EcUpper Ecolit students completed a trail improvement project funded by a NIPSCO grant, engaging in purposeful, hands-on work by transporting materials and contributing to the restoration of their outdoor environment.

Leigha and Meg found great joy in witnessing students proudly share their work with their families and the wider community during the showcase, reflecting a strong sense of ownership, confidence, and pride in their efforts. All students will begin to take their work home in the middle of next month!

Art Gallery Etiquette
Throughout the school year, students are introduced to gallery etiquette, developing an understanding of how to respectfully engage with art in both our school gallery and in the wider community. This week, they practiced these expectations as they prepared to walk through the Arts Showcase. Students focused on moving with calm, controlled bodies, using quiet voices, refraining from touching artwork or displays, and maintaining awareness of themselves and their surroundings as they observed.

TUpper Elementary Theatre students recently concluded their study of the Elements of Acting. Over the past several weeks, students have explored and refined five key elements, including memorization, as they worked to bring their performances to life. Through this process, they developed a deeper understanding of how voice, movement, expression, and preparation contribute to meaningful storytelling.
To demonstrate their understanding, students created and performed original parodies and retellings of Greek myths. They thoughtfully applied each element of acting, making intentional choices about how to communicate their ideas clearly and creatively to an audience.
The final performances reflected not only imagination and humor, but also growing confidence and ownership of their work. It was a joy to witness students support one another, collaborate, and take pride in their efforts.
We are proud of the dedication these young actors have shown and look forward to continuing to nurture their theatre skills in the weeks ahead.
