winery and Mount Towrong Winery. Other venues taking part are available as above. OPEN GARDENS Mount Macedon Autumn Garden Trail includes complimentary shuttle bus with ticket purchase. The three participating gardens – Duneira, Forest Glade and Viewfield – have created a single ticket for visitors to make the most of their day on the mount. They are open at weekends and public holidays during April (including Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day). The complimentary shuttle bus is available from Centennial Park, Macedon, for visitors with the three-garden day ticket, or a single ticket to any of the three gardens. Collect the Autumn Festival Map and Passport from participating venues.
