Job Vacancy Service Manager – Family Support
Location: Jewish Family Centre | Salary: Dependant on Experience Contract: Full-Time, Permanent | Reporting to: CEO and Board of Trustees
The Role:
To lead and manage the Family Support Service, delivering high-quality, safe, and effective support to children, young people, and families. The role includes oversight of a multidisciplinary team and responsibility for safeguarding, service delivery, and development.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team
• Manage referrals, assessments, and case allocation
• Oversee Family Support and Contact Centre services
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection requirements
• Develop strong partnerships with schools, social care and community organisations
• Maintain oversight of complex cases and provide professional guidance
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
• Report to senior leadership and Board of Trustees as required

About You:
Social Work qualification
Minimum 5 years’ management
Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
Experience working with children, young people, and families
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage complex cases and multidisciplinary teams
