Why We Have Loved Living Here.
We have called this street home for 19 years, across two different houses, which probably says everything. There is something very special about Collingwood. It is vibrant, friendly and full of long term residents who genuinely care about the neighbourhood. It feels established and grounded.
We love being so close to Ponsonby Road. We can wander up for dinner, a coffee or a bit of shopping, yet being further down the street means it is peaceful and quiet at home.
It is incredibly convenient. The motorway access is easy, we can walk into the CBD, and there are bus routes at both ends of the street. Everything feels within reach.
Despite being on the city fringe, we enjoy expansive views across the city and out to green spaces. It never feels hemmed in.
The house itself has been a wonderful blend of character and comfort. It has all the charm you hope for in a home of this era, yet it lives so easily day to day. The light moves beautifully through the spaces, there is a real sense of openness and connection to the outdoors, and it has always felt both welcoming and calm. It is a home that suits entertaining just as easily as quiet family time.
The section gives us privacy, security, elevation and wonderful sun. It feels sheltered, but open at the same time.
