The Biomedical Research, Innovation, and Imaging Center (BRIIC) expands our research footprint and positions the university and the region to tackle new frontiers in disease diagnostics and treatment, advancing research discoveries in life sciences, biomedical tech, and biotechnology, as well as imaging and microscopy. BRIIC researchers are working toward breakthrough treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, clinical depression, neurodevelopmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, heart disease, cancer biology, and other pressing health conditions.

Research and entrepreneurship are how we make the world a better place.
Faculty actively mentor students in the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), helping them conduct research and launch startups in fields like bioengineering, robotics, nanotechnology, machine learning, and AI.
New York Tech is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education, designated by the NSA and Department of Homeland Security, which funded a cuttingedge cybersecurity lab on our Long Island campus.

2. Submit required transcripts and test scores (optional for most academic programs).
3. Submit two letters of recommendation.
4. Complete your 300–350-word essay, following one of the prompts provided by Common App.
ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
Combined Life Sciences/Physical Therapy:
50 volunteer hours are required in a physical therapy setting.
Combined Life Sciences/Physician Assistant Studies: 50 volunteer hours are required in a medical setting.
Digital Arts and Graphic Design: A portfolio is required. Architecture, B.Arch.: A portfolio is required.

Innovation in Action
Through a unique contract with NASA, New York Tech students gain direct access to the agency’s patented technologies. At the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center, they study these patents, build working prototypes, and present their results to NASA’s licensing team and entrepreneurs at the annual Assistive Technologies Startup Summit. This one-of-a-kind collaboration takes students behind the scenes at NASA while giving them an extraordinary chance to connect academic innovation with real-world application and commercial potential.
